First time here and first time getting shellac done. Experience was awesome! My girl (Shannon Crowley) is so darn cute and she was so pleasant and answered any questions I had. I was only there maybe an hour. She’s quick yet takes her time and gets it right! I’m a very picky person (just ask my daughter lol). If I could give more stars I would! Great place and my favorite salon for haircuts! Super helpful and wonderful atmosphere. Went here again since it's been a year since my last trim and style. I like the Sarahs there at the salon (one of them did my hair before), but they were booked. Daryll was new to me, but she was very helpful and understanding on what I requested and wanted. She did a fabulous fast job! (2016) Got my hair cut and style there again in Aug 2017 and loved what Lisa did for my textured layers to add more volume! My husband purchased a gift card for me for Christmas. $75 and there was a promotion of extra $20 bonus bucks. When I called to make the reservation I said I had an email gift certificate with bar code because he purchased online. I asked about the $20 bonus bucks and was told I could only use $10 at each appointment. So In order to get the other half of bonus bucks I'd have to book another appointment. NEVER did the girl say because the GC was purchased online that there wo...uld be no $20 bonus bucks. At my appointment I showed my stylist a picture of the color I wanted ( close to my own) with a few caramel highlights on top. It came out Ashy black/ brown with ashy light brown highlights. She did a nice job on the cut, I wasn't happy with the color but I didn't complain. The stylist walked me up to the reception desk and stood there the entire time I checked out, as if she was waiting for me to hand her the tip. That is very unprofessional and awkward for me. The receptionist scanned the barcode on my email GC, I reminded her of the $20 bonus bucks, she said that was only valid for GC purchased in the store not online. So I had to fork over an extra $20 I wasn't expecting to and tip the 20% because the stylist was standing there waiting for her handout. When I got home I confirmed the Facebook ad for GC doesn't specify must be purchased in store, called salon to clarify and was told someone would call me back. 2 hours later, I still haven't heard anything. I always go here to get my hair done, the girls are awesome and take the time to listen and make sure they’re doing your hair the way you want. The place is beautiful and clean, very professional and they’re also wonderful at doing nails. I showed a picture of the nails I wanted from Pinterest and she took her time and even restarted because she felt she could have done better. 10/10 would and have recommended to people. Read Less

The worst eyebrow experience of my life. Of you want I credibly straight, zero arch...this is the place for you! I even told her I usually go to flint and get very high arched brows more on the thin side...I let them grow out more because I wanted an even higher arch than usual, and walked out with straight eyebrows! Today, on a whim I scheduled a hair cut appointment with Melanie, since my stylist was booked and I needed a cut. My hair is super short because it is just growing back after 6 rounds of chemo. Melanie did a wonderful job, cleaned everything up, while still keeping my length. It looks like I intentionally cut it this short, not like it’s just growing back!! She was so sweet and I really enjoyed talking with her. After she gave me a beautiful cut, she refused to let me pay! I tipped her anyways and thanked her many times. She has a new client for sure! I went here recently with my mother for a pedicure. She, my mother, got a lengthy message and the technician took time to care for her feet and skin. My technician, however, had her children there. They made rude comments about my feet. Her sister brought her Starbucks during our service and had a lengthy conversation. It may be a comfortable environment for those who know the staff, but for someone who came from out of town to enjoy time with their mother, it was a disappointment. I would not recommend. Well I have a question, "have any of you wanted a trim & had half your hair cut out of your head?"I asked specifically for a trim and set an hour appointment. Years of personal haircuts later a young stylist decided to texture my fine haired head- 8 snaps later and a pile of hair in the ground, I was shocked- astounded & absolutely in tears. -My hair is destroyed!- like a weed whip went in and had a malfunctioning!-They COATED THE DAMAGE WITH OIL and suggested hair extensions!I have not one good thing to say about the passive way they gave me FREE service or told me the owner did not care-at all, and would not bother talking to me, as per the Manager,"...she doesn't care and it's like talking to a wall?..." I went into the salon today for a massage and I must say it is the best massage I have ever received! Kit knows an abundance of information about what she does and does it well! She was very informative and told me everything she has found with my alignment, muscles, etc. I need to have someone that I can faithfully go to and does great work and Kit is that person! My mother also went today and had Naomi and also had nothing but great things to say about her! Sarah McCarthy is wonderful! She really listens to what you want, but also thinks about the health of your hair and how it will be effected by whatever you’re having done! I recommended my mom to her for a cut and color. She went from a short/shoulder length style to super short. Great job! Very professional yet not stuffy, gorgeous nails and very personable staff. Daryl (sure I spelled it wrong) did a mani pedi with gel and I couldn't be happier with the results. Going for hair for the first time here in a few days and I'm sure I'll be updating my review with great results again. Just a little update for my review a few days ago about my mani pedi. Very beautiful salon and friendly staff. My hair turned out awesome however I didn't leave til 4:30 and I got there at 12:30.. also it was over $125...my hair only goes to my shoulders. I gave a three because I like the way my hair turned out.. however when I was being told a price first it was $125+ then it was $180+ then $150... very very confusing and in my opinion pricey. I love Beautiful U! I recently switched here from another salon and I'm so happy I did! Everyone is super friendly and no one made me feel rushed at all-even though I have TONS of hair and it takes forever to do it.  It's a super cute place with calming decor and very reasonably priced.
