Tonight I needed a release from the doldrums of winter, and Rouge was there to the rescue! I scheduled a facial with Victoria (which was super easy to do online!) last week, and tonight experienced an amazing hour of personalized treatments! Victoria took the time to talk to me and understand what I hoped to take away from the facial, and went above and beyond to give my face an amazing glow. Along with the service itself, all of the women at Rouge are sweet, personable, and make you feel like you've just walked in to your best friend's home a girl's night. I went to Myranda for eyebrow threading, and she did an amazing job!  The cost was $20, which is a little pricey for threading, but it was worth it. I recently moved across the state and am no longer near Ferndale. After much frustration with no success, I sent The Rouge ladies a message asking if they were able to give me any guidance on how to find a salon that doesn't have all the toxic fumes (aside from the fact that I'm pregnant, it's just not great to be around!). Cheryl replied within less than 24 hours, saying that she would personally search around my area for a place similar to Rouge! She got back to me as soon ...as she found someplace (after calling the salon herself), and told me to let her know how it was so she could put it on her list of recommendations when clients travel out of town. I am 100% blown away by their level of customer service- even to those who are no longer in the area! I was concerned there would be a conflict of interest, and she said (and proved) that it absolutely was not. As a client of Rouge, I highly recommend them for their attentiveness, atmosphere, and level of service. As someone who moved away, I recommend them even MORE now because of how they treat everyone who is looking for a similar Rouge experience. They have set the bar at the highest level in all respects! I visited last week for a Sauna appt and eyebrow threading. First, I would like to profusely apologize for mistaking the time allotted for the sauna experience. When I booked the express sauna appointment, my understanding was the time booked meant (only) in the sauna--this time actually represents your entire time spent in the sauna area itself. I have been coming to Myranda for threading for just shy of 1.5-2 years and I truly enjoy her doing my brows. However, my encounter last week with Cheryl (one of the owners) at the desk left a poor and lasting impression. I mulled over how to express this experience in a meaningful way, because the tone in which I was approached about the time spent in the sauna was quite embarrassing. Never would I intentionally expect an extended time or service free of charge. Perhaps I should have clarified with the attendant my total time spent, because she never ever reiterated that the 30 minute slot was for the entire experience. I even said to her when she checked in on me that I had 10 minutes left in the sauna, but she never mentioned otherwise. However, Cheryl reprimanded me at the pay counter in front of other clients stating that "You used 1 hour and 15 minutes, so next time you need to be sure to book an hour. We won't worry about it today, but next time will need to be an hour." Other clients were observing the interaction and it was in very poor taste. I even offered to pay for the extra time because the money was far from an issue. I understand business has grown and demand has changed, but the way in which each client's services are rendered matters. I'm not a child, nor am I just "someone" who comes for services...I am just as important and to be respected as the next. Perhaps approaching me in the back while with Myranda would've been better received. I really contemplated leaving an extensive review, but I thought I would act as a loyal client and give you the feedback first. I have not received a response to my email sent immediately after leaving the salon. I do hope that in the future, if I return, encounters are better. This was a great manicure experience! I've been looking for a place to get my nails done since the spa I went to stopped their nail services. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is upscale and relaxed. I'm especially grateful for the hot neck wrap they offered at the beginning of my manicure. The massage was also very good; just the right amount of pressure and it wasn't rushed! That combined with the heated wrap made me so relaxed I could have fallen asleep. My nails look great and the stress from work is gone! Oh, the prices are great too! I don't know anyone that wouldn't pay $25 to be pampered for an hour and have great nails. Definitely will be recommending Rouge to anyone that needs a reliable place to get their nails done. Just make sure to plan ahead because they book up quick, especially in the summer.Read Less

I am ruined forever for any other salon! I had the best pedicure of my life yesterday, courtesy of Jeny, and I'm afraid I'll never be able to go anywhere else again. I felt so pampered, I was made to feel so welcome and comfortable, not only by Jeny, but by the other great women who work at Rouge, who were doing pedis on either side of me, and by the clients--we were all so blissed out and relaxed that the chatting was easy and fun, and so very friendly. My husband booked me a "Deluxe Organic Facial" with Victoria as a Mother's Day gift and BROWNIE POINTS to him because it was AMAZING. Unfortunately, he mixed up the appointment time, causing me to arrive 30 minutes late and they were so understanding. Im kicking myself for not asking the girl at the fronts name, but she was stellar and sympathized for my situation (Men, AMIRIGHT?!)Anyway, the Salon itself is cohesively decorated with a relaxed retro feel. The attention to detail is obvious. You can tell they put a lot of love into this place. Victoria has the most soothing demeanor which added to the relaxing feel of the whole experience. She took the time to ask me about my skin concerns, problem areas etc. and also went over what products she would be using. She was knowledgeable and even though I was late made sure my facial was still relaxing and complete. All in all it was an awesome experience. Am a big fan of this local business, and come here whenever I want to treat myself (Treat yo'self!).  Rouge is a family run business, owned by sisters, who have definitely made this place feel like home. I come here for eyebrow threading with Myranda and have occasionally treated myself to their mani/pedis. This isn't one of those places that I can go on the regular to keep my nails looking fresh, but when I want to go somewhere that's relaxing and feels like a splurge, this is it. Read Less

Love the salon super cute and smells nice for a nail salon.  I came in for an express mani 25$ and a simple pedi 55$.  The Pedi was nice and relaxing good massage and she did a great job on my heels.  The pedi is worth the price however the mani is defiantly not.  25$ for no polish and my cuticles were not fully cut down, I pretty much paid to have my nails cut and filed which I am not happy with the shape they are all different shapes.  I would come back for a pedi but I could do my own mani at home if they will be like last time. I am in awe of this adorable shop. Some wonderful friends of mine purchased a gift certificate for me to replace the makeup I had lost in a fire. I went to see Cheryl for a consultation, full face, and some pretty colors to get my collection going again. She was so kind, knowledgable, and really took the time to make me feel special. I'm in love with all of the gorgeous colors I walked(wheeled)away with. My skin feels soft, lovely, and healthy for the first time since the fire. All around a fantastic place. It is very clean, you regularly see the ladies working here dipping their tools in cleaner, and washing all their materials. They have a very environmentally friendly belief that gives any customer the opportunity to feel positive about it. And this place is just run by the sweetest staff, whether your in a rush or feeling chatty, these ladies understand and always have funny stories if you have the time! I started going here almost 2 years ago for Myranda's eyebrow threading (no one compares, she is fantastic!) since then I have evolved into trying and falling in love with more and more of their services. I got my prom makeup done here, and it was beautiful. As someone with sensitive skin, I was worried about getting my makeup professionally done, that they would use too much and my face would react funny here at Rouge they use light organic makeup that gave me NO irritation at all! Even better than the day to day stuff I wear from MAC. I recently switched to using Rouge's sold Eve Organics foundation and love it, my skin has cleared up from it! I also use the face wash and night cream that Rouge sells by Eve and it's fantastic. Additionally my mom and I recently went to get manicures here at Rouge. They were fantastic. The experience is made to be exceptionally relaxing and calming, with more organic polish. The polish they use "Spiritual Gold" is comparable to a gel polish, without the UV light, and having to destroy your nails to get it off! It has lasted me over 2 weeks now and still looks fantastic.
