I am from out of town and I came here for my friends birthday. We came in about an hour before closing  (since we did not know the hours of the salon). They were able to answer our questions and get us into the chairs quickly. My friends got shellac and I got artificial nails with gel powder. All three women that worked with us were detail oriented and we were beyond happy with the service we received. I wish I lived closer so I could go here regularly. This place was recommended to me. I couldn't get an appointment with the person that was recommended. So I had a girl named Lee do my nails. I asked when I made the appointment if they do nail art because I'm very into nail art! They said yes! First let me say I was in the medical field and I'm a little neurotic about cleanliness proper cleaning techniques of nail instruments so on and so forth. I will say the place appeared clean. No one speaks clear English so it was hard to understand what the woman said to me when I first walked in. Okay that's fine whatever. I had a 5pm appointment and at 5:35 she finally called me over to her chair. I told her I wanted acrylics and the shape I wanted was Coffin. I haven't had fake nails since 2001. I normally do my own nails and nail art. I was watching her every move and I was pleased with how she put the acrylic on. I tried engaging her in conversation and all she did the whole time was talked to the other employees in their native language and laughed. I have to say that really annoyed me I actually felt very uncomfortable, if I'm paying you to do my nails ignoring me doesn't exactly make me feel like you give a rat's ass which I know all you ladies understand that. I brought my own nail polish thank goodness because their selection sucked I have to say I did not want gel maybe that's why their selection sucked. While she was doing the acrylic I asked her about nail art she said "no, no" and then said something in her native language to the girl next to her and I was a little put off by that . Okay so she got done with my nails and put me under the dryer. When I got home and started really looking at my nails there were a couple dents in the acrylic I had to touch up the Polish where it was too thin. They look FAKE! And they definitely were not shaped properly the way I requested and she said she knew what coffin looked like and how to do it. So I was convinced by my mother to give them another shot but that I should see this girl Heidi that was recommended to her. I made an appointment it was for 5pm on Tuesday. I got there at about 4:50 and was told she left for the day. "WHAT? What do you mean she left I have a 5pm appointment with her!" they said she just left because she lost her voice. I was PISSED! The reason I was pissed was because they refuse to take clients phone numbers so u have to drive there to find out if you still have an appointment. I asked if someone else could help me (there were at least 4 employees and only 1 customer and they said no one could help me. I told them that was BS and that I will never be back. So, Needless to say I am not going back nor is my mother! I hope you have a better experience should you go there. I would advise you to go somewhere else!!! Read Less

Best pedicures in the area! Excellent technicians - very thorough. My feet always look great when I leave and the polish lasts for weeks. The customer service is unsurpassed... a technician once walked me to my car after a pedicure to make sure I didn't slip on any ice. Happy customer! Read Less

Umm...this place has been good for polish longevity and that's why I come. Not for the company and apparently not for the service. After sitting there 20 minutes past my appointment time and having the woman (customer) next to me in the pedicure chair literally clipping her hangnails and throwing them in my direction I just can't handle the lack of cleanliness nor the disrespect of timing. Again I tried to get my nails done here. If you are going to open up to the public at 9am, then you should make sure you have staff for walk ins or turn your "open" sign off. This is about the 5th time I've been told to come back. Time to look for a new place. I tried to keep my business in Berkley but I will not support this establishment any further. Read Less

There are so many nail salons so if one doesn't wow me I likely won't go back. This one did not wow me at all.  Staff wasn't very friendly and they barely acknowledged us, may have been a language barrier but I felt like I was interrupting their day. I went with a friend to get pedicures, we didn't have an appointment and they were busy so we expected a wait. No big deal. They had us sit in the pedicure chairs with no water in the bowls for about 20 minutes and no one really paying attention to us. If I have to wait there are least throw me some hot water for my tootsies. They were either in the middle of remodeling or just like the way plywood walls look but the ambiance left much to be desired. They don't use a razor on your feet, which I know isn't technically legal or good for your feet but I prefer that. Can't hold that against them but a pumice stone just doesn't do the trick for me. Granted, this is a $25 strip mall pedicure so I probably shouldn't expect too much but nothing about how they clean the tools jumped out at me. I am pretty comforted when I see a place remove tools from a package and they just walked over with the tools in their hands here. So like 90% of the strip mall nail places I question how sanitary it is. Read Less
