Not a great experience at all, got a pedicure and acrylics with shellac. They didn’t put soap in the water for the pedicure and my acrylic nails my thumb is crooked and the polish looks like crap very bumpy and not good coverage. Also the lady was very impatient and rude was getting frustrated because my finger wouldn’t bend the way she wanted to. Still paid full price for a crappy job, will never go back! Read Less

I went here with my bridal party... my nails were done so badly that it looked like I had troll fingers and needed a fill. I went back the following day and told her to re do them. She was rude about it. I asked for the other lady to do it instead of her and she had the nerve to tell me I will have to pay,., really I will never go back to that place again. Disgusted Read Less

I think I have officially found the WORST nail salon in Barrie! If I could give half of a star I would! Just spent 2 hours to get a shellac manicure done. The lady re-did my nails twice and they still look absolutely terrible! She didn't see anything wrong with the disaster she created and tried to charge me full price. A child could have done a better job! I would not recommend this place and will not be going back! Read Less

Today I went & got my nails done and after they were done the lady told me it was an extra charge of 10$ because of the shape I got them filed into & because they are long... 1 they didn't tell me about the charge before hand and 2 that makes 0 sense when the length isn't extra work. The fake nail is way longer to begin with. I've been to this location many times and never been charged extra for the length and shape (I've heard some places charge extra for pointed but mine were square with the edges taken in a bit) I showed the lady a photo before hand and not once was I told there would be an extra charge. (also nothing is noted on their price board). As well as a few of my friends that have gone to this location and noticed extra charges were tacked on without an explanation. There is only one place I would get my nails done and that would be Sammy's. I advise you to not go to JJ nails on the south side of Holland. We came as a bridal party and the employees were cold and sloppy with their work. First the massage chair didn't work, the water was ice cold, and the bath wasn't cleaned after the person before me. If I could of taken a photo I would. There was a hair ball sitting in the water and she didn't bother to clean it out... HOW GROSS! On the other note the polish is all over my feet and when I asked her to clean it up she just looked at me like she didn't understand. I believe when coming to a salon it is important to make the guests feel satisfied, which I am not. Also, if you are planning to come as a group, plan on waiting a long time. Since when does a pedicure feel like a drive by service! I am not impressed with the amount I have to pay! The water was cold, didn't put any soap in the water, didn't turn the sink on, didn't soak my feet first! Asked for the razor, managed to do one foot and then broke, instead of getting a new one just asked to use the grater! It was very quick I could do it myself, the massage for leg and foot quick! I went here yesterday to get my nails done while I waited for another appointment and the entire experience was dreadful. They were SO slow. Who knew a shellac manicure would take over an hour. They didn't use fresh tools on me, nor did they clearly use sterilized ones. The ones they used were just already sitting on the desk. Everyone that works there looked miserable. And I don't know what's going on but the skin around my cuticles is SO SORE and itchy today. I can't help but wonder if that's from them using dirty tools on me...I will NEVER go back here. I have been a regular here seeing Hazel but recently she has been sharing her time at another location. I just had my nails done today with a different technician. My nails were cut too short, uneven and sharp. Technician did not brush off my hand and nails prior to applying fresh gels and less amount of applications for both base and colour. I needed to specifically request a 2nd layer of top coat. I felt rushed and my nails are all uneven and colour not applied all the way back to base of nails. Not a finished look. Was told by a friend to try them. Bad mistake! I needed a fill but next thing I know she is ripping my acrylics off! She cut me twice and tried to say I had dry skin that made me bleed! She was very rough, my fingers hurt for days after. And it cost me $40! Never again! Read Less

I went in wanting something a little different and asked to get pointed acrylic nails. It was obvious the staff wasn't used to shaping nails this way but my nail tech (I wish I had gotten his name) was nice, patient and did a very good job. I'll definitely be back. Read Less

I was traveling and had some spare time, so I decided to go here.  The worst! $5 extra to trim heel callouses, really isn't that part of what a pedicure is?Girl was rude and didn't do a good job at all, nail polish all around the skin on my toes.  My pedicure was done and I needed a fill too.  I had to wait about 25 minutes while she did another pedicure to come back to me and do my nails.  I was not   happy.  I will avoid this salon next time I am traveling in that area and I suggest that you just drive on by to the next salon. My best friend took me for a mani and pedi for my Birthday, I had never been to this "spa" before, which didn't feel very spa like. Usually the people are super friendly and chatty, the ladies who were doing our nails barely said two words to us the entire time. Then one of my toes got cut open, with no apology or anything she just carried on. We were sent off to the drying table and basically were forgotten about. We probably sat there for at least a half an hour before we finally went and stood at the counter to be cashed out. 3 days later my finger nails were already chipping so badly that I had to take the polish off. OHHHH and 2 of my toes around my nail are so badly infected that it hurts to walk. Makes me wonder if the items they use are even clean?!? Read Less

I had the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I called ahead to see if walk-ins were available and they said yes. My friend and I sat in our chairs for ONE HOUR waiting. She left and I stayed, and was told that he would give me shellac. NO mention of price difference. After the manicure and pedicure, I went to the cash register and was charged without being informed of the total amount. THEN I was charged $50 instead of the $35 and was told "I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you of the price difference". Absolutely unacceptable. I have never felt so taken advantage of. I am SO angry! I got a full set of acrylic nails done and in less than a week and a half 4 of them have come off! This is ridiculous! I've been going to this salon for years and I WILL NOT ever go there again. It would be different if I was hard on my nails but they should not come off if I am just scratching my leg! Read Less

Worst fill I have ever had. She cut me on 4 fingers with her filing tool. She didn't round the tips good either so they look like crap. They charged my daughter $10.00 to remove her nails when she had to get 5 of them off herself cuz the chick couldn't do it. She was initially going to have her nails filled but when the girl was taking off the polish one popped off cuz she was so rough. $30.00 for a shellac fill was a complete rip-off. I have gone to this salon since they opened.  They used to be amazing! Now when you walk in and sit down you're not offered a drink. Or service. After sitting there in the massage chairs for about half an hour someone filled out water tubs and walked away. Two of us had freezing water. Had to wait for another 20 minutes for the lady to fix the water after asking repeatedly. Older woman did my pedicure and did such a bad job that my 8year old niece should have been paid to slop polish all over my nails, cuticles and skin. She started my manicure and cut my nails far too short and crooked. Another lady tried to fix it and did the shellack on my nails. She did ok but the shellack peeled off within a couple days. I paid for myself, my mother in law and niece to all get this done. First I was told it would be $45 per person. When checking out it all of a sudden shot up to $60 per person. Ended up paying $180 plus tip (shouldn't have) for crap work on all of us. Won't be back. Ever. Read Less

I got a no-chip manicure and it was awful.  She painted all over my cuticles and then tried to wipe them off with her own fingernails but scraped the polish off the base of my nails instead.  I wish I could attach a picture.  I had them redone at another salon less than a week later. Read Less
