Salon was very very dirty. Nail technician cut me and made me bleed both times I was there and did not clean the instruments! I got a gel manicure and it was full of bubbles, when I went to get the nails removed they pried them off! It was the worst salon experience I've ever had. Read Less

I had made an appointment for 3pm they didn't start until 3:20 all I wanted was a fill and color it took an hour and a half. At one point there was two people behind the desk looking at my nails and speaking another language that went on for about 20 minutes. I have no idea what they were saying I felt very uncomfortable. The lady that was filling my nails nicked every nail with her dill it was painful. But I guess beauty here is painful because my nails turned out decent it just took a long time. Read Less

I travel quite frequently on business and while in Frankenmuth recently I really needed my nails done. After reading the reviews I chose Star Nails and had one of the very best gel manicure I have ever had anywhere. All three techs are excellent & there prices are a real bargain! Read Less

I have gone to Star Nails twice now when I have been in the Frankenmuth area. I have never had good luck with shellac anywhere but they talked me into it the first time and I had great results. It never chipped and I went back in 3 weeks later to have it done again. I live 1.5 hours away from Frankenmuth. The last 2 times I have gotten my nails done was at a different place closer to home. Neither of them lasted over a week! I WILL NOT GO ANYWHERE BESIDES HERE! This place is very clean and their staff is friendly. They know what they are doing! Read Less

Not the greatest experience. Caveat:  We were a walk in on a busy holiday weekend, so this might be why the experience was not the best. Arrived at 10:15 am on a Friday. We're told the wait would be 10 min. There were two of us who wanted a mani/pedi. My mom was seated and started within 30 min. I waited an hour. My mom was done before I started. They rushed through us both skipping things that they would normally have done like lotion, cuticle cutting and massage. My nails were all chipped by the same evening. My mothers were even worse, so she want back the next day to have them fixed. By the following day they had all chipped off again and she redid them herself. They tried to suggest gels instead, but that is not what we had wanted. Knowing that gels do last longer, we, at minimum expected a couple of days before the standard polish would chip...but it was hours before it did. I even had to ask twice for a second coat before the top coat of polish when I had mine done. Though I might try hem again on a less busy day, and make sure to make an appointment, I do not have high hopes. Read Less

With it being the only reasonable nail place in town, you can't beat it. The workers there are very friendly and know what they are doing and they are quite good at it. I've never left there disappointed.My only complaint would be that sometimes they don't listen or maybe they don't understand, or maybe its on purpose, I'm not sure. But twice now, I've went in to get just shellac white tips done, and walked out with acrylic white tipped nails. It made my bill higher. Granted, the nails looked fantastic and I was happy with the outcome, but it wasn't what I asked for. I got over it pretty quick, but just be on the lookout. Read Less

The nail techs here are very lovely and friendly. They always make sure they do their best to make sure their customers nails/toes are looking beautiful. If sometimes customers don't like how their nails look, they can always come back and star nails techs will be glad to help them fix it. Customer satisfaction is the number #1 priority. Read Less

The employees are super nice... but the quality of service was very poor.I enjoyed talking to the employees during my services.  After leaving though, I noticed my toes were chipping quickly and my acrylic nails were done very shoddy. My cuticles were not taken care of, so when my nails grew out, the part closest to the cuticle were jagged and blunt.Also, services were added without my consent, causing the bill to be higher. Now I'm stuck with gel nails... so all my refills will be higher anywhere I go. I wanted acrylic.Sorry, but I can not recommend this nail salon. Read Less
