Completely messed up my nails. I'm actually going to have to have one removed and reapplied. Kent argued with me about the color. I asked for a orange based nude, refused repeatedly to give me any color I picked. ??? Why dude ??? Insisted I wear hot pink nails. I picked a pale sparkly pink but it needed three coats after I applied the first coat it was too transparent. He told me three coats was not possible and then again tried to paint me hot pink. I said no, again. And finally I got another nude color but then go my surprise he painted two more coats on top of the first coat. So I couldn't have the color I wanted but you can actually paint three coats. My nails are now detached from the acrylics and it's going to cost a lot more to replace them. And 35 dollars for a fill? Seriously? He wouldn't even shorten then properly I would bet money he's absolutely not a nail tech. This is the only salon I trust!! Helen is such a sweet heart, and she always does an awesome job. She is the only one that ever does my nails, and she never disappoints. I had my nails done as a french tip Thursday, ( its monday) and they started to turn an orange color. So, I went to get them fixed and Helen was very polite, complemented my prom dress she had seen pictures off and made conversation. She redid my nails for me with no charge, and with a smile. The owner is a nice dude that's always been friendly to everyone I've seen him interact with and he's always in the shop which is nice to see, the previous owner of the shop was a family friend and it seems to be running just the same now as it was with the previous owner friendly staff and great results. HORRIBLE EXPIERIENCE. Kevin did my nails and was very rude for no reason. My full set was horrible. Bubbles underneath the polish. Didnt paint all of my nail. Very unhappy. Will never go back. I’ll give my money to someone who will HAPPILY do my nails and do a GREAT job. Read Less

Bi did my nails and didn't know what he was doing apparently. He had to get Tina's help, and my nails were so uneven that I had to go home and fix them. Horrible experience especially telling me that I had too much cuticle after explaining it had been since November since I had a manicure. I won't be coming back. Read Less

I've came here for years but my last experience is my last time going. They used un sanitized utensils and now I have a bad foot infection. Also didn't give me what I asked for on my nails. I spent $110 in this place for bad service and a foot infection. Read Less

Went to get an acrylic set and the man i had was very nice and did and very good job. I love there prices as well. Only thing i didn’t like was i felt kind of rushed by another man who wanted me to pick out my nail color. Other then that the guy i had did a fantastic job! Read Less

Went to get a full set. After being rudely told to sit down, I then had to wait 5 minites for the young man to get his supplies together, which I was understanding about until he rudely asked ME if I was ready yet (like wtf? I'M waiting on YOU sir). Then he said I was complaining after he left a nice chunk of acrylic on the side of my nail, when i tried to pick it ogf he gpt mad. Now I have been having my nails done for over 20 years & NEVER have had a nail tech be so sloppy.... Once he got irritated & mind you i never said a word during all this, even though throat punching him while him, Helen & the other female tech decided it was ok to talk about myself & my friend in their native language. This young man finished my nails & they look good, but to be treated like a piece of shit or an inconvenience when I am PAYING for your service means that You sir need a new damn job! PERIOD!! I work in customer service & if I EVER treated a customer like that I would have been fired! I will NEVER cpme back or recommend your salon to ANYONE!! The manager performed my pedicure. She was nice at first until I declined to buy the "premium pedicure" for an extra $10.00. She sighed a lot and became annoyed with me turning on the massage chair. In the past my pedicure and nails were done to perfection at VN Nails.  Today I went there for mani/pedi because I have an important event to attend tonight and tomorrow.... Well pedicure was done to perfection.  I have my own long nails and stated that I wanted to keep the length and have just a manicure.  Dong tried talking me into shellac .... at first I said Ok but while still getting the pedicure told him no that I only wanted a manicure because the shellac caused some irritation last time.  He seemed upset with me and finished the pedicure.  Then he was also doing my nails which he has never done before.  He cut them almost as low as possible and they are rough and not a finished feel to them.  I will not go back .... I go in and say I need Gel refill and polish w/shalac and want want feet washed toes fench. I say I don't want anything done to my toenails just polished. ( I clip N filed toenails before coming) how much $ ? I get KEVEN, So to put it short, I felt rushed to pic color, he kept making inpatient sighs, he hurt me with grinder and got stern when I jumped, kept tapping my hand or push my arm with sighs of aggravation and when I thought he was done with dryer he says sternly PUt YOUR HAND back in there like dumass. Then stands up OMG hes pissed cuz dust is on him. I go to the foot bath area and he starts to prep for polish, I say wait, what about washing feet, he looks at me in question and he speaks good English, I need them washed so he he turns on the sprayer emediant hot and scalds my feet as I'm say ouch hot, hot, and squirming my feet out of range , he messes with temp and still a bit too worm. Why didnt you feel with your hands? I guess they misunderstood what I wanted. I He just rinsed and did Polish no pride in his work, rude and shows he is burnt out, pun intended. I don't know how to get pic on here. My nail edges are rough and polish isn't covering the sides. I didn't have anyone fix it because I knew I wouldn't be back. I got a pedicure on July 4th (the deluxe pedi) and noticed about a week later I had a white film under my toe nail. It slowly started to spread across my whole toe nail and after getting it checked out I learned it was a fungus. Now July 31my big toenail is coming completely off. Read Less

Normally they do a great job on my feet, but this time the guy that was doing my feet was rushing and seemed irritated, he kept answering his cell phone and walked away at one point. I felt that he was very unprofessional and didn't even do a good job on my feet. 2 days later they are ruff. Read Less

Left with my nails feeling and looking great. Two hours after I left half of the gel polish on my left thumb peeled off in on big sheet. And then today (the next day) all of my tips on both hands peeled up. Looks so dumb and will cost me more to have fixed. (See pic in comments). Read Less

No, just no. Would give 0 stars if possible. First thing Danny told me was that he was going to be moving really fast and "I needed to keep up". Later, I pointed out a nail that was thick, he told me I was incorrect, then left me at the table to heat my nails for a minute, came back, looked at my nails, and accused me of picking at them. Absolutely ridiculous. When filing with the electric buffer or whatever, he was going so fast that he filed my skin on 3 nails to the point of raw skin. At the end, he was trying to remove the polish he had gotten on one of my fingertips, & used the electric buffer/filing thing and made my finger tip raw. What the actual hell. Every time I go in they do very well on my nails and charge me at a reasonable price. However I don't feel very welcomed I kinda feel miss placed when I'm in there they always seem Disgusted with how I want my nails done... However they do an amazing job and never displease how I like them done. I'm actually going today to get filled so we will see what happens. Read Less

I have been getting my nails done by Helen for years before she and her husband opened their own salon. If you receive bad service you are not telling them what you want. I hear what people say to them....some of them have no idea so how are the technicians suppose to know what you want. Stop blaming them and blame yourself. The guy did a wonderful job on my nails. He really took his time and I am happy with my nails.  They look very nice. I am NOT happy about the customer service.  I only had the one guy do my nails so I can't speak for everyone in there.  He was rude and short with me, no expression, no smiles....and even when I thanked him and told him I like my nails he didn't seem to really care and he genuinely probably doesn't care. Located in the Westwood mall off michigan Ave. I'm from California and it's been difficult to find a nail salon that does as good as a job as the nail salon I had in cali. I've tried about 3 different ones in the last 2 months and this is the best one I have found so far. I went for my second visit and got a full gel set. Coral orange nails with glitter ombre. Helen and Tia were helpful in making sure I was satisfied with my nails. They don't have swarovski crystals to put on nails like back on cali but she said if I bought them and brought them in, they could put them on for me. So it was nice of them to try and accommodate me. I showed a picture of what I wanted and Tia got it perfect. Pricing is about the same as cali but you pay what you get for.I had my nails done once before and I never chipped or broke any nails when Tia did them for me. I only get gel nails so this review is only for gel nails. I also got a pedicure and it was okay. Good but nothing special. I wish they had different spa packages but they only have one regular package. Read Less
