After giving this nail salon more than enough chances, I will not ever return. My experience was the worst. Nail technician watched tv as he was cutting my cuticles during pedicure. For manicure, table was dirty with nail clippings. Did not try to wipe. Just put towel over and all clippings and nail dust landed on me. If there was a way to leave 0 stars, I would.  I have been to this nail salon a couple of times and have never had a good experience.  If you are looking for a place to have a relaxing pedicure, this is NOT your place.  When the nail tech wants you to move your leg/foot, they will give you a good smack on the calf.  The reason that I finally decided to write this review is because of the incident that I had the other night.  I went to get a pedicure and when it came time for the nail tech to use the rectangular buffer, she used a coarse nail file instead and took layers of my toenail off, so much so, that she had to use repair glue and powder to fix it.  Again, she used a coarse nail file on top of my toe nail!  When I stopped her and became upset, she told me that she didn't do anything wrong!  Layers of my toenail were gone! She then began to talk about me to the tech next to her who proceeded to give me a dirty look followed by huge sighs from both of them.  I very rarely review but I want to save some other woman or heaven forbid, child from losing their nail like I did.  I will never set foot in this establishment again. I went in today for a mani/pedi and my cuticle was cut on my big toe, left foot. I immediately alerted the nail tech who kept working on my foot. I yelled "ouch" and pointed out the blood and told her I believe you cut my cuticle. She then said she could fix it and grabbed an "unmarked" bottle and squeezed some liquid on it.  She then kept shaping my nails and asked me to put my foot back on the tub. I again pointed out that it was cut and that putting it back into the water was a bad idea.  I decided to end the service, put my shoes and on and went up front. I told the manager what happened and stated I would pay for whatever service she performed up to that point. I paid $20 and left.  A friend who is a nurse has suggested due to the pain I should go to emergency to ensure there is no infection.I will never return and if I could, I would make fliers and post them so no other women will experience what happened to me. Loved my visit to AJ's! I came with my mom, sister-in-law, and another girlfriend. We all got deluxe pedicures and they sat us together and talked to us by our names. It was so fun! The salon is clean and has a luxurious feel to it. TONS of color choices! Highly recommend this nail salon, and will for sure return. Read Less

Reading these reviews had me laughing because honestly I thought it was just me. I walked in and the lady behind the desk just looked at me and I started asking can I get my eyebrows waxed. She just looked at me like I was saying something wrong. Now the lady that did my eyebrows was great her name is Heidi but she only works there two days a week. She gave me her number because she is not sure how long she would be there. They really need to work on their customer service. It is not personable or warm. I have one person I like but her smock is always filthy. The manager/owner I don't think provides them with clean s mocks. I have had to ask for clean towels. AJ nails is an upscale walk-in nail salon. Best for convenience not necessarily a pampering experience. Due to their location they are rather busy and hence there is generally a 15-30 minute wait. I've had hit or miss nail techs. Some are cordial but others have been impatient and rude. That being said, the price point, convenience and location bring me back on a regular bases. Read Less

Huge selection of gel nail polish, otherwise I wouldn't recommend going. The nail tech never asked how I wanted my nails shaped and she filed them all differently, some of my nails are crooked. My sister got a full set of acrylic nails and they are chunky and poorly shaped. In all, over priced for the service and generally poor quality. Read Less

The salon is lovely and everyone has always treated me courteously. I love the massage chairs for pedicures. I now don't like to get a pedicure without it. They've always been very accommodating if I'm in a hurry by doing both my manicure and pedicure at the same time. Tried this out because I had a gift certificate. I asked if now was a good time. They told me there would be a ten minute wait. I waited for 30 minutes patiently. When I checked in they said 5 more minutes. 10 minutes later, still nothing. "5 more minutes." Nothing. 10 minutes later. Nothing. Never coming here again. The lady at the front desk is probably the rudest person I have ever come across. She copped such a nasty attitude with me on the phone before I ever arrived when I only asked if I could make an appointment for my eyebrows (and they won't take appointments for waxing). If I could rate lower than one star I would. I have come to this location a handful of times and have been upset quite a few of them, but my last visit was by far the worst experience. I asked for a polish change on my toes and my tech did it in 4 minutes and forgot to put my sandals on before, so she did after and smudged my nails then proceeded to unprofessionally swear twice. I asked her to fix it because it was bulging and she tried to convince me it looked funny because of my color selection. When I complained again, she fixed it by just adding more and more polish. This was by far my worst nail experience out of any salon I have been to. However, on a positive note, I have been to their 9 and Mack location countless times and have been pleased every time.
