First, Mo was the technician that did my nails. She was great! We chatted and laughed the entire time. Tina, the tech next to us also joined in the conversation, much like being with friends. My first impression upon arriving, I had the thought of turning around and walking out. My daughter and I were greeted for our scheduled appointment and asked to have a seat on the couch. At that time I observed the receptionist check out three clients. Twice she had to hollar back to the technician what they did for the person and how much it was. She should have gotten up and walked to the tech to ask. The clients did not clearly understand the fees. I feel that should be clarified before getting started. This receptionist just did not give a professional touch to this business. It was messy throughout the salon. Cups, drink cans/bottles half consumed all over. Tables were very dusty along with the floors. I will try them again because of the great service we had from Jake and Mo, but with a bit of positive, professional management this place could be top notch! Read Less

Went there twice, got the dip powder twice. The first time, the dip powder only lasted two weeks, when the owner expected them to last a month. The second time they only lasted a week. So I'm convinced that they just use a low quality dip powder. Not to mention they're unprofessional. Both times I was there the owner was talking badly about other customers to me. Saying how he "hope they never come back". Also both times he tried to change my mind into getting a full acrylic set. One of the worst nail salons I've gone to. Nail tech was not professional and complained about doing squared nails. If I'm paying you to do my nails your opinion of the shape is of no importance to me unless asked. You're providing a service, if it's not something you're willing to do then refer me to someone else. He also did a poor job on my nails as well as the shellac. I have been going every 2 weeks since May 2017 to get my nails done. Bliss is still amazing. The techs are knowledgeable and friendly. The dip polish is amazing if you’re hard on your nails like I am. It’s not at all stuffy like some salons can be. While the entire crew is awesome, Ben is my go to nail guy. Read Less

I’m giving Bliss 1 star because first impressions matter. I wanted to get a fill-in after work on Friday. I was pretty sure I’d have to wait as a walk-in. When I entered the salon the receptionist was too busy texting on her cell phone to acknowledge that I was standing right in front of her for almost a minute and a half. I said hello first. When she did look up she said “yeah, what can I help you with?” I asked how long it was going to be for a fill and she said “I don’t know like an hour at least.” So I asked if it was possible to put my name on a list or set up and appointment to come back later. She said, “no we don’t do that. You can’t just walk in and then leave while everyone else waits.” I had no intention of cutting in front of anyone waiting, I just know there’s other things I could’ve done and then come back in an hour. When I asked why they advertise as being able to make appointments but I couldn’t set one up for later she rolled her eyes and said “because like I told you it wouldn’t be fair for you to leave and come back while everyone else waits.” I immediately left. I realize that maybe being a receptionist at a nail salon is not her dream job or her life goal, but she is the first person people see and speak to when they walk in. And I don’t think any employer who works in a service industry would want to have someone who’s their first point of contact with customers to roll their eyes or ignore a customer standing right in front of them. Very unprofessional staff. My wife had an appointment for 5:30 to have her nails fixed (which by the way was because of a poorly done job by one of the workers). She arrived only a couple minutes late (due to traffic) and the person she was scheduled with (Ben) was already doing someone else's nails. I guess making an appointment was useless. No one acknowledged her when she got there in fact they all look annoyed another customer arrived. She sat there for 15 minutes and no one said a thing. It's also kind of annoying that the manager is always too busy chatting with the women clients rather than focus on his work or any other waiting customer. I'll admit out of the 8 times we've been there we have had 3 good experiences. So I'll give them that. But we will definitely take our business else where. Having been going to Glamour since it opened ,and perfect nails before that ,so probably about 18years would never go anywhere else ,and still have 10 perfect nails off my own , so think that speaks for its self,i get my nails done every 2-3 weeks ,faithfully. Beautiful nails as always. I was extra pleased today. Due to the time of year it was extra busy & the wait for arcrylics was hours. After my cancer op i have an open airway to my lungs. You are not meant to leave or you loose your place in the queue. The chemicals were affecting my breathing, without me having to explain this ( it was obvious i was struggling) i was allowed to go get coffee & fresh air & return when i felt well enough. On my return i was offered shellac as the queue was smaller & the treatment quicker. After 12 months battling to live, all i wanted was nice nails for xmas. Glamour is the only place I would go to get my nails done and I have done so for the last 4/5 years. I always receive comments on how amazing my nails are and recommend them at every opportunity! I work on computers and also in the bar industry and they do not budge until my monthly appointment which is exactly what I love, complete value for money if you ask me!... I have seen a lot of negative reviews today regarding cost and waiting time, I would just like to say that yes a full set of stiletto nails with glitter/jewels ect is £40 but the girls always explain at the start what the £25 sets are, £30 and so on so if you want everything apart from the kitchen sink included then you pay for what you get! Would never ever go back here. For a start, I was made to wait about an hour whilst customers who had came in after me were taken before me. When I asked why, they were hugely aggressive. When I finally did get seen, I showed the nail artist a picture of my design. She said she could do this then filed down my previous acrylics, only to tell me she actually could not give me the chosen design. Obviously fuming, I settled for a simple design with glitter on two of the nails. I got charged £40 for a set of infills with a design I did not want but couldn't leave the shop without as my previous acrylics were now ruined. Not to mention the skin around my nails was cut and bleeding on several fingers. Omg im absolutely out raged that my 15 year old daughter... who called the shop thay day was told her nails would cost 25 pounds no mention of any extra cost or add on's my daughter got plain nails with couple of glittery fingers once they're nails where finished all three girls got charged 40 pound each ... the poor girls then had no money for their lunch and had to walk home from clydebank to drumchapel .... i will be taking this further that one bad review day light robery to four 15 year old girls shame on yous people should stay clear .... I was excited to go here because of the reviews and the student discount! So I got the dip done. Wasn't too please with how they turned out... but I wasn't going to be negative... day later, we've got a fatality folks... two days later, another one bites the dust. This place is wonderful!  It's pretty and clean, and they have like a thousand polish options, including this organic dipping powder that lasts longer than shellac - I can't wait to try it.  When we arrived for our 10 am appointments, everything was ready and waiting for us.  You get to sit in really nice massage chairs with individual remote controls during the pedicure. For manicures, I would highly recommend JAKE! He gave me a shellac French manicure. There's no hand massage or exfoliating or anything, strictly polish. But I've never had such perfect looking nails in my life. Usually when I get my nails done, there's an uneven spot or an imperfect edge that I can't help fixating on. But this time, I'm just staring at my hands in amazement that they're really mine! I've never seen my nails shaped so nicely. Plus the shellac was done in the same amount of time it took for my friends to get regular polish, didn't need any dry time, and they remove it for free. Read Less

Full set with shellac done by Shawn. I was looking for a new nail salon after getting a botched shellac from a different place which resulted in practically all my nails breaking. So, I came across Bliss on Facebook (which had great reviews) then looked them up on here (which had equally great reviews). I went in on a Friday morning. The salon is pretty spacious and clean. Stations are neat. Nice sitting area while you wait. I was instantly greeted with smiles and willingness to help me figure out what I wanted to do with my nails. I can't quite remember the young mans name so I'm going to call him Chat for short. He took off my shellac, and was so nice. I haven't had a full set of nails since high school so I was a little hesitant of the outcome, BUT Shawn came in and hooked me up! He did a great job and my nails looks amazing. Very professional, both guys were funny and great conversations, which is a plus because is makes the time go by faster. They have plenty of colors and the latest polish like mood changing colors.
