My daughter started going to Lucky Hair Co and got a great short edgy cut about little over a year ago. Saw her stylist a few times then she left. Got a new stylist who was even better, but again after a couple of times apparently moved. Onto her third stylist, I requested someone who knew how to cut short edgy hair. Well that didn't happen. The stylist kept asking my 13 year old how to cut the back, like she would know!?! She looked horrible, the back of her head was a mess and it should have just been as simple taper cut. My daughter said the stylist was very rough with the brush and was burning her head with the hairdryer to the point she would say ouch and pull away. She never had a problem previously. BEST SALON EVER... My stylist moved.. far far away.. 😭😭😭.. I was told the Salon on Main does Wonders.. 🤗🤗 I was SUPER excited the day of my appt.. New Hair Don't Care 💇‍♀️👱‍♀️mood.. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN.. far from it.. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️.. I don't know how that place is still open.. that lady FRIED my hair.. I can't even explain how completely horrible my hair looked.. 🤡🤬😤😖😢.. I was looking for somewhere local to get my hair done and I came across Lucky Hair Company through Yelp. Amy was the stylist who cut, color and styled my hair. She sat down with me before we she started and got a good idea of what I wanted to do with my hair, the texture and how much time I spend on my hair everyday. I have curly hair and have been following the Curly Girl Method. Amy was very familiar with the method and actually cut my hair dry which is the norm for cutting curly hair. She did a great job cutting my long hair into a lob and the balayage color. She styled my hair and I left a very happy camper. The salon charges based on a level system and Amy is a level 3 stylist. I've been salon shopping for couple of months. I really need a good stylist to work on my hair. So today Sept 18th 2017 I decided to give Lucky Hair Salon a try because I read it had a lot of good review. The receptionist were really helpful and friendly. She assigned a hairstylist name Christine to me. She was really awesome, made me feel comfortable and relax. She knew what color highlights I wanted. Where do I begin .. my family and I were here to get away from the hurricane in Miami. I made an appt and yes they are very welcoming and nice .. but they are super expensive for the low quality of service they provide . The hair tech seemed like she just got out of school .. her hands shook the minute she picked up the scissors. I have anxiety and don't like making phone calls so I searched for a high rated salon with online appointments with same day opening.  Impossible but found it with Lucky.The salon is so welcoming. They have a receptionist that greets you and makes you feel at home with offers of something to drink.  She helps with cashing out and setting next appointments too.Amy is my stylist and she is so thoughtful and talented.  I had bad hair going in and she helped ease me into the style I wanted, over time.  She knew my vision and helped me to grow out my previous style and to bring health back to my hair with vegan shampoo (thrilled with this option of vegan because I'm allergic to most things).She doesn't pressure me into more services than I need and it makes me comfortable that she offers ways to brighten my hair without overdoing it with blonde (which is a thing I tend to do).She understood why I don't like hairspray and asked what I liked to use. All I can say is that I went from my hair being a hot mess...to being hot...thanks sooo much to Christine!!! Had really grown out faded brassy highlights with more than a few gray strands at the roots on my olive complexion....not a pretty site...to a gorgeous deep brunette with rich deep reddish highlights....added some bangs, blow out of my long naturally curly hair and wow...love love love it...great cut as well. 1st visits to any shop will rarely get any kind of mention from me (unless they are horrific) because there is a huge learning curve when you go to a new stylist. HOWEVER.. I am absolutely beyond thrillled with my new cut, my total experience and the knowledge and care given by Tori my new stylist!She listens, she is very positive and honest about her opinion on the direction the cut is going. We all know how hard it is to find a stylist that can be on board for your visit, make you feel appreciated and not just a number.The rest of the ladies I cane into contact with were very friendly and helpful.. not one single snooty look or whispering(you know what I mean) the shop is inviting, luxurious without being pretentious and clean. I've been going to Lucky for almost 3 years now, 2 of which has been with Lea as my stylist.  She is an Amazing stylist and colorist.  My hair has never been healthier or more beautiful.  She always helps me to take an idea of where I want my hair to go (short and edgy) and actually creates something that works with my hair texture and style.  She doesn't just recreate whatever picture you bring in, she works with you to make sure that when you walk out you are at your most beautiful.  She also does my color, helping me to achieve a look that is beautiful, but also professional enough not to raise eyebrows within my extremely conservative profession.Shmitty does my eyebrows.  She helped me to realize how much more beautiful my face looked with slightly more natural brows instead of just waxing the living crap out of them.  She never fails to make me smile and is always fun to talk to.  She's also done facials on me a couple time and the results are always great.If you want true professionals go here.  Expect that you will pay for their expertise, but I have always felt that their prices are very reasonable for what I consider to be the best salon in the area. I was sent to Lucky Hair Salon as a gift for my 50th birthday from my husband. All I can say, is, WOW, what an experience! My day of pampering started off with a manicure and pedicure done by Trish, during which, Mel the owner stopped by and introduced herself, which i thought was a nice touch. Then it was on to Shannon who did my hair & color. I was treated to lunch before my massage by Debra. Debra's hands were magic, and totally relaxed me. Recently I found Lucky Hair Company and I couldn't be happier! I must admit that I was apprehensive when I first made my appointment, but when I walked in I knew that I was in the right place. The front desk was very nice and I immediately felt comfortable. At the previous salon I had been going to the same stylist for almost 7 years but I felt like everytime I went in I got the same old highlights and haircut but when I walked out of Lucky Hair Company, I looked and felt like a new woman!
