I've been coming here almost every two weeks for about a year now for my acrylics. Haven't had better work or better customer service anywhere in the city. They're always very accommodating to me time wise -- probably because I actually show up when my appointment time is. I can't imagine being entitled enough to think I should be accommodated when I'm the one who is late. My nails always look beautiful and natural and I always get asked who does them. They're also very quick while still producing beautiful results. Sometimes I'm out of there in under 30 minutes. I tried really hard not to be age-ist and let the older lady at both Telegraph and Troy locations do my nails but I regretted it both times. I work nearby so I sometimes come to this place for lunch time manicures. I have been very happy with every manicure I receive here. I am kind of a nail snob so take my word for it. If you come here, you can relax and not worry about them shaping your nails badly or messing up your polish. They also have dryers in the stations so you can let your nails air dry without moving to a dryer. I would recommend. Note, I prefer the woman to do my nails here. The location on telegraph is so much friendlier and better than the location on Woodward. Do not go see Sean unless you want to be barked at, yelled at, told your nails are all crooked because your fingers are crooked (???!), snapped at and generally treated badly. I've have been served by him on and off for years, mostly when I'm desperate to get my nails done and no one else is available. I always leave feeling abused and berated. He's extremely rude. I asked him specific questions and he ignored me, I asked again and he snaps "I do t know what you're talking about". I tried again and again was ignored. Wondering if I should ask him in Vietnamese because I'm pretty sure he's not short of hearing, it's just selective. Today I had a hangnail and very sore cuticle. I told him. Then I flinched and pulled back instinctively when he filed very hard at that nail and then he scolded me for not letting him file the nail. I was shocked. He did an awful job and when I pointed out he had painted half a nail and missed the side, he cut me off and snapped "yeah yeah yeah!". Wtf! I've never left a small tip and I almost left him nothing but I did leave a very small tip because I don't go to a customer service oriented business to be spoken to that way. I also had the same service I get at telegraph but somehow got charged $66 and not $50. My nails are shockingly bad.... thick and ugly. I have been coming here for pedicures for about 5 years, since it is across the street from my therapist's office.  The prices have always been reasonable--$27 for a pedi-- and the pedicure chairs are the best around: comfy, big, clean.  I have noticed over the past year that the quality of the pedicures has declined. While the chairs are the same, the time spent on a pedicure has cut down dramatically and the prices have continued to increase (sometimes $30, sometimes $40, and I can't ever tell why). The manicures have always been terrible, in my opinion. I just took my daughter on Friday and the manicure lasted about 10 minutes and they did a crappy job on applying the nail polish near the bottom of the nail. I called early in the day and asked for an appointment with a nail tech that my friend recommended.  I was told I could take his next opening  at 6:45 that day. When I arrived for my appointment,the nail tech was not there!Makes one wonder what else they mislead customers about?  Like, are the tools really sterilized?Misleading, unprofessional business practices. Extremely overpriced. Charged me $40 for just a shellac manicure and they didn't even massage/lotion my hands or warm my cuticles. Polish Chanel for shellac is $21 so how is a manicure that much more expensive?! The girl who did my manicure clearly had an attitude problem when I told her I only wanted a manicure.  She tried upselling me in a shellac (which I normally get but I have my reasons this time to hold off).  I kept telling her no. She could care less about taking time to give me a good manicure and it clearly shows.  I listened in on another customer and her manicurist also started upcharging her on some special lotion they use for an extra $5.  The customer was too nice to tell he no.  I've gone to other places in the area and they use great lotions and don't charge an extra $ for it.  Avoid this place if you can. 2 stars because the space and staff is nice and they were able to accommodate a large bridal party.  The nail job was terrible though. The man who did my nails did not take time to scrub my calluses at all and my feet hardly looked better after.  My shellac manicure only lasted 3 days before it chipped.  Please keep in mind that I regularly get my nails done at a different salon (I am not from the area) and my nails last 2-3 weeks.  I am now 5 days out of my shellac manicure and it looks terrible and I will have to go pay to get it removed tomorrow. I am incredibly disappointed that I paid for such poor quality. A complete waste of money, regular polish would have lasted just as long. :( Read Less

I went in for a shellac manicure and a pedicureShellac was $30 and total it was $69. I got them done Friday 4/27 and by Sunday 4/30 My entire finger was chipped. I called and they said they will fix it but I left for vacation on Saturday for a week. The whole point of going there and getting shellac was so my nails would stay nice for the week long vacation. Pretty upset that I'm only one day in to vacation and my nail is completely chipped. I'm also disappointed that the pedicure was more expensive than my shellac manicure. The nail technician was super nice and very friendly but for what you pay for...its honestly not worth it. Shellac should last at least a week or 2. Not 2 days. Read Less

I bought a gift certificate for my 15 year old daughter.  When she went to redeemThe nail tech ask her what she wanted and she said manicure and pedicure. The nail tech said shelliac.  My daughter said no manicure pedicure.  The nail tech then gave her a shelliac on her nails and said no pedicure you got shelliac.  My daughter said I wanted a mani/pedi. Luckily another customer was in the salon and said she told you she wanted mani/ pedi.  So the the nail tech was very rude and did a pedicure on my daughter.  She gave dirty looks the entire time and also spoke in a different language. And did a horrible job on her pedicure.  I will never return to this place ! Read Less

I love Bloomfield Nails! They do a great job! I always ask for Eva. She's so sweet( gives me a hug every time she see's me) and does a excellent job with manicures and pedicures! Bloomfield Nails is my new go-to for manis and pedis. The salon is so clean and serene! I'm instantly relaxed when I walk in - they go a long way to create a spa-like atmosphere. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the nail color selection!! And I've been there 4 times, had 4 different nail techs, and not a single bad or even mediocre job. Definitely make sure you have cash for a tip! Very clean, excellent selection of colors, pleasant staff. The polish was less than perfect but was immediately corrected, and my toenails weren't straight, kind of on an angle on a couple of toes. $45 for mani and pedi, done in just over an hour. The lotion used after the leg scrub is peppermint so definitely shave the day before or it'll burn! Also, no massage or lotion in my manicure at all. Weird. So, 4 stars, I'll be back because its right by my office. Oh, and cash only for tips, so plan ahead. They do take walk-ins. Read Less

I went to this nail salon on a whim because my nails needed major help. The young lady who did my nails was not only sweet but a miracle worker. It was a well price service at a very clean and pleasant salon!! Unlike the typical salons you find at the same rate. If you're like me, you've wished you could snap your fingers and instantly have perfect polish that coordinates with your mood/outfit/season/occasion.... Since that is impossible, a great mani/pedi is essential. I get so mentally attached to the beauty after spending time and money to look the way a lady ought to look. I am extremely picky (Literally a constant cuticle picker). I'm almost hesitant to spread the word because I know once you try it once you'll LOVE IT. Bloomfield nails offers a perfect balance to the customers. It is a relaxing environment, without being empty or overpacked.
