This is the best nail salon I’ve been to all over GR. All of the staff is very friendly and you can tell that they are treated well because the same people have been working there for years. The prices are not cheap, but shellac is guaranteed for 2 weeks, often lasting well beyond that. The variety of pedicure options is great and include top-notch services. The tools for manicures and pedicures are always cleaned and presented in sealed bags and pedi basins are cleaned right away after each customer. I have been here before and it was fine so I thought about trying again! I would of never given them a one star review the first time I liked it but this second time.. I will not go back I got a pedi and mani about a week ago... and I'm a licensed cosmetologist... I know what you should and shouldn't do. the lady I had, I will not say names but used her nippers and clipped living skin on the mani... so everyday I have to use cuticle oil now cause my fingers have hangnails everywhere.. and my feet are what is really bothering me. I hardly got a massage it was horrible... & I get dry feet from standing all day anyways from cutting hair but after I left It was worse than when I got there. They were all cracked and now they are peeling and because they are peeling my feet kill! I will not go back sorry but I have been trying to tend to my feet like crazy now to heal them. And no matter how many good times there has been this one bad time ruined it... the picture below is after putting cnd oil on it and hemp lotion and they still look disgusting.... Read Less

This is my new favorite nail place!!!! The staff was so friendly and personable. Annie did a great job on my pedicure and really took her time making sure it was perfect. The pedicure even had hot stones and whatever scrub they used smelled amazing! Ben did my manicure and he is just awesome! Annie and her team offer fantastic customer service, at all times. They really do put you first, always a warm welcome and they make sure you are as comfortable as can be at all times. My friends and I happily drove 45 minutes just to go to JV Nails &Spa. I couldn't believe that the service here is so great. The staff gave me a magazine while they being completing my fingernail. My friend and I stopped here on vacation, and it was great! Being a man, I got a manicure without any polish. She got a shellac manicure with these super fun sprinkle-looking things. It took a while to do her nails, but they look great.The employees are friendly and fun, and they have free soft drinks. JV Nails &Spa is amazing! They do great work, and the atmosphere is unlike anything I have ever experienced in a nail salon. The techs are all very friendly and in high spirits. It is pretty awesome that you can enjoy free water while getting your nails done. This place is very nice place with pleasant staff. my technicians is awesome and very helpful. I went in with group and even though we had to wait for awhile, they were able to accommodate us and seat us all so that we could still talk to each other. After moving to the area a couple years ago I tried many nail salons only to be disappointed with one thing or another. After finding JV - I haven't been anywhere else since. They have great customer service, a great atmosphere and a clean environment. I am a customer of JV nails for over two years. In fact I was a customer with the previous owner for years. With the current owners they never try to remember my name.  Yet when other regular customers come into and leave the spa. The owner always says goodbye calls them by name and says love you long time.  I know they know my name.  They ask me about my travels being that I'm a Flight Attendant (my name is Liz BTW) and my husband a Pilot and I spend $35 to $70 dollars a visit. I live close by so its is convenient for me to use this spa. However, recently I have had terrible service.  During December my daughter was visiting from California I thought lets get pedicures together.  I brought her to JV nails and they said there was a wait.  Which is fine.  They said 20 minutes.  55 minutes later they did our pedicures.  On my next visit they told me it would be an 1:45 minute wait.  Ugh.  I went to another spa.  Then on a recent visit a new person did my nails the polish was a baked on shellac.  It started to peel off 4 four days later.  I could not get back into their shop because I was off flying.  So embarrassing to have a bad manicure in public.  Especially when your hands are what people look at in my line of work.  After I got back from my trip I went into the spa 3 times in two days to mention it and to have my usual manicure pedicure and they said there was a wait. Fine I just came back two more times and they said there was a wait being Saturday afternoon and they are closed on Sundays until March I new I would have to wait.  They said 30 minutes.  I waited 55 minutes and they still showed no sign of doing my nails since they had many customers waiting.  I am done with this spa. JV spa needs more employees!  The owner Ben tells lame jokes and constantly complains that he is poor. Yet they are always busy. The polish on the shelf is old and they water it down with alcohol went its half empty.  They have 9 manicure chairs (you can count them the chairs are numbered above) but only use about 4. They have 10 manicure tables and only use about 6.  They have the tables and chairs but not enough employees.  Whenever I ask the owner a serious question I never get a straight answer.  Only jokes a reply to me.  Goodbye Jv I hope you can get it together to treat your customers with respect. Real friendly place, and clean. Front and back doors were open creating a nice, fresh atmosphere. I liked that there was no tv.  I was greeted with a smile immediately by the owner, told to pick a color, and offered a beverage of water or sodas from a cooler.  15 mins I was seated in a very clean, new looking awesome massage chair.  Every button worked.  Another 15 minutes and the water was in the tub for my pedicure.  I was asked if the water temp was ok and it was adjusted to perfection.  A dialog started between the clients on both sides of me and the Kim H (owner) who was working on a pedicure next to me.  Sara, who did my pedicure, had very minimal English but a kind smile.  She asked for interpretation from Kim if needed. She did a great job protecting my crossover toes.  I chose the chocolate cappuccino hot rocks pedicure out of a choice of 3 or 4..  I'd do it again as my allergies don't tolerate floral fragrances.  And I'll bring one to drink with me as the smell had me craving one.While Sara worked on me Kim explained the shellac process. It was an hr before closing so she was going to have my manicure start while Sara worked on my feet. I had to pick another color to match my OPI for my pedicure as shellac is a different brand.  they have the best selection of colors I have ever seen. . Only two stones were heated which is the least I've ever had.  I had 3 steamed towels which I particularly enjoyed along with the scrub on my feet.  Sara did a great job massaging my feet and legs however it was not as long as others I have had. She also did not work as hard on my callouses on the bottom of my feet. I liked that while working on one leg the other was resting with a hot stone under it.  And I liked how she came up and said goodbye as I was getting my nails done.My shellac fingernails were started by a young man with no name tag while Sara worked on my feet.  It was a bit awkward turning in the chair. He had a pretty fair use of the English language.   I complimented his work and asked how long he had been there and he said it was his second day.  then he said he lied and he'd been there a year. I praised his English and asked if he was born here.  He said no so I asked his nationality to which he said he didn't know.  So I asked where his parents were born and learned he was Vietnamese.  I stopped inquiring about him.  His humor was hard to read and never smiled but did a great job on my nails.  I wouldn't want him again.It was a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere and my nails look great.  I just wish she would've scrubbed more on the soles of my feet.  I think I'll go back and just ask for that and see what happens. I came here for a pedicure the other day. It was a Wednesday and the place was pretty busy, but I had called ahead and was able to get in the chair quickly. I got to work with Lee, who was very funny and did a nice job. There is an obvious camaraderie between the staff members and it's pretty upbeat. The salon itself was very clean.  They also have tons of colors to chose from both in regular polish and UV cured polish. I chose the wild orchid pedicure which included a hot stone massage and all for $35. I'm obsessed with the smell of the lotion they used which I am pretty sure is just the Industry Source's version of bath and body works enchanted orchid scent.... regardless I need to get some. For my taste, Lee didn't remove enough dead skin on my feet and my nails aren't evenly cut (on side is much longer than the other) which is why I docked 1 star. I'm still debating whether or not I will be back for a manicure. Will update if I do. :) Read Less

I wish everyone knew about this place. I have only done pedicures but they have always been amazing. You need to pay the extra $5 (for a $30 total) for hot stone massage, salt scrub and leg massage.
