Have been here many times over the years but there is a consistent theme and I am finally done. They always try to upsell.  I went in for a pedicure recently and I was asked right away if I wanted to have my eyebrows waxed as well. I declined.  Then she asked me during the pedicure if I wanted a manicure which I declined because I was heading home to do yard work.  During the pedicure and leg massage I was offered an extra 10 minutes for an additional $10.  Respect that your customers know what they want when they come in and do not want pressure for additional services. Been In had my hair cut by my daughter who is a trainee and then a second visit to have some foils done she did a good job and all the staff are always positive and helping her really nice bunch of ppl may even start using the salon once she is qualified even if it is a bit away from mine keep it up tiffany your doin well xx Read Less

My 14 year old daughter went for a polish change and they did a terrible job. She was crying when I picked her up. She had smudges and "bits" in the polish on a couple of nails. I took her back in and complained. The lady I perceived to be the owner or manager pushed back and argued but she agreed to redo one nail and then she redid 5 of the 10. Similar to other reviewers, I wanted to love this place as it's very convenient for me. I was a walk-in over the weekend, which I understand means I may need to wait. I sat for about 40/45 minutes, not too bad, before being called over to a technician for my gel manicure. I already had gel on my nails, so she began filing the tops of the gel (eeekk- such a big no no!!) and soaking in acetone. As she wrapped my last nails, a mother and daughter walked in saying they had appointments in the salon. I was then asked to get up from the chair so they could serve these other customers. I was assured someone else would be available soon. After another 30+ minutes of sitting and waiting, someone came by to tell me they could take me. During my wait time, I watched another woman come in who had called in advance, wait for 15 minutes and then be told that they actually made a mistake and she could not be accommodated. There was no offer for a discount on her next visit or any consideration for the time wasted. By the time I finally was taken, I needed to go in order to be on time for another obligation. I asked the young woman to remove the gel that had been soaking at left. My nails are now scratched and brittle from the over filing that the first woman did. While I understand walk-ins are always a gamble, management never should have said they could take me if the books were full of appointments. I will not be returning to nail sensation. Read Less

My first visit to the salon today after getting a last minute appointment. Went in for a Cut and Blow dry and came out a different colour too! Michael was amazing, he took time to listen to how my lifestyle was and how I needed my hair to work in with my job. I mentioned that I had considered a change of colour and we discussed various options -he advised what he thought would work to get my hair back into better condition, and would suit my skin tones. I've been here a handful of times and don't like it at all. The women here don't seem friendly at all and don't try to talk to you or say hi, at least. Every time I go I get cut multiple times because everyone here is always rushing and is very rough. My number one priority for a nail salon is not to get cut and they fail in this category. Last time I went I got a woman (don't know anyone's name) who did an awful job on my acrylic set. She wouldn't listen to me when I told her I wanted my nails really short and told me I would look better with long nails. The acrylic used must have either been old or cheap because they started crusting up the next day! It was gross. I hated my nails for the length and quality. Waste of money (they are also super expensive too).The same day I was there an old man came in to get his toenails clipped. They were all speaking to each other in another language and laughing and making fun of him. The old man was oblivious but I felt bad. Never coming here again after that last experience. Read Less

I wish I liked this place because it's so close to home. Very unfriendly and rude. I wasn't happy with my last manicure (shellac chipped after a few days) and they wouldn't redo it! Bad customer service all around, especially from the girl with long hair that works in the corner. Read Less

What can I say other than amazing. The team were very friendly and welcoming and so we're the other customers. I clearly looked nervous on walking in. As I hadn't been to a salon in years. Becki did my colour and my cut. And was so patient as I wasn't too sure what I wanted. It looks and feels great. Anna then did my nails. And again she was brilliant... my nails now match my fabulous hair. Will certainly be getting all my treatments here now. Oh my word where to start?! Becky you are an absolute diamond ! Living with an illness where I dislocate numerous times a day it can prove challenging sitting for hours on end...I was constantly asked if I was comfortable or if there was anything they could do to make me comfortable which is so so lovely...becky had a tough job on her hands with my hair and she's cut and coloured it so absolute perfection !!! I live around the corner from this place, and while it is not fancy it is clean.  My pedicure and brow waxing were great.  They did try to up sell, but a polite no thank you is all it took.  This is my new place for good work at a decent price.  Would recommend. Read Less

As a wrenthamite I have been here many times. This is the salon where the girls all get their nails done before prom and where you run into that old friend. The only complaint I have is that every time I go they always ask if I want to have my brows done, it just gets a little annoying. If you go I highly recommend setting up an appointment with Anne. This place is just plain dirty. I gave it a shot because I work close by.... Never again. While getting a fill for acrylic nails, I was cut 3 times with the electric file. My nails/fingers are very sore one day later. I'm hoping no infection sets in, but wouldn't be surprised.Also, an elderly lady who was hard of hearing was seated at the table beside me. She asked for a basic manicure for 15 dollars. The tech continually asked her if she wanted this and that for extra. The lady being hearing impaired kept agreeing and saying Yes. I intervened and told the elderly woman what was happening and she would be charged extra. She did get her basic manicure.Horrible people, careless, dirty..... Go elsewhere. Read Less

I had an appointment and waited over 45 minutes after my appointment time, I had to leave. They don't value their customers to even apologize. I never got an explanation. I will try many of the other nail salons rather than going back here again. Read Less

I went to this nail salon because it is near my new home and I was pressed for time. First of all, it is not very clean. I asked her if she sterilized the equipment and she acted like she didn't know what i was saying. I picked a color and asked her to put a coat of a sparkly color on top and she insisted that the sparkles in a jar were better. She told me it would be 5 dollars to sprinkle them on. When the bill came she charged me 10 dollars and I told her I was not happy about that and she argued with me and finally gave me 5 dollars back. My nails came out fair. She didn't put the effort into them like my usual person does. Then I asked to have my toes polished. She basically told me i needed a pedicure. I let her do  a pedicure. I was skeptical because it didm't seem to be that clean and i have had fungus from a previous pedicure years ago. She did an ok job. A rush job because they were closing at that point.. I gave her a tip (not 20 percent) only because she stayed beyond her hours of work. Now I wish i didn't do that. I will not return to this salon. I went to this nail salon per recommendation. My manicurist was AWFULLY rude and would not let me get my nails done in the color I wanted. She also argued with me about shellac over acrylics, which I have done many times before. Apparently white is too difficult a color to paint on nails, but maybe it's only at this salon. They also kept trying to sell me an eyebrow wax by telling me that I could "really use one." I was highly offended. Outrageously expensive too for the awful quality. Never coming back. Read Less

My sister and I came here for pedicures. We were greeted with smiles and there was no wait time. The spa seats have amazing massagers. The staff did a great job with both our pedicures. We both got the spa pedi, it lasted about 30 minutes. We each got a tiny flower design for an extra $3. We both are very happy with the polish selection, cleanliness of the salon, quality of the pedicures and professionalism of the staff. Will definitely come back! Read Less

I was here on a saturday, the shop was busy however the customer service was still great.  I had gotten a gel French tip manicure and a French tip pedicure as well.  I was asked if the white tip was too large/too small/or just right before proceeding.  The also asked me if I wanted the pink coat to be clear, very pink or a different color, perhaps one with sparkles.  (I was never offered those choices at other salons!) never would i go to this place again. the salon was not clean at all. there were nail clippings near the sink where i was washing my hands, there were dirty cotton balls near the pedicure chairs and the floors there just looks disgusting. ive definitely been to better cleaner places. there was a note asking for customers to pay cash which i thought was ridiculous. a paying customer is a paying customer period. the staff there seemed nice and welcoming but the woman i got was not at all. i came in wanting a classic manicure and color change. the woman was so pushy i dont know if its because of her limited english but it just seems as if she didnt understand what i was saying. she first started off with trying to get me to do a pedicure saying that i needed it and that my skin was dry and  cuticles needed to be trimmed and that i have to do it repeating it many times. she finally gave up and when we got to the fingernails she tried talking me into the shellac and all i was looking for was a classic manicure. she was just as pushy as she was with the feet. she was so uncomfortable to deal with this was a horrible experience and i will never go back to this salon as i would never reccomend any friend of mines to go to. I was very excited when I found Nail Sensation, completely by accident (the snooty salon down the street refused us and recommended we go here). I believe it is the "sister" salon to my old favorite spot, Elegant Touch (anyone notice that nail salons have the cheesiest names ever?).I partly agree with all of the reviews below: the corners may have needed a little attention, there is a suggestion to pay with cash although I had no problem paying with my credit card -- just needed to borrow cash from a friend to cover tip, the prices are extremely reasonable, and they do try their hardest to "upsell."That said, this is still "my" place to get my nails done. I love that this place is welcoming, unlike bougie place down the street, and the service is friendly but not overly chatty. I had Tracey, and she did a good job, but not great; I am rather picky about my manicures, and the polish coverage was a bit substandard. However, my friend's nails came out beautifully, so I think I will try another "technician" when I return.The key for me is their equipment is clean. We've all heard the horror stories of women leaving nail salons with an additional toe or something, so sterilization is crucial. All tools are soaked in hospital-grade disinfectant and then placed under UV rays after each use. Amen.Parking is tough, I'm not gonna lie. As you walk in there is a hand written note taped to  the front desk asking clients to help keep credit card fees down by paying cash. I was then told that they'll take debit cards but "tip have to be in cash", I had to leave to go to an ATM then come back. I had a Shellac Mani and a pedi. Water for the pedi was luke warm.  I notice how dirty the floor was in the corners. Lots of dust, hair and (gag) chunks of toe nails.  Place looks like it needs to be closed for a weekend, emptied out, cleaned and repainted. Staff was friendly enough, girl doing my services tired her best to up sell me everything. The music playing in the salon was repetitive and the same song kept playing over and over.~ It was a hard for me to relax.I live in town so I might go back but I am likely to try the joint  a few doors down  before I make this place a regular stop.Shellac Mani and a regular pedi $57.00 before tip- reasonable.I returned. They sucked the acetone they used to soak my nails back into the bottle. Yup. that's right- sucked it right back into the bottle to use on the next person. This place is not great. The prices are good. I got a spa pedi here and I've certainly had better. The polish looked all splotchy and I'm not sure why, and the polish was not only on my nails. My foot soak water was cold and when I told the woman, she put some luke warm water in it and told me to put my feet in anyway. Then she tried soooo hard to sell me other services while I was there. Repeatedly. "Creative pedi?""No, just the spa pedi today.""Really? It's nice.""Just the spa pedi, please.""Extra designs?""No thank you.""Like mine? Look.""Very nice, but no thank you.""Eyebrow wax?" "No thank you. Just the pedicure." "You need it." "I know, but not today, thanks." You don't ever want to leave a spa feeling like you're ugly because you didn't partake of more of there services!
