This is my go-to nail salon when I am home. It is cheap, clean, quick, and they have all of the polish and gel colors that you would ever want. I would say that if you are looking for a more relaxed environment, I would go elsewhere. This place is full of chatty Wellesley moms and the setting, despite the massage chairs, is slightly cluttered. That's the tradeoff when you get a less expensive mani pedi, but all-in-all I have always been pleased with my results! Read Less

The spa is close to where I live so I went there as convenience. I was not impressed by the attitude of people who work there. The first time after the manicure, I was told they can't take credit card for service under $15 (or maybe $10 I can't remember exactly). They asked me to go to the next door (Peter's Pizza) to get cash from ATM there. I refused because that will occur fees since it is not my bank. They basically told me I cannot leave if I don't have cash. The second time they asked me to sit in front of a working station and said there was no waiting. Yet I sat there for a while and realized everyone was busy so I left. Today I walked in at 6:20pm and asked if they closed. I was told no and I can pick up a color. After I sat at a working station, all the nail stylists started to pack their bag and left, except for 2Who just started serving one customer (both of them were serving the same customer). Nobody acknowledged to me how long I need to wait. And I am like an invisible person to them. I don't know if I am just an unlucky person or other people have the similar experience. I don't think by law they can turn down a credit card payment and demand cash to start with. Read Less

I went to this spa last night because it was convenient for me- on the way home from work. I went around 6pm after I called earlier to schedule a later appointment earlier. First of all, I walked in and this woman (don't know if she's the owner) told me to pick out my color "very quick." I understood it was almost their time to leave, so I did as I was told, although I didn't like that at all. Secondly, I found the place to be dirty comparing to where I usually get my nails done. I don't mind paying $20 more for my nails when I know the place is spotless and and I won't be under risk of catching any fungal infections. But knowing I was in a rush, I told myself that was ok. So I went under the dyer to dry my nails. This was close to 7pm their closing time. I realized after 5 minutes when I looked at my nails that 3 of them were spilling out, and poorly painted. So I politely asked if one of them could come fix my nails. "Very quick" woman came rumbling and mumbling in whatever language she was speaking. She did my left hand. When I pointed to the other finger on my right. She did it so quickly while she was talking in her language (probably cursing). She took the polish off, AND she wanted to directly apply nail polish WITHOUT applying some base coat on. When I asked her if she going to apply any base coast, she STORMED OFF while yelling in her language, and another woman came to finish my nail. It was the rudest service I've ever encountered at nail spas. I told her how rude she was afterwards and said how I deserve and expect to get good service worth my money. She told me I complained! Seriously, don't ever go this filthy place. I should have known by its emptiness. I warned and told them that I'll be writing a review- so here you go. To the other two women who apologized, thank you. Tell that ugly behavioral woman that businesses in United States do not work like that. She should take that behavior to whatever third world country she came from. Read Less

Worst manicure I've ever received. I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to have a bad day, as I myself work in the service industry. Unfortunately, this nail salon had more than an attitude problem because the manicure I received is the worst I've ever gotten. I called the day before and made an appointment and asked what time they would prefer me to come in. So the following day I went in on their preferred time, yet they did not seem happy. I was the first customer and they definitely were not prepared for me. The woman seemed angry that she had to work on me and made it clear that she didn't want to. She didn't file or cut my nails and my gel manicure didn't even last FOUR DAYS. I am one of those regulars who gets a gel manicure every two weeks, so this was completely unacceptable. To be fair, the woman working at the booth next to me seemed very nice and was not rushing through her customer whatsoever. Maybe it was just my woman, but I wouldn't take the risk because the manicure was horrible and a huge waste of money. I won't even go back to get a free redo because I would rather pay to get a job well done. And because I work in the service industry and I believe in karma, I still gave her a nice tip. So maybe that will change her spirits. Read Less

The only reason I came here is because I was under the impression that this place was actually cheap (the one $ sign....)... but no. This place is insanely expensive just like any other place in Wellesley...That is beside the point. I asked for simple gel, and the job was done way too quick. The woman doing my nails didn't give much detail to how the polish was going, so surprisingly, almost all my the polish is sloppy slapped over mu cuticles. Not to mention, there is basically no color to select from. If you're going to be spending THIS much money, might as well do somewhere else. Read Less

Got a gel mani by Ivy.  She's awesome.  Took her time and did a really thorough job start to finish.  I'm super picky when it comes to the paint job so I always expect to leave a new nail place nit picking all the imperfections but she was a perfectionist and I couldn't find a single flaw!!!  I leave most places looking like I have a week's worth of growth already but her polish is to every edge and not a single bubble under the polish.  I highly recommend her as a tech.     The price was $28 so pretty standard compared to other places. This place was a total and all inclusive waste of time, money, and other valuable resources.I called twice (two days apart...I had family in town, so I wanted to be totally certain of my schedule before I booked a time.) and verified that the salon provided the service I wanted. I wanted tips applied,  with UV gel for the fill. The man who answered both times assured me, in detail, that they did.I arrived on time, was seated, and prep work began...with not even bothering to work on my cuticles.Tips that were to large were applied...without all areas being attached to my natural nail. I found this out when I had an actual professional correct the mistakes and outright negligence made. They charged my credit card at this time. And then...Out came what I was told was a "gel prep". It was acrylic.I asked a few times if it was acrylic, and made clear that if it was acrylic, I did not wish to continue.I was told again that it was a "gel prep".They filled the nail with the acrylic, and did not properly buff it to make it smooth and laying evenly over the tips. They applied a gel overlay. It had bubbles and lint in it.They also applied the acrylic that they were still insisting was "gel prep" poorly so that bubbles in the fill were very obvious to the naked eye.I complained.I was first told that the bubbles were flaws in my natural nails. When I didn't swallow that whopper, they then said I was imagining it.I asked another woman in the salon. She saw what I saw. They then admitted that the "gel prep" was acrylic. I was furious, but still willing to try to work out the problem. They only offered to fix one nail, and when I pointed out how dissatisfied I was with that solution, they said I could have the nails off if I waited for the salon to clear.I pointed out that I could not just sit and wait for their convenience, and required more immediate remedies for the problems with their work. The owner stated, in an aggressive and insulting manner, that all he would do was reimburse me for the costs I might incur if I went elsewhere to correct the awful job put out by his shop...and that I needed to return with the receipt from the other salon by the next day. In essence saying that I needed to find another salon and have the work completed that same day!  He would not reverse the charge to my credit card because he "doesn't work for free".Needless to say I was angry, but went on to find another nail salon to fix it and (obviously) at additional costs, because before anybody could do what was  messed up by the people at this lousy salon.I did find another salon (please look at the GLOWING review I gave of them) willing to see me that day, and had exactly what was needed done in record time. The very next morning, as I had been told to do, I returned to this shop with detailed receipts in hand from the wonderful other shop, and was informed that not only was the owner not there, but that nobody there had been made aware of the problem that had occurred the previous day. The acting store manager (or at least that is what I understood her role to be) insisted upon calling the owner on her cell phone and having me speak to him.He immediately started screaming at me and demanded that I not only leave the receipts but also contact information for the other nail salon so that he could speak to the technician who had corrected the horrible job done at his salon.I calmly responded that I was no longer willing to work things out with him, and that I was simply going to reverse the charges on my credit card.At that point I left the store.I will never return there without an attorney and a police officer present for my protection, and I suggest that you do not go there either.Ever. The point: Long lasting manicures, excellent service I go to Wellesley College and have been looking for a manicure place nearby. I guess because I'm from the land where manicures are a form of art, where every single color in the world is available (pastels, neons, ultra glitters and everything in between) and it's an hour + process, I have to say I have extremely high expectations. So when the nail salons that were walking distance from school a huge disappointment in skill, color selection, and service, I turned to yelp to find another place. I discovered Four Season last semester and have been going once a week every week since, and not even because I have to. Oh yeah another thing about this place... I don't know what it is but their manicures last for a really long time! I'm a "manicure picker" and pick a lot at the polish after a couple of days, mostly because I see the edges kind of lifting up and so I'll pull at it (such an oddly satisfying feeling...) but the manicures I get from here take way more than typical effort to try and pull off the polish...meaning if you're a normal person like my friend your manicure will be perfect for 2 weeks+ no joke! Their color selection isn't AMAZING but it's definitely a lot more diverse than other places, and the women + Tan (I think he's the owner) do an excellent job. But out of everyone I think Tan is the best! If he's around and available then I highly recommend him, but fair warning he takes a little longer than others because he seems to be somewhat of a perfectionist. I'm going to miss this place so much after I graduate. Read Less

The manicurist was clumsy, she took twice as long as she should have, my nails are already peeling, She cut my toe when attempting to take off the cuticle, which she did very badly. She did not massage my hands and feet and she did not clean up the cuticles. She kept trying to remove the messy polish because she could not put it on properly.

Read Less

I just spent $35 and a tip, although I don't know why I gave a tip, for the worst manicure and pedicure I have ever had. The polish is in layers that are peeling off. Even though this salon is across the street from my office building, I will never go there again. Please stay away. Read Less
