I love this place! By far the best place I've ever gotten my nails done. They are typically busy so make sure you plan to wait a little bit before one of the nail techs can get to you! They have a huge range of nail colors and can do shellac, gel or regular manicures for unbeatable prices. I showed up for a mani-pedi 2 weeks ago. Did not have an appointment so I waited - not a big deal. The technician who did my nails was nice but did not seem to put in a lot of effort into the work. The pedi was ok. She didn't pumice my heels as much as I would have liked but whatever. The two major problems I had were with the mani and the cleanliness of the store. The mani took about 8 minutes tops. She barely cut my cuticles, no lotion on the hand/arms, and no hot towel. Not sure what was going on. Also, she threw away the paper towel on the station right before painting so there was nothing between me and the table. Unfortunately, the table still had fake nails scattered around and cut nails from previous customers. Ew - gross! The technician made no effort to wipe the station down, replace the paper towel, or apologize for the dirty station. She just quickly painted my nails and hurried me over to the drying station. While at the drying station, I noticed just how dirty the place was. The window edges and front desk were disgusting with dust and dead bugs. Now, I understand keeping a place clean daily is tough but this looked like it hadn't been cleaned in several days, if not weeks. Again, ew. Read Less

I made an appointment and walked in to the shop couple minutes early. But I still waited for another 45 minutes watching two other people who did not have appointment sat down before me. After they guide me to sit on the chair, I waited for another 20 minutes to the point that the water became cold before I really get my service. This is the best nail salon ever!!! It is very clean and fresh, unlike others I've gone too. Tracey, the owner, does my nails and she is awesome! She is never in a hurry and just does a great job with the shellac polish. They also have a lot of colors to pick from too. Tracey is super friendly and fun to chat with during a manicure. My polish typically lasts  nearly 3 weeks, and they need to be redone then because of my nails getting to long. I highly recommend this salon. I think if I could give this a half star or even no stars I probably would! I went to this salon for the first time a few weeks ago for a dipping powder manicure, which they advertise here on their page. When I got there the girl came up to the front desk even though I was clearly inconveniencing her while she was on her phone. When I explained to her what I wanted she was pretty much clueless and one of the other ladies getting her nails done had to tell them what I wanted......it was so strange. I thought I had communicated it effectively but maybe not. I then asked for a color that was light, essentially between a pink and a white. The owner or manager came up to assist us in this process. She picked out a color and I asked her if it would dry lighter than the bright pink that it looked in the container. She assured me it would so I took her word for it. She then took me back to start the whole process. During which I had to question her method a couple of times. This was not the first time I had had this process done so I was familiar with it and she wasn't doing it like every other place. It was literally the fastest manicure I had ever had. Even one of the other ladies had a look on her face, she knew something wasn't right. Then the color ended up drying lighter alright! So light that it was basically clear! I then went to pay for the worlds fastest manicure only to be told that I can't add a tip on to my credit card charge. Well unfortunately right before that I had just spent what cash I had left on me. I guess it was par for the course anyhow. Fast forward to 4 days later when the "polish" is already lifting! Every other time this stuff has lasted on my nails for well over 3-4 weeks! And I hadn't done anything differently than any other time. In hindsight I probably should have just spoken up at the time but I was so over all of it and just wanted to get out of there. I went for a pedicure a year ago and whatever chemicals they used on my feet caused a major reaction. The bottom of my feet started bleeding in the wash bowl. I complained to my classmates about it but never told them the location of this place. A year later, yesterday, my classmate called me and reminded me of the horrific event, which happened to her. If no stars were an option I would choose that! Absolutely the most rushed and worst pedicure I've ever had, the chair was broke and I had to sit uncomfortable during the pedicure. Then I was seated with another lady for my acrylic full set. ( the first station by the sinks, the one with the horrible drawn on eye brows) At first she was friendly, I had a picture of the way I would like my nails shaped and the design I wanted, I showed and she said she could do it. I also told her that my nails were sore and to be careful and asked if she could file as little as she could. She, just nodded. She was rough when she filed and when I would pull away because it hurt, he rolled her eyes and pulled my hands back, never said sorry. As she put acrylic on she used very little and it started to curl at the end. I was thinking that she would add more acrylic but she didnt and just went on to "shape" them. I looked over the first hand, while she started filing the other and thought to myself they look funny, I politely told her that I didnt really like the shape, she started speaking in Vietnamese, then dropped my hand and said "too late now", I was like I dont like them and that they were no where near the picture I had showed her, she started yelling at me and telling me they were! I once again said I didnt like them and if there was some way she could fix them, I told her what I didnt like about them and she said no, there was nothing that she could do. I told her that I wasnt happy and I wasnt going to pay, she tried to grab my hand and tell me that she was almost done and I would be paying. She was no where close to being done and argued that she was calling the cops, I told her go ahead, she had not finished my nails and I was not happy with the way she was doing them and I refused to pay, she got up and started to yell at me and said "never bring you face back gin". A younger girl asked if I would come back the next day to have them fixed by the owner, the reason I didnt wait for him was because I was leaving for a trip and he was not available. I referred a lot of my friends there and will not refer anybody else and for sure will not go back. I had to find a salon who would fix the nails at a short notice. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, THAT OLD DRAWN ON EYE BROW BIA SHOULD BE FIRED! I SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE COPS ON HER FOR YANKING MY HAND, AND BURNING MY CUTICLES! I went to this salon for nearly a year. I get acrylic, fills, gel polish and an occasional pedicure. In my times there I ALWAYS made an appointment, I saw two people Tracey and a man who's name I do not know. My nails always looked good. My most recent visit proved different. It was a younger girl who I never seen before, started my fill first with drilling my gel polish off, I could tell she was knew and she didn't seem comfortable using the drill and was moving really slow. She began filling my nails with the SMALLEST amount of acrylic on the brush, once she finished and used the drill again to smooth everything out (like normal) and literally filed all of the acrylic back off that she had just used to "fill" my nails and she was burning me in the process as she was down to my natural nail. I told her I wasn't happy with the job she did and I pulled my hand away, she grabbed my hand and yanked it back towards her. I requested that someone else finish my nails and I was told no, that nobody had any time and that I would need to come back 2 hours later on a Saturday! I felt that if you are going to have people working in a busy salon with long term customers that they should most definitely should know what they are doing and if I have an appointment and my nails are not done the right way that I shouldn't have been asked to come back hours later. I went to creative nail spa today to get a full set of acrylics. Tracy is the woman who worked on my nails for me and she was very pleasant and polite. I got my nails a bit longer and in the coffin shape. Tracy was very accommodating and worked hard to make sure I was happy with the shape. There was a decent color selection and the space was well lit and clean. Their pricing was $25 for a full set however I was charged $30. I believe this is because I had extra polish removed and my nails trimmed down (not to mention the coffin shape was difficult to perfect). I recommend making an appt because they seemed busy as the day went on. Read Less

Went and got a shellac manicure after work last night before a trip I am going on. I read the good reviews here so thought it would be a good place to try. However, you get what you pay for. It's $25 for a shellac manicure (they use OPI Gel, not CND which I was hoping for) and the place was clean. When she did my manicure she did not get the entire nail, so you can still see the sides of my nails on ALL of my nails! She didn't even try to get close to covering it all. Also, during the manicure, the manicurist next to her needed a nail file so my manicurist gave her the nail file she just used on me without cleaning it! I gave it 3 stars because maybe it was just the woman I had that night. But regardless I am going somewhere else to fix it. Read Less

Wow! I just got my nails done here tonight after a terrible experience at Douglas J institute. I received an AMAZING and quick beautiful gel manicure from Creative Nail Spa for $23 from Tracy. I've gotten tons of manicures and this is by far one of the best I've ever gotten at the very best value -- they look perfect!This is the first time I've gotten a gel manicure and I had accidentally picked out a polish that was more coral than true pink -- Tracy painted one nail then asked if I wanted a more pink polish (which I did). She went above and beyond to make it an absolutely great experience. Thank you! A little hard to find since it's tucked in the far right corner on the ground level of an apartment complex. There is no sign on street, so I passed it driving a couple times. The interior is fairly new and clean. Prices are reasonable for the area $35 mani/pedi. The lady did a nice job with my nails. Docking one star because the ventilation is lacking. The smell of chemicals esp further inside is really overpowering even compared with other salons. You get more used to it the longer you are there, but I'm sure it's not healthy! Read Less

Tracy is awesome! I was looking into a new nail salon in the area and came upon the positive reviews of this salon, so I figured I would try it out. The reviews were correct -- this place is clean, great prices, and a friendly customer service. I came in late and Tracy even stayed a little late after closing time. My nails look very natural. Acrylic fill-in is only $15. The place is extremely clean and sanitary. A great selection of OPI nail polishes. I would highly recommend this place and ask for Tracy! Read Less

I had a terrible experience here today. I went with a group of friends to celebrate my friend's birthday. I was the only person who had my nails done by the owner. My last manicure was 10 days ago and my cuticles were in good shape when I arrived. When I left, 3 of my cuticles were bleeding. The woman was so rough and cut me multiple times during the manicure. When I pointed this out, she blamed it on my cuticles being dry. This has never happened before and I moisturize them daily. I told her I was disappointed with my manicure because I have cuts on my cuticles and she finally agreed to give me 20% off (another nail tech had to offer it and she tried to steer me away from getting 20% back after I had payed.) I've been to this salon before and never had this happen, but have never had the owner do my nails before. Beware of Edward Scissorhands if you go to this salon. I forgot to add this review before I left for my NYE trip but better late than never. Tracy is AMAZING! She did my pink glitter acrylic nails for NYE and were gorgeous! She was extremely careful and very sweet. She even added an extra few coats of glitter to make them sparkle even more for my trip! I have been told that a few of the nail salons in Lansing weren't all that great but this salon is gorgeous inside and out! I did make an appointment before I left my house just to make sure there wouldn't be a wait time when I got there. Something I would recommend to a lot of women to save time.
