I can't recommend Guys and Dolls hair styling salon more highly. I've been a client for at least 15 years. The employees are friendly and accomplished. I called the salon this morning around 10am to see if my stylist was there today, and it turns out she no longer works there..so the receptionist told me Adrienne could see me at 1p today. Okay, sweet. I show up at 12:57 and the receptionist tells me to sit in the waiting room and that I've been checked in.. at 1:18 she walks up to me and tells me "Adrienne is having some trouble and won't be here until around 2p." .....uh I don't just have a ton of free time to sit and wait for her. First time there and I had Cate Saxton for a men's haircut, and she was extremely professional, kind, and kept a nice conversation going through the entire haircut. She even kept me updated to what she was doing to my hair, which you don't get very often from other stylists. If I stay in the area, I'll definitely try to get her again! Read Less

I love this salon for hair and tanning services, but do not EVER get your nails done here. My sister and I went in for basic polish manicures and ended up with the worst manicures we've ever gotten. The stylists were kind and good company, but my sister's stylist didn't even soak her nails, he filed them unevenly and didn't buff them afterwards, and gave her a messy and overall poor polish. My stylist was late from her previous appointment (which she did apologize for and comp half the service because of it) and while she did an okay job shaping my nails, the polish is full of air bubbles and half of my polish chipped off less than 24 hours later. Both stylists used a nearly-empty top coat that ruined our color as it was stringy, goopy, thick, and put air bubbles all over the color. We ended up with 75% off for the 2 manicures due to the poor quality, which the salon entirely understood and apologized for, but it was a pretty terrible manicure experience. Read Less

My husband recently had a double lung transplant, and after months of being by his side 24/7, he treated me to a day of pampering. The massage was wonderful; Laura found every tight muscle in my neck and back. However, the massage room seems like an afterthought. It's really just a narrow a cement brick room (maybe 6' x 15') and you can hear everything going on in the salon right outside the door. It actually felt a lot like a jail cell. There must be a speaker near the door ...because I could hear the salon's upbeat music battling with Laura's serene music. The vacuum for the hairstylists is right next door and that could be heard running a few times. In terms of ambiance, the owners might want to look into creating a better environment for their customers. My mani/pedi was okay. The nail tech was very nice but I had to clean up polish on the skin around my nails once I got home. All in all, I'm disappointed. I've always heard great things about Guys & Dolls for hairstylists. They need to do some work on their other services. I don't know if I'll return for another massage unless that area is improved. See more Read Less

It took six weeks to get in for a massage and then they cancelled it two hours before my appointment. They gave me another appointment three weeks out, so it's taken me NINE WEEKS to get a massage appointment with them. If I could get a refund on my Groupon I would.Read Less

I always have an awesome experience here with my hair stylist Ella!! I have extremely thick hair and it's usually pretty long, but Ella takes her time and makes sure it turns out exactly how I want it. I would definitely recommend her if you want a professional opinion on the latest styles and trends, and are looking for a reliable stylist who listens to everything you want!
