I have been burned by this place so many times, and now, will never return. I don’t care how Convenient it might be. No matter what, if you make an appointment- chances are- it won’t be honored. Not at all. This has happened multiple times. I end up leaving having just wasted 30+ minutes of time. Make sure you asked for every little thing they do, if you sneeze they might charge you. I got a full set nails and my husband got a manicure and they charged us $68 without explanation. When we asked she broke it down. Full set: $30 Additional shellac: $12 For having almond shape: $5 Manicure: $16 Buffing: $5 🙄 Iv never had anyone charge additional for buffing and shaping. Absolutely under no circumstances have the dude who works there do your nails. He does a horrible job. Not only is he really rough, he files the nails unevenly, and paints your nails streaky. Called to find out what the wait was for a manicure and the lady said they could take me right away because they were not busy. That was 5:30. Took me five minutes to get there and there were plenty of techs. Still waiting at 6:15 with TWO full acrylic fills ahead of me. Apparently,  they'll tell you anything to draw business in. Yes.  I've experienced better - MUCH better.  I went there to get a pedicure and was offered a free smoothie.  I got it and it had some kind of "beads" in it which were flavor beads, I think.  REALLY awful when they got in your mouth.  Good thing it was free.  The last time I was in here, I sat and waited about 30 minutes while I think they were training a young guy.  Got fed up and left.  This time the place is bigger and I think it's owned by someone else - I think.  The thing that got me - and I blame myself wholly for this - the pedicure alone was $28!  Won't go back. Worse job I have ever had. nails weren't filed right my real nail was showing out the side,cuticles were not done gel was horrible nail was chipping on the first day smh never did my nails look like that. I was there last night around 7 and the guy I assume that owns it ,,is so rude didn't even know the wait to tell me and just was rude to me not friendly I used to go there all the time for a Tracy that worked there but she has been gone long time so I stopped, now I no why Cuz of him ugly rude person !!!! This place is a disaster. I had shellac done on Wednesday. Afterwards the technician filed down the tips of my nails. The next day they started chipping off. I had to wait until Saturday to come in. Because the nails were filed afterwards they kept chipping and all of them are now uneven at the tips. They refuse to redo them and will not give me a refund! It was 4 days ago! Lee and Jenny are the only ones who can do nails properly. The last time I went,neither one of these ladies were available. I had to settle on the younger girl. She did a TERRIBLE job. Jenny is the only good part of this place. She is amazing and keeps people wanting to come back. I was at the nail salon with a friend for over two hours on Saturday. I got stuck with danny, the owner, who only wants to collect the 25 from my shellac manicure and doesn't care about what my nails look like or if I'm having a relaxing time. He took well over an hour to do a Shellac manicure. He kept getting up from the table, taking phone calls and answering texts while doing my nails. They aren't even filed evenly. I would give a 0 but it's not allowed. I had my nails done on sat for a wedding they were done terribly.    I didn't have time to have them redone that day. They were closed sun and mon. So I came back Tuesday as soon as possible. They refused to fix them saying "they look fine to us". Then proceeded to argue with me for 20 minutes. I have been going to Hollywood Nails for 20 plus years and have had nothing but exceptional service.  Mary, does my (shellac) nails, toes and brows on a regular basis (about every two weeks) - what a wonderful job - no complaints!  Both Denny and Mary are very customer oriented and are very receptive in resolving issues and/or concerns customers may have.  They have a large selection of polishes, including shellac, to choose from;  the shop is clean and well-maintained;  and there is plenty of parking.  I've moved from the Dearborn Heights area to Northville about 3 years ago and thought I would try a salon closer to home because it would be more convenient.  Well, I did, once or twice and have not found a salon that compares to the service and friendliness that I receive at Hollywood Nails. I was a new customer to this nail salon but friend was a regular. We were getting mani+pedi. There was 3 ppl working and 3 customers. Another lady walked in and soon as one nail techs was done with her customer she started her nails. that was the first problem then once the 2nd nail tech was done my friend started getting her nails done. Another customer comes in and got waited on. I was done. After i got my mani+pedi not even a week and a half is by and my nail polish is fading and two nails broke. Never going again. Read Less

My shellac is chipping within a few days of getting them done. The lady who did my nails went way to fast. Did allow shellac to dry. Not to mention they are more expensive then others places in the area. They definitely went down hill from a few years ago. Now I know why they had to close half the shop. Read Less

I wouldn't let my dog get his nails done in this place.  Service was awful, price was about what you'd pay anywhere else but they charged me $10 to remove my shellac polish. I think the girls nails are still in my feet from using them as a gripping tool.  I didn't notice anyplace to clean the tools. Hope I don't end up with a foot fungus or worse. Not what I expected.  Won't go ever again and certainly wouldn't recommend.  Not even a one star rating but can't remove it. Read Less

Horrible. I went for a fill-in. And although I was helped quickly, the technicians were not friendly. I had one woman do the acrylic fill-in (which came out like crap), and then she left! Another tech came to polish. They aren't sanitary here, their polish doesn't stay on, even with acrylics, and she missed a few fingers. My nails look absolutely gross now. Great place!  The place is clean and the staff couldn't be friendlier!  They also have a lot of stations and pedicure chairs.  I usually just walk-in and have never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes. They offer Shellac and Gel manicures and it is the best I have had...stays on 2 weeks or longer!  They have a large color selection so you can pick any color under the sun.  They are also great about fixing your nails, if you are unhappy.  The last time I was in and got Shellac there was a faint (I mean you could hardly see it) wrinkle in the polish on my nail after it dried.  I was looking at it and my nail tech asked me to see it.  She immediately fixed it all up for me!  I was shocked and super pleased!
