The first time I went I got a shellac manicure. It didn't look too good after day 2. I let it go. Wanted to get my eyebrows done when I received the text coupon. Yay at first but then it was book because it's $20+ . Now I'm all for supporting black businesses but c'mon $20 to rip hair off my forehead is a bit much. Today, I had an appointment booked. I booked it yesterday via their website and received a confirmation email. When I arrived for my appointment, they had no record of it being booked. I showed my confirmation email and all that was said is that it's strange and if I could hang out for a bit. There was no real apology or "make good" for the mix-up on their end. I did wait for a while, got an appointment, but my nails are not at the standard I know The TEN offers. They're filed crooked and the polish is pretty sloppy.Read Less

Amazing experience today! Was visiting from out of town and wanted to get a manicure with my sister and friend. From the reservation to our arrival to our manicures, the entire time was personal, and I felt pampered! I'm really disappointed to say this, but I went to The Ten for the first time to get their TENth Dimension gel manicure and it's one of the worst gel manicures I've ever had. It's been less than two weeks and my nails already chipped and peeled off, revealing wet, bubbled up gel polish underneath and torn up nails. I specifically got this manicure for a wedding over the weekend and it was extremely upsetting to have chipped, gross nails for the wedding pictures.Read Less

The customer service at the TEN Nail Bar was exceptional, I was greeted by name when I entered the door, was immediately offered a beverage of my choosing, I arrived ahead of my scheduled appointment and during my wait time I was entertained with great conversation and a wonderful music selection. I was the only MAN in the shop during this time and was treated as such. I would highly recommend all my fellow fellas go check out the TEN Nail Bar. was excited to see a nail salon in Detroit with good reviews and lots of hours/availability. It has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff - however the actual manicure wasn't anything out of the ordinary for booking "1 hour" and spending $40 plus tipping and parking. A gel manicure has always taken about 35 minutes if i have a reservation and that's how long it took at the TEN bar so not sure why it's booked for an hour. the seats for the manicure were very uncomfortable! didn't seem very ergonomic for the technician either to not have any back support. The TEN is by far the best nail bar I've been to in Michigan (period). The inside is absolutely gorgeous, the staff is attentive and super friendly. I walked in for a gel fill in and they were able to seat me right away with Sabrina. She did an amazing job and we had a lovely conversation. She is the only nail tech that does the service so I would suggest booking an appointment; she also has all the latest nail art supplies which is a super plus. Beautiful space! My biggest complaint with getting manicures is I feel that it always takes longer than expected. Sharon did great work within the appointment time! I was so pleased.
