I went to Nail Salon Tech despite some negative reviews on Google, mostly because coming from a saturated New York City nail salon market where services are both excellent and cheaper, I can't stand to pay more than $25 for a pedicure. But I bit the bullet and went to Nail Salon Tech in Brighton, where a quick call ahead informed me that their pedicures were $30. It's a fine looking place--spacious, with tacky decorations, but there was a well-placed July Vogue right behind my pedi chair, which greatly enhanced my enjoyment of the experience. A couple flat-panel TVs were on, though not one I could see. And I have to say that everything actually went along well, until I looked down at my toes following putting them under the drying lamp. There was polish everywhere: on the nail, yes, but also on my cuticles, bleeding into the skin. It looked bad. And when I was thinking back on it, I don't even think I got a top coat put on. The polish looks pretty dull, so I'm suspecting that's the case. Maybe I'm just misguided because of my experiences in a real metropolis, but for $30, I expect a pedicure that's much closer to aesthetically perfect. I wouldn't go back. Read Less
