When I wasn't satisfied with the shellac, and asked for it to be taken off, two of the technicians carried on in their native language, I'm sure about my dissatisfaction. They still charged me $5 for leaving with naked nails. Very diappointed!

I've been going here for awhile to give it a fair shot but unfortunately, I've decided to look elsewhere for nail service. My biggest issues are:
1.) The quality of experience varies so greatly. I've had shellac done that looked really nice and lasted the full two weeks - but I've also had shellac done that was rushed, full of air bubbles, and chipped in a few days. I also had an instance where the technician picked at my cuticles so aggressively, they actually gouged a little chunk out of my finger. Yikes!
2.) Pedicure quality also varies - I've had super relaxing, enjoyable pedicures but I've also had pedicures where I left with scratches all up and down my legs from the scrub that was used. Ouch is an understatement.
and 3.) My most recent issue, and the one that sealed the deal, was when I tried out dip powder nails as the suggestion of one of the nail technicians. Everything was just fine up until I came back to have them re-done - the technician took what looked like part of an acrylic nail, wedged it under the dip powder, and began PRYING the old dip powder off. My nail beds were destroyed (still growing the damage out as I type this). I went to a different nail salon and they were horrified when I explained what had ruined my nails (if you're curious, the correct way to remove dip powder is to file it down and soak it off).
I'm sad to be leaving such a negative review, as I see so many others having great experiences here - but with the aforementioned issues, I just can't bring myself to ever go back.

My Nanny went to Best Nails to get her nails done before she goes away. It was such a horrible experience. Her manicure wasn’t done anywhere close to her cuticle, she asked for a rounded square shape and they gave her an awful square shape. The gel they used is like, blobbed on her nails, it looks so thick as if it wasn’t filed down at all. Honestly her pedicure looks so cheap. She also got a pedicure. Awful. They cut her toe nails so short, she asked for a trim and as a result they are way too short for her. As well as a horrible paint job, the sides on her toenails aren’t even painted. Her friend she went with isn’t satisfied at all. $80 later and a horrible experience. Will not come back, or recommend.

I'm almost reluctant to write this as I don't want people to know about this hidden gem but also feel bad about that one lonely, bad review on this page. The people at Vip are great! They always do a very thorough job of getting my nails looking beautiful. Pricing is reasonable compared to other salons around town. They have a good selection of polish colors to choose from in regular and no-chip. They recently upgraded all of their chairs, pedicure and manicure, so now it's even nicer. And the best part is I am easily able to walk in without an appointment and get service. I think the longest I have ever waited was 20 minutes.

Every customer is greeted by name (unless it's your first time, and in that case, the next time you go in, they'll know you!) and treated like family. Might be more expensive than other shops but remember, you get what you pay for!

Shady pricing and watch out for Penny. She will slice your cuticles to bits. That being said my pedicure did last a long time. So proceed at your own risk.
