Went to happy nails to get my nails done before my wedding. Wasn't greeted when I walked in, just asked what I wanted and told to sign in. A woman walked over and told me to sit down. Before I could say anything she just grabbed my hand and was starting her process. I took my hand away and told her to hold on because I had a picture of exactly what I wanted. I showed her and she then proceeded to get up and ask 3 other men working there a question. She came back, I picked my color and we got started. Everything went fine up until she didn't understand how short I wanted my nails. After a few minutes of trying to explain to her I just said forget it and moved on. I washed my hands and got up to pay. We walked to the counter and she whispered to me that is was going to be $50. I was a little taken back because their pricing board said $25 for a full set of acrylics but I just thought maybe it was because of how I wanted my nails. So I paid and left. As I was walking out and admiring my nails (I hadn't gotten my nails done in 3 years prior to this so I was very excited) I noticed that 2 of my nails weren't properly done and you could see my natural nail underneath the acrylic which is very disappointing. I also noticed that my nails had small fuzzies on them, rough spots from dried acrylic, and bubbles. After about 2 hours my natural nails were in extreme pain which anyone who gets there nails done knows it's because they file your natural down way too much. For paying $50 I expected more. I will not be returning to happy nails ever again and I do not recommend them to anyone. I had a few people ask me where I got my nails and I told them and I also told them I don't recommend them going to happy nails. A few of the people told me horror stories about their experience also and they told me that modern nails in the mall is way better. Overall, happy nails is over priced, and bad quality. Read Less

I was at a nearby restaurant on a Saturday afternoon and stopped in on a whim to get a manicure. Vinnie comes highly recommended by a member of my family, and luckily there was no wait to have him start my manicure. $25 for a no-chip manicure is a great deal (at least by my standards -- I do not live in Midland)! It's only been a week, but my nails still look flawless. I also appreciated that a brand new set of manicure tools is opened for each client. The vibe here is casual and not terribly calming or fancy, but they get the job done and they do it well. Read Less

I wanted to get my nails done for my sister's wedding and unfortunately my regular nail salon could not get me in. I swung by Happy Nails because it was near her house and got a toenail polish change and a manicure. The place was bustling so I took that as a good sign.A lady who spoke no English took me back to the pedicure area so she could change my toenail polish. I had a dress on and she never bothered to get me a towel to cover my lap. Hopefully I wasn't flashing her the whole time. She took off my toenail polish, buffed my nails, and put on the new polish. After that, we went over to her station for the manicure. She did a French manicure and I noticed that the clear polish was super gummy, like old and should be thrown away. I couldn't ask her about it because she couldn't understand me and everyone else was busy in the pedicure area. But it looked okay on and I went to dry my nails. They have no professional dryer, just this black light, fan thing. It really didn't do much except cause little bubbles in the polish. It took an eternity to dry. All of this cost me $32 which I thought was outrageous due to the fact that I didn't even get a pedi, it was just a polish change on my toes. Luckily the polish stayed through the wedding but this morning, it is cracking all around the edges because the polish was so old. I'll have to take it off because it looks horrible. I definitely would not recommend this place. Read Less
