I couldn't believe the service I received today. Although I was disappointed with the work from the week prior I thought that I would get better results with a different tech. NOT AT ALL! It was worse. He didn't clean my nails property and left residue and polish from before. When I asked simple questions about his process HE ACTUALLY LAUGHED AT ME! I was so embarrassed. I didn't want to get rude myself. I simply paid him still gave him a tip and left. I called the shop and asked for the manager. He told me I should know what I want when I get there! Wow! How professional. I asked if I could return tomorrow, have the work removed, get my money back but keep the tip. He said no. I guess I'll have to chalk it up as a loss but I'm terribly disappointed. I got my nails done here and my nails we're all different shapes, the lady who did them was not even paying attention most of the time, the appointment felt very rushed, and shortly after getting them done my fingers began to bleed. I really wanted to like this place and did for several months. They did a nice job on my nails which I do pink and white, was excellent. I used one nail technician. Once it appeared I was a burden and she was sullen several times in a row, i moved on. I don't expect much from a technician. i don't expect to carry on a conversation but stilted yes or no and throwing your hands is unacceptable. Called the night before to book 4 pedis and one mani. When we arrived they were ready for us...and our last minute changes of 5 pedis and 3 manis. Was my 1st time there due to my normal nail salon out of power and when i walked i was wondering how long the wait would be due to very busy. I waited 20 mins and waited on by a very nice gentleman my the cashier desk who did a great job on my fill and cut my nails down perfectly. All and all i was in n out within an hr. Very reasonably priced. Went for a full set with my friends who love this place. And really that is the only way I'll go back, to hang with my friends. I've been spoiled by family members, who also do nails for a living, which are very meticulous and who have a high level of cleanliness, so I am more critical than most. The tech was very nice, he did a competent job. But, I can do the same quality job that he did with a Meijer acrylic kit at home. He filed my nails with a n...ail file that was white with acrylic, (hadn't been cleaned), and he actually cut my skin on one finger with the file. Before putting on the tips he did not push back the cuticles, just used a grinder to roughen the surface, which I didn't see if those tips were kept in a sanitizer solution or not. The only equipment sanitizer jar I saw was by the sink and I don't think there was anything in it. Now, I don't want to deter anyone from going here, like I said, my friends love this place, I'm just a bit bummed that I had to come home and fix my nails before I put my own colors on. Just got my nails done at Sky Nails....I don't know where to begin. Was greeted warmly. Told them what I needed which was a new set of Acrylics. Brian came out from back and asked me to join him at his station. There he looked over my nails.....thoroughly I might add ! I am extremely picky about my nails. I like them Oval....not too long....not too short and definately not thick !!! They are perfect !!! Love this place !! If you need a new place this is it !!!! Thank You Brian....You're the best !!! I used to like sky nails before their business got heavier. Now I have wasted my time and gas twice. I had an appointment, and then when I get there they are not ready and say it will be well over 15 to 20 minutes of a wait. Which defeats the purpose of an appointment. its a 30 minute round trip for me each time, hence wasting my gas. No longer a happy customer. I will not waste my time or gas next time. Read Less

The hunt for a good nail place has also proven very difficult. Let me tell you, it's hard to come from California and expect the same caliber of treatment when it comes to nails. I always get Gel nails, and they did a horrible job. I showed the guy who did my nails a picture of what I wanted, which was an easy ombre nail with glitter, and he said okay. First nail looked horrible, so he re-did it. It looked a little better, but as he did the whole hand, it just was getting worse and worse, not better. I figured out he had no clue how to do an ombre and decided to not waste any more time having him re-do it. I paid $45 for the gel fill...way too much first of all. I pay $50 in California and that's with Swarovski crystals on two fingers!!I did my nails for a wedding I had to go the next day. three days after the wedding, two of my nails chipped from the edge. Gel nails always last me at least one month even with cooking and cleaning.I'm not even going to talk about the pedicure, it just isn't worth talking about.Bad gel nails, bad pedicure, and too expensive. No thank you. Never went back. Now I go to VN Nails inside the westwood mall, and Tia is very good at gel. She is the only one that is good at gel though. and only $35 for gel fill.Still looking for a nail salon that does real Swarovski crystals near Jackson. Please message me if anyone finds a place!
