I've been going to Butterflies since it opened in Paragon Arcade, since then I have never been to any other salon. I have my nails done every 2/3 weeks. I have had lots if treatments including pedicures, facials, Indian head massages, eyebrows threaded and party lashes all treatments have been highly enjoyable and professionally carried out. I can't recommend this salon and its staff highly enough. I never leave disappointed and always have a good laugh with the girls. I love this place so so much! the lady there did a MAGNIFICENT job and by that I mean superb. I've almost given up on acrylics now as I always get shitty ones done for such high prices or ones that fall off, but the lady who did mine at BB was superb and super talented. I've had them for 3 weeks now and they are still intact and have not fallen off, despite the fact that I even played volleyball with 1.5 in. long nails within the first week after I got them done LOLZ, and they have not moved or peeled or cracked, and that says alot as I am a very careless person and they should have broke by now. My nails were super natural too and I got loads of compliments. Would be heading back this sunday for a fill in or a change. And the best part is that they were only $60!!! I am on holiday from America visiting in-laws and decided to get my nails done and a new set of eyelashes. I am sorry to share this little tidbit but I don't know the young ladies' names that did these things for me. What I can tell you is they are very engaging. The work they have done for me is beautiful! Very talented! I frequent the area every year so I will be returning every year for a fresh look. Gutted about my nails after hearing so many good things about Butterfly. This is my new set from 10 days ago. After a couple of days crystals feel off and took the gel with it. Then they started to lift going top heavy. This morning one came off so I rang the salon for advice and I was shocked to hear there solution would be to pay for infill next week. I am always greeted warmly by Anne and Andy. They recently redecorated and updated the nail salon which is nice & clean. The pedicure chairs have the best massage functions/deep tissue in all of Wellesley. Can be busy for walk-ins, there could be a minor wait- calling first for an appointment has never failed me. I used to go to BB when I was home for the holidays with my mom. Without fail my manicure or pedicure would be finished 10 to 15 minutes before my mom's. The manicurists always seemed very unhappy and annoyed. And the worst part is they don't even do a good polish job, I either had bubbles or polish on my cuticles. Read Less

Even when I made an appointment I would have to wait and they often gave completely inaccurate wait time. I would wait for awhile, waste my time and then have to leave without getting my nails done. They often started doing a rush job, my nails would chip the next day. They also brought in an inexperienced technician that was completely horrible. My nails were completely rough and uneven at the ends. It started not seem that clean either. In the end, they aren't that cheap and I was disappointed every time. I stopped coming here and now get my nails done in Boston for less and am never disappointed! Read Less

Im sorry to hear this other customer had such a bad experiance...but I have been going to BB's for several years, and have had a great experiance every single time! (Never have seen skin in the foot tub) The work areas are clean and the process is never changed. The staff is very friendly and talkative, as well as professional. I am filing a complaint with the Board of Health. There was dead skin floating in the foot bath as soon as it was filled (plain water, no soap). I commented and was told that it was from MY calluses! My feet had been in the water for about 10 seconds....I had the water drained, the tub was filling again, and same thing....I skipped the soak and had a fast pedicure instead. I had a 3:30 appt. with a friend a this "spa" which was a 20x20 hole in the wall that ended up being over booked!We had Mani/Pedi appointments and when I sat down on my massage chair after waiting 20 minutes I was upset to learn that it was broken?!?! Well,  isn't that a major part of the whole pedicure experience? So I said to the woman- " Do you think I could go sit on that chair?" and she replied... "No, No , No.... This one okay" I said " No, realy I dont want a broken chair may I please take that one on the other side of my friend?".... Well any way a woman comes waltzing in the door (rushed looking) "do you have time for a pedicure?" she says  "yes, yes they reply, come sit here....IN THE CHAIR I WANTED NEXT TO MY FRIEND WHOM I HAD AN APPT. WITH!!!!So, without making a big deal I followed the nail tech over to do my manicure. WELL, this is another story... So I am sitting down looking over at my friend upset that we wont get to talk over our mani/pedi appt. and the nail tech is working on my hand  then her cell phone rings and SHE ANSWERS IT!!!! and talks for 3 minutes- then half way through one hand a 4:15 appt walks in and she starts another manicure right next to me. So, she is working on the both of us at once!!! Can you believe this???I am sorry, but I am a great customer and a believer in giving people second chances , but these people really didn't do the job well...not even right!!!I chose this place because of the cheap price of a mani/pedi combo ($34) well, CHEAP THINGS AREN'T GOOD AND GOOD THINGS AREN'T CHEAP...AND YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, AND I DEFINITELY DID!
