Heather is incredible! She does the best dip powder manicures ever and puts in the time and effort to make sure your nails look perfect. She knows I'm not a fan of the electric file (since every other nail tech always ends up hurting me with it) so she goes extra slow and gentle to make sure that doesn't happen. Treat yo self! I love this place. Never much of a wait, they attend to you quickly and give you advice if you have any questions (like if a certain polish chips fast or if you just want an opinion). I got partial acrylics the first time because my thumb nails were pathetically short and they were happy to help me. Everyone is very friendly - if you want to talk, they'll talk to you. If you don't wanna talk and just get yo pamper on in peace, they'll leave you be. My nails done by Leo, and a young man I forgot to ask his name. This might be my new favorite pedicure place. I called earlier this morning before they were open to make an appointment for today. They called me back later when they were open- without me having to leave a message. I really appreciated that. The entire place is very professional and clean. The chairs look new, as do the tables. The ceiling has these cool light tiles that have pictures of tropics or clouds on them. It was super relaxing. You can tell the owners really care about the place. Everything is very sanitary - they use a new file/tools each time, and even gave me the set they used on me to take home. I think I'll come to this place from now on! I have been going to this salon for over a year now and I love it. I can call the day of most weeks and get in after work for a pedicure. Leo gives the best foot and leg massage I've ever had during a pedicure before. As the previous review states, you may have to come back if you just walk-in but I think that is something that most people know may happen if you don't have an appointment so I would recommend calling to schedule first. The weekends are a little more booked so I do my appointments during the week. Both Leo and Heather are very nice and welcoming.  I am always pleased with my service and I think for the price it is very affordable and the best pedicure I've ever had. Such a great experience with Mira Nails!! I called at 6:30 pm and they said they could get me in at 7:00 pm (closing time for them) and they squeezed me in and did the most perfect job on my nails!! I came in here off of a friends recommendation. And she was ABSOLUTELY right! What a great clean place! The guy had me sign in and took me right away! I sat down and had a nice conversation, he asked me why my plans were for Valentine's Day and I told him and he genuinely seemed interested. He was very gentle and was great at what he did! It is hard for me to find a nail salon I am comfortable at, this might just be my new place! I will definitely be back for my fill in two week! Very clean place! I got a simple manicure with shellac polish. My cuticles were nicked during trimming. The polish was goopy and even when I selected a different color the result was lumpy and polish not even pushed to my cuticle line. Cracked in less than a week. My experience was terrible. I went in there to get gel nails and they eneded up being super thin and sharp. And then they offer to paint my child's nails and I asked them REPEATEDLY if it was going to cost anything. No one answered me. So i had to pay extra for that. I will NEVER go back. Read Less

My sister and I made an appointment for the same time. One man did both of our pedis, so we weren't done at the same time. Not a huge deal, but the quality of work was not good - he just seemed to rush through both of us (and there weren't a ton of people waiting). This place is a no go. The pedi  was very short and the polish job was not good! As far as cleanliness, it was awful. My technician was answering the phone with her gloves on and filling other people's water with same gloves that touched my feet. I saw her put the tools back in the same "sanitizer bag" they came out of without wiping of my dead skin and put it back into the autoclave box. (Which I'm not sure was even working) I won't be back. I love mira nails but last time we went they had a new nail tech who was training... not that I'm against trainees... but that should be asked ahead of time and definitely not charged full price the poor girl was terrified cause she kept getting scorned in front of customers which affected her work....long story short I wasn't happy with my pedi at all but didn't want to complain cause I felt so sorry for the girl already... but you guys should definitely compensate for the work costumers shouldn't have to complain paid 70 bucks for nails and pedi and it should have been half the price Read Less

I have come here for mani/pedi's for the past 2 years. This place is near my house and I haven't tried any other nail salons in the area.  Find something good and stick to it!  No reason to go elsewhere.  Friendly staff, & they recognize me as a repeat customer even though I only come in a few times per year (probably because I always come here with my bestie and we are a memorable pair)  :)  They really do lovely pedicures - hot water, lower leg scrub, lotion, hot towel, etc.  Very relaxing and thorough from start to finish!  The free beverage for customers is also an added bonus; makes me feel like a VIP, even though I'm drinking a Capri Sun (or pop, or whatever).  They also have guest wifi.  Most of my visits are walk-in and we get right in. I've never gotten the deluxe pedi, but the standard feels deluxe anyways! Standard Mani/Pedi is $35 and you definitely get your money's worth with quality work done on your nails! Read Less

The techs were talking in their native language to each other most of the visit, they didn't engage much when we were asking them questions, and they seemed to rush through the service. I have been a loyal customer with Mira Nails for a while now after being dissatisfied with other nail salons around Kalamazoo. I went in for my monthly ritual of a mani/pedi and after my toes had been done and I was about to have my fingers done, I discovered that my wallet was not with me! After moving to Kalamazoo from Chicago, I was worried I would have trouble finding a nice, reasonable place to get my nails done. Great nail salon! Heather did a wonderful job on my no-chip/shellac manicure. My previous manicure was soaked off properly, then my nails were filed as requested and my cuticles trimmed. I thought they did a great job on a basic mani/pedi. Their massage chairs are new and they have a nice drying station which my other nail salon does not have. I also messed up two nails, went in the next day, and they redid my polish for free! Pays to be a good tipper I guess. Their prices were super reasonable for mani/pedi ($35 total). I don't know what's up with the bad review. First time here, VERY impressed with my nails. I got acrylics and then had them painted. They look phenomenal. Not good,  got a pedi.  Worst pedi I have ever had.  She was done in 20 min,  let the scrub on my legs,  no moisturizer.  And the Polish wasn't smoot.  See pics .   The bottom of my feet were not very smooth either.  Go anywhere else! Read Less

Seriously? Skip it. My sister, best friend and I came in for mani-pedis today. We were assured it would only be a short wait, so we stuck it out. Over an hour and an ice cold spa chair tub later, we still hadn't been helped. We each had varying degrees of bad service--my pedicure was rushed, sloppy and irritating. My previous polish wasn't removed completely and, instead, painted over (poorly). Thanks, but I can do that myself at home. The manicure was equally dismal; the five whole minutes of effort really shows. The three of us convened to compare results once we were finally finished... two and a half hours later. And none of us had what we would consider acceptable workmanship. Honestly. It's a fricking manicure, not rocket science. We won't be back. Read Less

This place is ok, but don't expect more than the minimum. Decent work, terrible color selection, even worse customer service.  Pedicures are variable in content and quality.  What ruined this place for me, though, is that I went there for a pedicure one night, was told that they could fit me in, and then had to wait 45 minutes.  (I should have left, I don't know what I was thinking!) When I commented how long I had been there, I was berated by 2 staff members ... for not asking how long the wait would be and not telling them that I was not able to wait for an hour.  Unfortunately, I won't be going back. This is the BEST nail salon in Kalamazoo (and I've been to at least 15 of them!). - It is much cleaner than any other salon I have been to in the area. - The prices are the same, or slightly less than some other salons. - The employees are friendly and courteous (Like most other nail salons, they are all Vietnamese and speak frequently in their native language...but it still doesn't come off as too rude.)- They do a fabulous job. -They offer you pop or water while you wait.
