This is the best place I’ve been looking for in Howell. They have many options for people that are picky like me. I use to do acrylics for 15 years now that they recommend me with the DIPPING POWDER that they have 500 colors which is the best thing ever. It’s hard and healthy my nail have been stronger ever since. So if you guys have a complain waiting and bad job I don’t know what’s your problem. I used to really like this place but the last few times I've been there the service has been lacking. A few months ago I got a pedicure, nails diped and an eyebrow wax. The lady refused to trim my eyebrows when she waxed them claiming it would make them to thin. My eyebrows get long and I have always had them trimmed. The lady that did the dip nails put the wrong color on and then tried to convince me it was the same color I picked. Then refused to redo it. They used to give really nice pedicures with hot rocks and hot towels for the $26 price. Now they show you a fancy spa list and it you only want the " basic" they rush through it and barely file your toes or your callouses. I'm sad. Love this place, I am very picky and have been getting my nails done my whole life. They are great here and the lady who does eyebrows really takes her time and does a great job. This salon does not even deserve one star. I was there on 7/5/2017.  They hurried me through a mani, pedi, and waxing. It was not relaxing in the least. I saw no sanitizing of instruments or materials they used before or after my procedures. The man who did my pedicure, used a nubby sponge to remove dead skin from my feet. He rinsed it in the water in which my feet were soaking, and then he threw it back on the small table beside me. I'm assuming the next person in that chair, would have the same sponge used on his/her feet without being properly sanitized. I have had many other pedicures and manicures at other places. For my pedicure, the tech did not use a cotton ball on my nails with alcohol to make sure the polish would adhere after the soaking. The soaking water smelled as if it had bleach in it with some sort of blue bubbly coloring. I hope my feet were not soaking in bleach as their way of sanitizing the foot soaking sink. The pedi tech did not put a coat of clear adhering polish on my toe nails so the polish would adhere. He put on one coat of my chosen color polish and then a clear top coat instead of two coats of polish before the top coat. He wrapped my legs in one warm towel for 20 seconds, tops.  As for my manicure, it was done in about 5 minutes. I did not have any polish put on. My hand soaked in warm water. There was not a soaking agent in the bowl to help soften the cuticles.  I also had waxing on areas of my face. The woman who did the waxing told me to be quiet. She knew what to do. She did want not my input on how I wanted my eyebrows to be shaped. I kept insisting on what I wanted. She was very rude. I accidentally left my wallet there. I called them to see if it was there since the salon was the last place I went before my wallet went MIA. They said it wasn't there. I called them back again. They told me to come in to look at video footage to see if my wallet was present on the video footage. On the phone, I described my wallet to a tee. I went to the salon prepared to look at video footage. When I arrived, they opened the front drawer of their desk. My wallet was there. They told me I couldn't have it. I needed to provide identification that it was mine. I told them all my identification was in the wallet that was in the drawer. Duh! It was such a simple matter that became so complex. There was a lot of anger on my part and the manager who rudely told me to leave.  What were they thinking?  I spent some anxious hours wondering where my wallet could be while they were playing "their game."  They told me, "Well, we didn't steal any money from it."  That was not the point. The Bureau of Licensing in Michigan should pay a surprise visit to this place.  I'm contacting the BBB. This salon cut a lot of corners with time, proper sanitizing, and "product" for me and, I'm assuming, they are doing the same for all their other customers. Shame on them. Worse place ever. The owners/employees are rude. They ask what kind of pedicure I wanted. When I said "I only had 60 mins so just a regular".  The nail tech a!! didn't even file my nails. She slapped on polish and I was done in  20 mins. And my nails look awful. Stay away. Read Less

I had a horrible experience at another nail salon. They tore off my nails and i wasnt very happy. I came in this place this morning to get them fixed and everything was amazing. The lady working on my nails did a fantastic job. The only thing i would say she could have done were my cuticles but mine arent bad at all so im not even mad. I only had to tell her once what i wanted and i cant say the same for the other place i was at. Went in on Mother's Day. They only had 4 people working and an hour and a half wait. They soaked my feet for 45 mins then gave me this half ass pedi which took about 5 mins as you can tell by the great paint job. Then charged me $26. I used to love this place. The past few times I went, they're getting lazy and seem to just not care. I shouldn't have to go home and file and grind my own nails. Yesterday I showed up at 9:32am. Terrible experience! The guy that did my nails the LAST time was very rude and unprofessional. It was so bad that I ended up in tears and somebody else had to finish my pedicure and manicure. I don't care how cheap they are - it was the worst experience I ever had at a salon. Never going back to Snow Nail in Howell. Horrible! I stopped in to get a quick manicure while I was in town visiting family. They asked me 3 different times if I was going to get shellac and I said no. That apparently isn't the right answer and the lady rushed through the manicure, only put one coat of polish, and rushed me over to the dryer. She was much more interested in the person that just walked in wanting shellac mani/pedi and ran over to give her service without even moving my purse/coat over to the dryer. The manicure did not look good when I left and a couple days later I have to take the polish off. What a waste of time. Read Less

I came to Howell to meet up with a friend and we picked Snow Nails based on a suggestion from the owner of The Parlor right across the street. I am very picky about my manicures and pedicures and this place delivered. They were very thorough with the cleaning and cuticle removal of my hands and feet. The nail job was PERFECT. With my shellac manicure, she painted right down to the nail bed and there has been zero lifting after 7 days. I often struggle finding a place that can apply shellac well, so I am very happy. On top of the great job, everyone was VERY friendly and accommodating. We joked around the whole time, and they were pleasant without being too talkative or awkwardly silent. They let my friend and I sit next to each other every step of the way, even while she was still getting her pedicure and they were removing my previous shellac. I live about 35 minutes away, but it was definitely worth the drive. Read Less

Been there a couple times and it was always good. Today was horrible. My daughter went with me, she was helped by Simon I believe made her feel really uncomfortable about herself. She has really short nails and when she is nervous she ribs and sometimes bites them but that was one of the reasons why she wanted her nails done. Her made fun of her biting her nails and not having a job "just" going to college is not enough. Lucky for him I did not hear all of this during the vis...it. I for sure will not go back since I am not giving my money to people who insult my daughter and me like that, because it is not his business that I pay for my daughter mani or not. My mani looks ok but far from perfect. My daughter wanted a French tip and the white part is more than the "natural " part. So she will get her nails done somewhere else in the future. New owner since I had last been there-place felt very clean, new paint job, new massage chairs-overall very classy look.  I think the prices are comparable to the area. Worst experience ever. Everything was rushed and I spent over $40 on shellac gel mani. The shellac had to be redone 4 times because it was not drying and it was being rushed (the machine also was not working) finally he just said I was done and the shellac polish was still not dry causing the polish to discolor and have wrinkles in it. He told me to come back during the week it would be better (it should be good anytime I go). About a week later the polish was chipping off. I will defiantly be taking my business elsewhere! I will never be back here. I feel like my $56.00 for a  shells mani and pedi was just stolen from me. I have never felt  so rushed and pushed out of somewhere like I did here. The new owners are so much nicer. Nice to see they cleaned and de-cluttered. I am looking forward to the NEW change in color, chairs, tables and carpet. I keep telling them they need to do what the other nail place does. Give water or tea and candies. Add lemons to the foot baths and lotion after EVERY nail fill. I can get a coffee, my nails done, hit Kohls, the dollar store and other stores where Id still be waiting to get my nails done at other DIRTY unfriendly places. Read Less

$38 for mani and pedi, they did a good job but it took 2 hours. Shellac is an extra $30 for toes and $20 for nails, which I think is a bit much! I think I will keep on driving to east lansing for shellac, cheaper and I can get in and out quicker. Read Less

This place is pretty average. The woman who did my mani/pedi was uninterested and gave me a 30 second massage on my hands and feet - It felt more like a rushed expirience than a relaxing one- even though I was the only one there. The french tip pedi looks great but the fingers could have had a little more care. For a $ 60 combo I was expecting a little more. Read Less
