I went here because it’s right by my house... I wish I would have just taken the trip to diva nails in Livonia. I paid $65 for a shellac mani and pedi. THEY SUCK!! The lady kept telling me how my nails were too short but yet continued on, (and how are your nails too short for polish?) this was not even a week ago and the shellac is already peeling off my nails. Also it is not shiny at all but super dull and I can see brush strokes all over the place. I would call and make them redo but I do not want to ever set foot into this place again. This place is a hidden gem! To start, it's huge (which is surprising because it doesn't look big from the outside) and there are a ton of manicure and pedicure stations. They have a wide variety of polish, both shellac and regular. They did a great job and the pricing was comparable to other salons in the area.I left with a beautiful mani/pedi and my shellac manicure still looks great 2 weeks later. I'm not sure which brand of shellac I chose (I had never heard of it before) but I want to find out-- it has held up significantly better than most brands I've tried.The reason that I'm giving Queen Bee 4 stars is because my manicurist was kind of rough on my feet. I jumped a few times due to unexpected twinges of pain when she was exfoliating. The finished product was great so it wasn't the end of the world, but that part was a tiny bit unpleasant. Read Less

If you like slow service then this is the nail salon for you. The quality wasn't bad but if every time I walk in I wait for a 30-45 minutes or more then I have enough time find somewhere else to go that actually respects my time as a customer. I think with there being so many nail salons there is the impression that customers are a dime a dozen when in reality it's the other way around. i like this place a lot!  Have been mainly a pedicure client but also have had my eyebrows waxed and the service has been very good.  The staff is very attentive and cares about cleanliness which is key.  Bring cash for your tips because if you use debit or credit they will not give the tip to the manicurist.  Also - no matter how busy they are they tell you to come in as a walk-in and then you may have to wait - but its worth it!  Very reasonable priced. I work around the area and was in search for a place that could get me in and out. I came across this location, which had pretty good reviews. Luckily I was only 2.1 miles away and I could get there just in time before they closed at 7:30pm. I arrived at 7:08pm, (was looking for a close parking spot, or I could've walked in earlier lol) but I was hoping they would still see me. I was kindly greeted and asked what services I wanted to receive. I responded I was looking to receive a pedicure. She spoke to another employee, they began setting my seat up, and I was off to select a polish color. I think it was a nice selection of brand name polishes. They even had the color I was looking for, which I was unable to find at the previous salon I went to. I went to my seat and was greeted by Tony. Y'all - when I say this man took his time. I was nervous that since it was so close to closing he was going to rush. HE TOOK HIS TIME! I haven't had a pedicure this nice in a while. I wish the hot towel could've stayed on a little longer, but that's just me nitpicking. He gave me a great amount of coats and didn't leave the polish looking streaky or messy at all. The entire time, we watched Jeopardy together and was laughing at the participants and how close of a game it was. We were rooting for the same person (the underdog) and I felt like I was in good company. Finished up, carried my shoes over to the drying station and was a gentleman and pulled out my seat. It's not that it's a big deal, but it's the little things because some will just go and point, not escorting you over to make sure you don't slip or trip. Overall, I would definitely come back to this location if I wanted to get a pedicure after work. The atmosphere is very nice, clean, and for it to be in a strip plaza - the interior is decorated very nicely. I would definitely recommend this place to all if you are in the area! Thank you Tony! Unprofessional. I made an APPOINTMENT for 12pm on my lunch hour. Showed up 5mins early and then proceeded to wait for 35MINUTES to simply get my nails painted with shellac. Absolutely ridiculous that you make an appointment and it turns out to be absolutely useless. Don't go here unless you want to waste your time. Quality was extremely average as well... Cheap. If I could give it Zero stars I would. I called in the morning made 2 appointments  for manicure and pedicure for 3:30. The phone was answered " hello" I asked if it was the nail salon he says "yes". Should have know from the start how the day was going. But i have been here before a couple of times. They were busy when we got there and actually turned couple walk ins away to come back at later time  except for 1 regular (I assume) We were taken back 30 minutes later and they put at at the pedicure station and left to sit not even soaking for another 15 minutes  I should have left then. At 4:30 one of the techs went to went i assume was the regular, who came in after our appointment and wanted to start hers only to be told do mine because her regular tech would do hers.  The tech who was to do mine disappeared for another 10 minutes and I was told be one of the other techs he was out back smoking.  End of story. Done.  Would never leave  my money here.  Best of all they couldn't understand why I was leaving and began speaking non-English about what was happening. If your a regular your good if not good luck. This place is amazing! I got my first gel manicure with John just before Christmas and I'm hooked. I'm coming back for my third this week. My nails look amazing and the polish lasts and lasts. So far I haven't seen any damage to my nature nails. It's just so much fun not having to worry about chipped nail polish. House cleaning is now a little more fun too! Read Less

Only gave them a 4 star b/c the tech wasn't the friendliest.  Maybe he was having a bad day but he warmed up to me near the end once he realized I wasn't a snatch lol.  Anyway he was precise & knew exactly what he was doing.  & painted my nails perfectly!  Will go back someday soon.  Other than the attitude, they are 5 star.  Clean shop too! I had been going to another nail salon in the area and I finally had it with them so I decided to try Queen Bee. I'm really glad I did! It's in a strip plaza on the corner of Farmington and 12 Mile. It looks very unassuming from the outside but inside...awesome! Very clean, airy, and a few nice touches like chandeliers. I came in during the afternoon on a weekday. They were adequately staffed and I was able to get my mani/pedi the second I walked in, unlike waiting over an hour at the other place I had been going. The nail tech was thorough yet quick. She did an immaculate job on both my nails and toenails. They have a huge collection of Essie and OPI polishes. They had some other ones too. The best part is that the mani/pedi was only $35. Awful! I brought my daughters with me, after reading these great reviews, so that we could all get pedicures before our cruise. We picked our polish, as instructed and had a seat. My ENTIRE pedicure, she nagged me to add a manicure. I politely said no at least 4 times. She would not stop!! I finally relented and agreed to the manicure. I brought the polish I picked. Mint, white and gray. It matched most of what I was wearing on the cruise. She used NONE of those colors. I ended up with red, yellow, green and purple... Stuff. I don't even know what. I told her I didn't like it so she added sparkles. Yes! That was EXACTLY what I needed! The scrub she used on my calves left small scabs on my legs and was NOT relaxing, but that's okay because I couldn't relax over the nagging about adding a manicure. My oldest daughter at least got the color she chose, but she asked for a palm tree and the woman decided for her that a flower would be better. Then the top coat turn her polish white! (We were both NOT happy!) The youngest daughter got her colors used, and her design was SUPER COOL! (I wish I could tell you the name of the tech that did it) but THE NEXT DAY, it smudged off. The next day?!? I got just a top coat for the manicure I never wanted, much to her dismay. I have nails that don't grow, so she basically filed the ends of my fingers for 10 minutes.All said and done: $80 + tip. They won't let you put a tip on the card, so I had to have her break a $20. I specified it was for a tip and she brought back 2 $10. Ahhh, no. I sent her back with a $10 and asked for ones.. She came back with a $5 and 5 $1's. She got a dollar. The tech who did the oldest got a dollar and the tech who did the youngest got 3, because at least she listened. I was horrified and felt totally ripped off. I will NEVER go back. Read Less

Sometimes you are lucky enough to find a nail salon that is clean, reasonably priced and the techs care about their clients. THIS IS IT.  John makes my nails look absolutely beautiful with a gel manicure and it lasts up to three weeks. Jenny is meticulous about cleaning the basin before my pedicure which I really appreciate.  She always recommends cute colors and makes my toes look special. I can't recommend John and Jenny enough. I really love this place. I typically get a shellac/gel manicure and a pedi. Sometimes I'll get an eyebrow wax as well. Services are consistently great. I honestly feel like my gel manis from Queen Bee last longer than other nail salons. Pedicure bowls are always clean and the staff spends a good amount of time scrubbing, polishing and massaging your feet, which I appreciate in a good pedi. The staff are all meticulous and skilled at what they do.Queen Bee is also nicely decorated and very clean. The experience is so much nicer than that of many salons. Ive been coming here since Queen Bee opened and it's the only place I'll get my nails done at home now! It's extremely clean and well kept inside, the pedicure chairs are new and nice and they have a wide range of colors to pick from which is awesome! I haven't had a bad experience here yet, the closest I've had to one was last week when a nail tech (who I believe is new) put on my set of acrylics for me and a few of the nails started to lift after 3 days which for any acrylic wearer, is unusual. I went in today to see if they could fix it and the owner, John, cleaned up my nails for free. He reshaped them, buffed the thick acrylic down and fixed my lifting nails. They look amazing now-- just as they usually do from Queen Bee! Their prices are good, not super expensive at all, and they do an immaculate job. I couldn't recommend this place more! Read Less

Asked for shellac manicure and a soak off because I had an acrylic overly on. She didn't start to soak me, instead she tried to lift and peel the acrylic off of my nail, cutting my natural nail in the process. I had to tell her to let me soak and she did, while still trying to peel the acrylic from my nail. Once the acrylic on my left hand was gone, she started cutting my cuticles without soaking them in water or putting cuticle cream on them, and she didn't push them back. She then proceeded to out the base coat of shellac on my left hand without even shaping my nails. I stopped her, reluctantly paid for the soak off once my right hand was finished and left. She had noises what she was doing and caused me much pain. I should have gone to my regular nail shop but I was in the area and wanted them done right away. I will NEVER go back here again. Read Less
