The services were wonderful as were the staff. However, when I checked out I had a question on the amount (was different then what I was told at booking) and I was not treated very politely by the manager and like I was doing something wrong. Up until that point it had been an awesome experience, but the check-out left it as a negative experience simply because I asked a clarifying question. My wax was good, lady was very friendly and efficient, virtually painless. But my nails... $40 later and over an hour later my nails are different lengths, some even slanted. Even after I asked for it to be corrected and the polish dosent even cover my entire nail! Polish is nowhere near my cuticle on a few and didnt go all if the way on the sides. I frantically called salons in Linden & Fenton.   Everyone was booked. A salon suggested Serendipity which I thought was only a spa for massages. I called and explained our situation and   That we had hour and 15 minutes to make her beautiful. The gal on the phone said come in we will take care of you!! The stylist Melanie was awesome and talented. I highly recommend her! Not only did her hair look beautiful they gave her time and space upstairs to get dressed and make up. The staff was so calm and pleasant and made it really fun!  Even served the adults wine. I can't thank you enough and we will be coming again for sure. See at prom!! Read Less

I was impressed by the cleanliness of the salon and quality of services. Soon my daughter and husband became regular clients as well. I booked a massage for my wife for her birthday from our kids. When scheduling the appointment, I told the receptionist it was a surprise for my wife and paid in full over the phone. Later in the day my wife was contacted with conformation of the appointment. When I called back to express my disappointment, the receptionist shrugged it off, said sorry that's how our system works and left it at that. I mentioned again how it was a suppose to be a surprise from the kids and it would have been nice to be warned at the time of booking that a conformation would be sent out. Cancel means cancel. On 7/31/2016 I sent an e-mail canceling my membership and stating that going forward the Spa was not authorized to charge my credit card any more fees , and I received a confirmation back from the manager that my membership was canceled. So how does it happen that in January and February 2017, my credit card was charged $50.00 each month. Doesn't cancel mean cancel? I guess not at serendipity wellness spa in Linden. I was told today by the manager that the policy back then was to only place the account on a hold for 6 months. I didn't ask for a hold, I ASKED FOR IT TO BE CANCELED. I was told by the manager today at 830 am that she would contact my credit card company and make sure the charges were refunded today. That never happened, because this evening I contacted my credit card company and they stated they have not received anything from the Spa or talked to anyone. So now I am dealing with the credit card company directly. The manager called and is asking for me to provide the phone number to the credit card. Pretty sure all she has to do it google the phone number, since they have my card information. Also anytime I needed any type of service at the spa, and called to book something they never had anything available, I physically had to go in and speak to the person or persons who I would like to see to get an appointment. The girls at the front desk ignore anyone who comes into the spa, and most of the time you have to wait for one of the front desk girls to be at the desk. The front desk girls really need some customer relation training. The front desk all look like a bunch of young girls not wanting to be there. This Spa sure has gone down hill over the past 9 months. I absolutely love this place! Jordan gives the BEST pedicures! I'm super picky with my pedicures, and I love that they use the callus eliminator. It makes my feet SO SOFT! I came here recently for a much needed massage, and it was wonderful. To the right, inside the front door there is a wine bar - I've never seen this at a spa, but what a great idea! I saw a few of their offerings that included some kind of drink pairing. The bar side / drink inclusion would be really fun for a group outing or special event. Upon checking in I was offered a complimentary cookie. I accepted, of course. I never turn down a free cookie, and this was a nice surprise. I waited for my masseuse in a side waiting room and eventually was led upstairs to my tidy, inviting massage room. The room was spacious, warm, and had low lighting - just the way it should be. This was a good massage. Some areas of the bod could have been worked more, but overall I enjoyed it. At the beginning she used some kind of aromatherapy, she seemed to know what she was doing, and there were several nice touches throughout including hot towels and an eye mask. It was ok I guess. My wife and I got the 90 minute relaxation massage and they spent an hour on literally the middle of our backs, then the last thirty every where else lol. I mean it's a massage so I can't say  it wasnt good right? If you want a real massage, go to any resort in cancun, best massages ever! I love Serendipity pedicures. The environment is usually calming and posh. But then again, for a $70 (after tip) pedicure, I expect it to be! The massage chairs are very nice. I wish the employees would spray clean the headrests after each client, however. I have never seen this done. But I'm more of a dirt-aphobe than most people, so maybe others are not bothered by resting their head where dozens of other greasy heads have been. I like having music playing in the background, but on this visit, there was more country music, which I despise, so that definitely affected my experience. I totally understand that you can't please all people all the time, particularly with something like music, but maybe generic "spa" type music would be better? While I didn't have a glass of wine THIS time, I LOVE that it is offered. Mimosas are my favorite. As an aside, I went on my birthday. It would have been fun to receive a complimentary mimosa to help me celebrate. Normally, my Serendipity pedicures last nearly a month, but this particular pedicure receded from the tip of the toenails after ONE day. I don't think my tech must have covered the tip well enough. It will require that I do a polish change soon. For the record, that is unusual here. I also like how friendly the staff is. In fact, on this particular day, the main road that they are on was blocked off for a local event. I received a phone call just prior to my appointment to alert me of that fact. It was nice to know ahead of time so I could change my route and parking plan. One more thing to mention that I like is that you can tip off of a gift card. I did the "Mini Escape" package, as a first time visitor. What a beautiful place! The package included a pedicure, manicure and 30 min. massage (wished it was longer!). From the moment I stepped in the door, I knew I found a great place. Julie, Kate and Megan were very nice and professional. The services were excellent and relaxing. The decor is warm and inviting. The building is spacious and open. The prices are well worth the drive from Ann Arbor. I didn't get to try the wine at the Wine Cafe (yes, inside the Day Spa) but maybe next visit! Read Less
