I went with my friend to get a deluxe pedicure. It was our first time here and I thought maybe because of the reviews it'd be worth it! However it was not! The guy who did mine rushed through the while thing. He barely massaged my calves and feet. I'm normally happy to pay $50+ for this service but after watching my friend get the best service while I was got rushed out of my chair. After letting the manager know what happened she excused his actions by saying it was his day off and they are really busy. So I get crappy service because of that?! Wow. I went to Ann and got shellac nail polish with matte top coat with my natural nails! She was amazing! She is patient, listens to what you want and does your nails how you want it done, gives an honest opinion, and is consistent. Her pedicures are a must! She does not rush. For pink and white i went to Sam and he was great! Fast and efficient! Read Less

I was told about this place by one of the nail artists Miranda. decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. everything was spotless and they had hundreds of colors to choose from. my daughter and I got a beautiful holographic pink. Have been going for colored acrillic for about 6 months now every 2 wks. I work on call so I'm 5-10mins late often, but Houa is a young mother & she leaves right after my appointment at 5:30-6pm anyway. I’ve been going here for well over 5 years. Every couple weeks. I spend a lot of money, I tip a large amount and I’m simple. A fill or polish change. When I walk in I’m treated like they’ve never seen me before. Being a single mom and having a very active young son I can’t always schedule an appointment and when I’ve brought my son in with me I feel like he’s disrupting women trying to relax. And that’s not cool. I’ve overlooked the burns from the drill on my fingers, or t...he infection I got on my finger after getting cut there from their tools because overall they are one of few In the area that offer the selection they do. I show up with the knowledge there will be a wait and that’s just how it goes. But I must say if you’re open until 8pm and you accept walk ins I shouldn’t be turned away at 6:37pm for a fill. Made an appointment and still had to wait an hour for a pedicure, I sat in the pedicure chair for 25 mins before even being acknowledged. The guy who then did my pedicure cut my toe nails way to short and made them bleed 3 times. Didn’t scrub my feet which defeats the purpose of a pedicure. He also didn’t lotion my feet he lotioned my legs and that was it. The day after my pedicure my nail polish is chipping off and 2 days later I’m pretty sure I got some kind of wart on the side of my toe from them and it’s painful. I came in on Friday with my mom for pedicures. The woman who started my pedicure cut way too far back into the sides of my nails and now I have multiple painful ingrown toenails manifesting. She passed me off to a man to finish my pedicure and the “callus removal” and “massage” we’re done with such a light touch they may as well have not happened. Two weeks ago I was on the West side of Lansing so I stopped into Jenny's for a change polish on both my fingers and toes. I requested the gel polish so I do understand that it is usually a little more. I was quite surprised when the gentleman told me that would be $50.00. I even said: Are you sure? He said yes, $50.00. I just had the exact same service done at Golden Nails on the South Side of Lansing for $30.00. TWENTY DOLLARS DIFFERENCE! I had the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. My niece and I made appointments to be seen today and when we walked in I felt an instant negative vibe. The woman was just telling us to go sit in a chair, it was far from inviting. I was first serviced by Sam to have my nails filled. He barely spoke to me and cut me with the drill over and over again on every finger except 1. My cuticle are still red and one finger was bleeding. Before he was even finished with me grew started working on another customer and he didn't paint my nails. I was told to go sit in a pedicure chair where another man began to work on my feet. It was the quickest pedicure I've ever gotten. My feet look great but he was rough and hurt me with his knuckles and nails while massaging my calves. It was an awkward pedicure. I asked if he could paint my nails when he was done because my nail tech never did and he tried to convince me to keep them bare because he was going to charge me to paint them.... I obviously came here to have my nails done so I told him to just do it. The picture I've included is of my nails. ... the one crappy coat he did to appease me... they look awful and at this point I just wanted to leave but I also needed a wax. The lady who did this for me was pleasant and kind, she was great to deal with, my only complaint is that she left wax on my brow and lip that I had to clean off when I got home. At the end of the visit I ended up paying $63 for a crappy experience and nails that I'm going to have fixed at another shop tomorrow. Then Come to find out when I left that they charged my niece $53 for a fill and 1 gem so I'm positive they ripped her off. I won't go back. I'm so disappointed. I wouldn't go back here. They took us on time (appointment) and the experience (hot stone was good) but the cons outweighed the pros. First of all, my gel nails were a little blotchy. After they were done, it looked uneven. They also chipped five days later to the point where I had to remove all of the polish and repaint them myself... The pedicure was last and after they were done, they rushed us out immediately. My toes weren't dry yet and I accidentally hit my big toe on something and I had to repaint my toes. $55 later...my toes lasted for two hours (that's when I noticed them) and my manicure (gel) lasted five days. The WORST service. If I could give zero stars I would. If you want to pay over a $100 shellac mani/pedi and have it peel off a day later then come here; otherwise, please look elsewhere. I asked for polish to be removed, as it was peeled off half my nails. The nail tech used an electric drill on my natural nails and ripped my cuticles off to the point of bleeding. I have been coming to Jenny Nails for almost ten years. They are clean, nice and do a great job. They are always busy so try to call ahead or make an appointment but they do try to accommodate walk-ins. Just don't try to walk-in on a Saturday. They also have child pedicure chairs with DVD players.  I bring my daughter in every time with me and she loves it. It only costs $15 for the kid pedicures. Read Less
