For the Best Manicure and Pedicure in Bloomfield Hills just ask for Kevin. If you are lucky you will get the Service requested!! After going there for many years and I was told that I had to wait for another appointment or another Day and Time!! That I was Late and I was Not late!! I was early and after this did happen to me three times I got up and I have not been back in over one Year!! After having a appointment and Told that Kevin has taken some one else because I was Late!! Do Not trust the wonderful workers!! They are all family members and sure does not Care About a long time every week Customers and I even let Kevin use my AAA Road Service Card For Free And the Thanks That I got after working All day in Ann Arbor Michigan was telling me that I have missed my appointment time because I was Late and I was early buying a gift for Kevin at Best Buy and I was Always early And never Late. I thought Kevin was my friend for Years and I was just Another Customer Being Over Charged And Kevin Sure did not feel that I was his friend or he would not have turned me away 3 Different Times And he just laughed about it and sure did not care or he would not have turned me away once And sure not 3 Times. No friend would have done this to a friend or a Many Years Customer!?

Love this place and Tony is my absolute favorite because he slays your nails to look natural, not all thick and unevenly shaped like some salons. He also takes his time unlike many salons who merely want to hurry up and push you out of the door for the sake of quantity, as opposed to quality!

Had my nails done for my wedding but it looks like something a 14 y/o would go to a dance with, the lady who did mine also decided that she wanted to add blue to my nails without even asking me. My wedding color scheme doesn't include blue at all but it can be my something blue so it worked out but just for others who are looking to do something more than casual, I would suggest something else. Not worth the $75.

Had a mani/pedi done for my wedding but it looks like something a 14 y/o would go to a dance with, the lady who did mine also decided that she wanted to add blue to my nails without even asking me. My wedding color scheme doesn't include blue at all but it can be my something blue so it worked out but just for others who are looking to do something more than casual, I would suggest something else. Not worth the $75.

I came to get my shellac taken off. I wanted to get my nails done again but the staff is not friendly. The lady that was attempting to take off my shellac kept saying.. oh no way this is shellac.. it's not coming out. I told her where I got my nails done and that is was in fact shellac and not gel dip or anything else. I had one nail that had an acrylic and she didn't even take it off. I had to come home and cut my nails. Long story short I need to find a good nail salon near by!

I had a great experience. I called after calling another place who couldn't fit me in when I needed. They scheduled me for the time I needed and did a great job. The gentleman who did my nails took his time on each nail for every step. I will most certainly be returning.

Just stumbled upon this place. They were a little busy when I arrived so they gave me a 30 min later apt time, which was great. I got a $30 pedi. The best massage I've had! I would totally go back.

I have been going to this salon since it opened. I must say they have changed technicians  a few times, but they are all good at what they do. Jimmy has been doing my names for 3 years. He is always professional and kind. Helen does a wonderful job on Pedi's and they are standing in line for her mani's. I have recommended this salon to many of my friends. I have been supporting this industry for more then 25 yrs. I have been to salons similar in NYC (with they're matching aprons) and LA and this is my fav. CMJ

Finally stopped in after work after driving past this place for 8 years. I paid $2 more than if I had just traveled 5 more minutes east for a "just ok" shellac manicure. Their selection of gel colors is not very good, they only have maybe 40-50 old woman colors (5 versions of mauve is not needed in any nail salon). While I was in there an over anxious woman didn't care for the way her pinky nail was painted on her pedicure so she fixed it herself and they didn't even apologize to her that she wasn't satisfied and had to paint her own nails- they seriously couldn't have any cared less about her because she had already paid. None of the staff hustles or readily greets customers. While they wait for customers to pick a color, they are all way too glued to their ipads watching movies etc. If you can find no where else to get your nails painted, than go here. If you want to actually get a quality job and interact with people who don't mope around like zombies go anywhere else.They charge quite a bit for doing a half-assed job.

I always go here for manicures when I'm in town visiting family. Even during busy holiday times they always manage to squeeze me in, even without an appointment. All the staff is very friendly. The manicures are well done and last for a reasonable amount of time. They have lots of colors to choose from and also have no problem if you bring in your own polish. The only thing that *might* bother some people is that the staff chats a lot with each other and not in English. I don't care, but I know it does bother others.

I wouldn't say it's the best place I have gone to. While they are friendly, I went in to have my nails taken off and they literally tried to pull them off instead of soaking them. When I told the lady it hurt she mumbled something and kept going. After I left, I saw the hours on the door and they where almost closed when I went in so instead of telling me I am too late they decided to do it the quick way (and painful). I lost a lot of respect for them and will never return.

A-1 is one of the best nail salons in the area. Â I have been to most of them and A-1 does the best job. Â I live in NYC but return to this area at least once a month. Â My nails never chip when Helen does them and they will always try to fit you in even when they are busy. Â Their prices are some of the most reasonable in town. Â For gel nails and a pedicure I have paid almost double in other area salons. Â I always go to Helen. Â However, a few of the male technicians do not have a very good grasp of English and you have to make sure that you are understood.

This is the absolute WORST place i have ever gone to, do not waste your time or money.First of all i live not even a block away so its convenient for me to go here but i will never, EVER go again. I have been getting my nails done for years. I never break/chip my nails but every time i go here my nail always break the same or following day. I have been there a total of 3 times. The last time I went back to get my nail fixed the next day he said he didn't have time to fix it and i would have to come back another day. Â I don't remember his name but he was rude as they always are when I go in there. On top of that i have paid less at other places and received better more efficient service, they are to expensive to not be great at what they do. If i'm going to pay more money than a normal nail salon I expect the service to be better and my nails not to chip. Follow my advice, save yourself the head ache and the money. A1 Nails is not worth the money you spend. BAD Service all around. The shop looks nice but that's about it.

I like A1. Â It's my go-to spot for manis and pedis. Â Reliable and decent prices. Â My daughter loves Tommy. Â He does great thumb designs. Â Also a great spot to get eyebrows done - convenient.

I have been going to this salon since it opened. I must say they have changed technicians  a few times, but they are all good at what they do. Jimmy has been doing my names for 3 years. He is always professional and kind. Helen does a wonderful job on Pedi's and they are standing in line for her mani's. I have recommended this salon to many of my friends. Finally stopped in after work after driving past this place for 8 years. I paid $2 more than if I had just traveled 5 more minutes east for a "just ok" shellac manicure. Their selection of gel colors is not very good, they only have maybe 40-50 old woman colors (5 versions of mauve is not needed in any nail salon). I always go here for manicures when I'm in town visiting family. Even during busy holiday times they always manage to squeeze me in, even without an appointment. All the staff is very friendly. The manicures are well done and last for a reasonable amount of time. They have lots of colors to choose from and also have no problem if you bring in your own polish.
