This salon is super convenient to my house so I was really excited to try it but they were sketchy from the beginning. No price list to be found anywhere and when I was looking for it on the walls or a flyer on the front desk, the owner asked me, “What are you going to do with it?” Literally, I just wanted to look at it and decide what to get that day. He told me various prices for acrylic and gel tips. I said I wanted a full gel set and was told to choose a color. He proceeded to just do acrylic nails with regular nail polish and my right pointer finger was super crooked (I asked him to make that finger on each hand a little shorter.) They looked alright and acrylic was $10 cheaper so I thought maybe I would be alright with that set, but today is only the two week mark and I already need a fill. Plus my left pointer finger broke off this morning which I’ve never had happen. Sometimes they start to peel off but this snapped right in half. There was also an employee (I believe) sleeping on one of the pedicure chairs thee entire time I was there which seems unprofessional to me. Nina has been my go to girl for about 5 years now. She really cares about her customers being happy, she will keep you posted on a good time to come so you do not have to wait as long. If you are a walk in, they do love fast. Nina is very artistic with her nail style and her pedicures are amazingggg!!! My legs were so swollen during both of my pregnancies. I have been coming to this salon regularly since fall of 2015. The owners, Nina and Jordan, are wonderful! They do great nails & designs, they're very personable, and they do your nails quickly while still taking their time to make sure you get what you want. Employees were nice and the salon looked clean. The prices are comparable to elsewhere. I called and was told I would be able for to get in for a gel manicure. I waited 20 minutes after the set time and couldn’t wait any longer. I wish the employee would have been upfront and said that there would have been a wait. What a horrible place,, I walked in, they didn't greet me, instead said" you have to call to make an appointment". I was ripped off yesterday by Lisa..i unknowingly was having gell instead of acrylic. I am new to nail tips as I explained that to her. Instead if $15.00 it was $35.00. No mention to me on which I even wanted. Bad nail job as you can see my tips thru the French. I even asked her if i should just do color. Her reply was "no", you should not be able to see it. So I use to be a big fan of this place until the last few times I went. The first time the new owner was very rude and messed up mine and my daughters nails, this past time I asked for gel and got acrylic and charged for gel with a crappy paint job and the guy was very rude. I had the most horrible experience here. I recently moved from Miami and had NexGen on my nails.  I explained to the gentleman that it was not acrylic and that my normal manicurist soaks the color off. When he could not get the color off in the time he is used to (because  next NexGen takes a little longer than Shellac, which I told him) he accused me of being a liar and told me I was lying and that it was acrylic! He also told me I knew from the beginning that it was acrylic and tried to publicly embarrass and humiliate me in the dirty nail shop. I asked him Sir, I wouldn't lie about acrylic why would I?  I don't play games and I don't try to deceive. However, I am African-American he figured he could say whatever he wanted to me. I'm reaching out publicly to let African-Americans no do not patronize this establishment. Clearly, they do not value nor want us here and feel very comfortable saying you are a liar when in fact you are not lying! I showed him the NexGen website where it reads in big bold font Not Acrylic ! I also left him a big tip because that is Not what he expected me to do. I had just gone to a different salon a week prior and my nails were already lifting so I tried this nail salon and could notice the difference immediately! This place is right by my apartment complex so I decided to try it to get my nails filled. The service was good and the girls working were very friendly and chatty. The prices are pretty average with other nail salons. I will be going back next time I need my nails done! Read Less

If I had to base this review on the shape of my nails it would have been a 5 star. But  since it's on the whole service I would say a 2... Maybe a 2 1/2. I came in for a shellac manicure and it was the worst I've ever had no soap in my water, no cuticle remover product, just used water for the whole service. I think he took more time on the shaping of my nails (that are not that long) then he did on the actual service. If your looking for a place that does great shape I would recommend them but the shellac service was terrible. Also not a lot of color choices. Read Less

I don't know what made me come here but I did as I desperately needed my nails done. I'm not 100% happy with my nails only because it's not what I wanted but I do like them.  I originally wanted the V-cut coffin nails pink and white with a rhinestone in the middle. He forgot to put the pink gel on the first nail. I figured he was going to use that clear-ish pink polish to make them pink instead but then he said he will put the pink gel on the rest of the nails. No. I told him to make them all the same as I'm not about to have one nail that looks different. Then I asked if they had the color changing shellac. I was hoping they had that whit that changes to like a red/orange color. They didn't. So I picked the one that turns grey and black. After he was done filing and shaping my nails, he brought me these 3 pinks to choose form. I didn't like any of them as they were actual polish and not the transparent look I was going for but I picked the lightest pink. He told me that it wasn't going to be a good contrast with the color I picked. Why would you bring it to me then?!? I picked it anyways. He put that on then put on the mood changing polish in the v cut shape that I wanted. I thought he was going to put on another coat but he only did one. I love my nails when they're black but when they turn gray, they're ugly. This could have been avoided if he would have just done a second coat. Then they charge an additional $15 for shellac. Most places charge an extra $10. I know it's only $5 but that's ridiculous!But on a bright note, I LOVE my coffin shape. Both sides are equal. Went here for my first time today.  No appointments necessary but I made one because I'm impatient. :) Appears clean but I'm not a huge fan of foot bath pedicures.  I also prefer to have the tools used on me visible.  During my pedicure she was using large ketchup type bottles on my feet, and the caps were not switched out.  I'd be ok with that if the tips weren't touching my feet.  Overall, she did a wonderful job and was very pleasant. A bit of a language barrier because all of the people in the shop were not speaking english, so when she put me near the dryers, I wasn't sure how to work them, then just figured I put my feet under.  I was right.  Only $25 for a standard pedi, which is a great deal, considering I usually pay $60 at my salon. The wife and I came here for the first time over the weekend for pedis. We didn't make an appointment, so we waited for a bit, but it wasn't unreasonable.Our "deluxe" pedis were $30 which added a salt scrub, hot towel, and massage. I can't compare it to their normal pedi ($25), but it seemed like a deal for just $5 more.My pedicurist was thorough and took her time, especially with the scrub and massage (the best parts!). Unfortunately, Allison's pedicurist seemed like she was just learning - she rushed through a lot of the steps, but somehow finished her pedi a full ten minutes after mine was done.The atmosphere isn't nearly as plush or serene as some of the other places you might go, but they spent a good 45 minutes with us, and I can't argue with the price point. This is he nail place I have been coming to consistently but they are nothing super special. Just average at everything. Nothing above and beyond or anything like in used to coming the west coast. They don't do a bad job but not a great job either. I come here because the three other nail salons I tried out here were literally terrible. Did not care for it.  It's been a while since I had my nails done so i went here because of the good reviews.  The man who did my nails gave me acrylic when i asked for gel, which OK whatever I like acrylic as well.  I felt like he just didn't give two fucks about me and I was bothering him by coming in.  Again as long as my nails where good I don't care.  After he was done my nails were really thick and kinda lumpy looking.  As I said I haven't had my nails done in a  long time so I was like OK.  When It was time to get refilled I went to a different place to get then filled.  The guy who was filling kept asking why so thick, not good not good.  Took him 2 hours to do my nails because he had to file and even out so much. This was one of the nicest places I've ever gotten a manicure from. Honestly, the cost was oh so right and the service was great. At only $13 for a mini cute, $25 for a pedicure, or $36 for both, it was the cheapest manicure I've ever gotten. The facilities were smaller, but comparable to LUV. After years of trying just about every nail salon in the Canton, Plymouth and Westland area, I've found the absolute best. Their prices are competitive, and everyone does a great job.My only major complaint is that their shellac selection is lacking.
