Today was my first time trying this nail salon and I am thoroughly pleased! Everyone was super friendly and it’s a beautiful salon! We were greeted immediately by the receptionist who took the time to make sure our water temp was perfect and offered us something to drink. Super nice place. Was very expensive looking but VERY affordable. Our bill (before tip) came to $99 for two pedicures, a regular manicure, and a full set acrylic with shellac and design. They did a great job, made nice conversation with us, really made sure we were getting what we wanted, and offered us beverages such as water or sodas. I will definitely be going back!! Edit: I only go here for my acrylics and sometimes pedicures. Those complaining that it's expensive must only go to extremely cheap places, because this place is very average in prices. I can't say I've been satisfied everytime I've been here. It entirely depends on who you get. I have to say Tina is my favorite. If you find someone you like, request them for an appointment in advance. The last time I was there they switched the technician in the middle of my fill, which I wasn't very happy about. But I always get compliments on my nails. They last forever too! I have some issues with lifting on the ends, but that happens even if I go to the very high end places since my meds make my nails oily, so I can't say that's their fault. Expensive and got nothing close to what I’d requested. I had a pic of a great looking gel manicure - the guy that seemed to be in charge shoes the pic to a nail tech and assured me she could duplicate the look. Turned out to be horrid - he thought they looked great ! I ended up soaking my nails in acetone as soon as I got home. . . . I spent too much cash here for the visits I experienced lady rushed so bad first time I was cut clean on my pinky from a finger file and I went back a 2nd time because it was convenient. Totally disgusted. I went there for a fill with my daughter who got a pedi. I sat there and waited as they helped 4 people that walked in after me and so i walked out. And daughter who paid $28 for a pedi had a luke warm water for foot bath, no dead skin removed off her feet, no lotion on her feet. and the paint job she could have done better herself. Did a walk-in fill... She did exactly what I asked for, for exactly the price I was told, and even fixed a number of issues my nails had from a different shop. I am new to getting my nails done and so I was unsure that the things bugging me were things to be concerned about... Turns out, my instincts were correct and my nails are MUCH happier now. My friend and I waited an hour past our scheduled time, when I was finally seated I explained to the woman what I wanted and showed her a picture, a slightly coffin - squared shape with two glitter polished nails. The women looked confused and had to pull someone to explain what I wanted, I should've known it'd be bad after that but I went with the service anyway, I asked about their colored powders and the woman barely answered my question and offered to grab her shellac colors instead, got up and mumbled something under her breath as she walked away almost as if annoyed. Once she did my nails she rushed through the entire thing and I ended up with square- round misshapen  nails, she painted my nails and asked me again how I wanted them painted. I explained and showed her the picture her response was that she didn't know  how they'd end up looking because I picked the color. At the end of service I had nail glue and dry acrylic under my skin and nail, the woman good clearly tell I wasn't happy but wrote me up for $40 anyway, grabbed her purse and got ready to go home. I did not have great experience at this salon because the guy who did my friend’s nails was terrible carelessly. I over paid for mine pedicure and my friend’s fullset. The total I paid was $130. rushed the process....as soon as I was told I was good to go, my nails got all messed up. mind you I didn’t go around rubbing them against stuff, the quality was just poor, like if I just did them at home. not to mention the guy was all grumpy. only one top coat, other places give you 2+..and expensive for the shitty service they offer. Seems like this place stays super busy but they keep on top of it and keep the place clean also - which is no easy task. I was happy with the mani/pedi I got and it was super quick, which I was happy about. Not a super relaxation kind of place to get your nails done, but that's not what I was looking for anyhow. If I had written this review after my first visit it would have been 5 stars, hands down. But my last 2 visits have each taken away a star.Visit 1 was a WONDERFUL pedicure from Ha, the massage was great, the environment was clean and relaxing, and I was so pleased with my pedicure. I would recommend Ha to anyone.Visit 2 was just a manicure, and it didn't go very well. The manicurist left little puncture marks at the base of each side of each nail with the cuticle scissors. They were painful on a few fingers for a few days, and it was AWFUL when she put alcohol on before she painted. Ouch! Manicure lasted about 4 days (not shellac).Visit 3 was a pedicure and manicure duo, and unfortunately I got the same manicurist as before. The pedicurist ended up cutting a chunk of my big toe and it bled like crazy. She did not apologize, nor did she ask if it hurt when she put cuticle remover, alcohol, and paint on it. Then of course came the acetone to remove the paint off the skin, ouch! I asked the manicurist not to use cuticle scissors because of my last experience with her. She managed to still cut 2 of my fingers using the white square buffer. How on earth?!Next time I will be asking for Ha or Daisy (based on someone else's review). At the time, I had a great experience here for a shellac mani- the staff was super friendly and the paraffin wax was so relaxing at the end of the mani. It was incredibly fast (under an hour) and only $25. Too good to be true, right?! Well... yes - my manicure chipped within two days and was completely ruined within three. I had high hopes with all the good reviews. They were nice and able to get my daughter and I started right away when we walked in. The place was clean and comfortable and the price was right. The massage and prep was fine. My daughter's toes came out looking good. Unfortunately, my big toenails came away looking goopy rather than sleek and shiny like I expect with a good pedicure. Clean and welcoming inside, everything looks new and well taken care of.  Every staff member was professional and courteous. Polish selection was great and it looked like they had many other options if you like gel or "dip" and do acrylics (I do not).  Spa pedi service was legitimately relaxing!  My finished polish job was not 100% perfect (very minor bubbles and some uneven color near cuticles) but the rest of the experience completely elevates it in my opinion to a 4.5 star. Tom was amazing! Great prices compared to most places and better quality. Every nail station has a TV, massage chairs are great. Front desk guy was awesome and found me a matching gel color to my pedicure color when he noticed I was struggling to find a color I liked (be there in a prosecco). Tom did my nails and was very attentive, detail oriented and did the best job I've seen on my hands and feet compared to other places I've gone in GR. This place isn't good for pedicures. I was cut twice on my right foot - on 1 of my toes, the pericurist cut the entire length of my skin that connects the toe (which is painful). She worked incredibly fast, not watching what she was doing. There was very little massage. She repainted my big toe at least 4 times and still didn't get it right. Made an appointment for three of us with the intention of having a girls day. All of us were split up, and one person didn't even get a manicure. The other two were already finished with their mani pedi, so we just left. Unfortunate, when an appointment is made, there should be people reserved to take them through the appointment as a group.  The manicure results were fine for the two who received one, they were bummed though as their cuticles weren't pushed back or trimmed. My mom and I came here for the first time last Saturday. They were pretty busy, but they were well staffed so we waited only a few minutes before we were in the pedicure chairs. I went in for a fill, the woman said I needed a new set cause my nails were all lifting. I agreed, after removing the tips, she cut my natural nails off really short before putting new tips on. Now the new tips are all lifting and not staying down. She put the acrylic on so thick and they are all uneven. I don't recommend this place to anyone. I've been going to these people for 12 years always have great work done price is cheap!!!! they're great when you have children always Accommodating. The offer refreshments and make sure everyone is helped. They always look for new ways to do nails. I drive every two weeks to get my nails done all the way from Ionia. Finally, after trying multiple salons I've found my fave!Nice clean big salon with cool decor.  Convenient location with parking just off Beltline and 28th St.What makes this my nail salon of choice is that they cut, scrape and sand all the tough skin off your feet and their polish will last 1-2 months!  They offer you a beverage and don't rush you either.  Other prissy salons just don't do that good of a job I've found.Great selection of nail colors including OPI, they also carry vinyl polishes that last longer, and of course Shellac.The massage chairs are a nice touch, except I don't like that they are automatic as I prefer to control settings so I can select knead and not the goofy vibration setting that make your boobs shimmy hahaApparently, they just started a massage service also.Prices are very reasonable and you can do add ons from the basic is you want a full on pamper session.WONDERFUL service especially by Daisy :) Morning drop ins are the best if you don't want to wait or make an appointment. I have been there twice. The first time I went the owner... gentlemen did my nails. I asked for a specific shape but didn't know the name... but I had a picture.. he called it "coffin shape". He did my nails how I asked however I was uncertain of the shape but they were fine and I am not a big complainer considering it was what I asked for. I also got a pedicure and showed them in advanced that I had broken my big toe nail down below the skin on one side. I asked the owner I...'d he could have the tech put a tip on it to even it out so it didn't look awkward. She filed them out and did not put the tip and when I asked her a few times she did not seem to understand me. When I was done the owner asked why she didn't put it and I shrugged and said I told her but didn't complain. He discounted my pedicure and I left happy. Three weeks later I returned this time for a fill with color change only. Ivy did my nails. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and the shape and she "nailed" it (no pun intended) the shape is amazing and exactly what I wanted the first time as well. From now on no one will touch my nails but Ms "poison" Ivy she told me she was picky about the shape and she was and perfectionist to my benefit. The ones we'd been to previously were just okay and we would leave not feeling totally satisfied. This was not the case at Nail Lounge and Spa! I came there on and off for a while but stopped going because the last three times I've went recently my nails break within the first week. And they break doung stuoud little things like dishes and laundry. Now they're so damaged I have to sit with three ghetto broken nails and wait until they heal before they can be done elsewhere. Last time I was rushed and they came out uneven. And when I chose my polish the woman, three times ,complained that I should put another color under it. It was so annoying. My nail tech didn't push back my cuticles which meant they looked grown out almost immediately. I got almond shaped nails and I had to keep asking her to fix them as she went because she wasn't paying attention and she was applying them crooked. She kept talking to co-workers and was very distracted. She also complained about a customer who kept coming to get her nails fixed... Both nail beds on my pinkies are now painfully cracked because the nails weren't applied close enough to my cuticle and the cuticle wasn't pushed back at all. This means that a weeks worth of growth made them half grown out on my nail and the stress caused the beds to crack. If applied right, the nails will be coming off on their own by the time there's a danger to the nail bed. I've had nails done elsewhere with no issues. I will never get them done here again! Read Less
