I recently came in for Intraceuticals oxygen facial and I was instantly blown away with how beautiful the spa was with a stunning ocean front view. The owner Amy and the entire staff are so friendly and incredibly seasoned. After receiving a warm welcome I was served tea and snacks. I felt as though I was being welcomed into someone's home with the most gracious hostess I've ever encountered in my life. When I received a tour I was in awe of the advanced technology, top o...f the line products, and design of this place. Their nook for pedicures is every ladies dream. A comfortable bench with plus pillows and it was sparkly clean. I was then guided into my room for my facial. The design of this place is genius with two floors. The loft area is far away from the hair station thus allowing a quiet and serene setting to relax. The room was dimly lit, smelled of lavender and the only noise was the sound of relaxing ocean waves crashing. Between all of that the warm bed and Tracey's gentle touch, I could have easily fallen asleep. Although I'm glad I didn't as my esthetician, Tracey Lively is someone who has exceptional knowledge and was able to explain step by step what she was doing and how each aspect would increase the overall appearance of my complexion. After it was completed I was so excited to see instant and dramatic results. This facial is superior to all the others and the results include hydrated skin that is plumped up with increased firmness and reduction of fine lines. I went in here for a project I had to do for esthetician school. I walked in and I was immediately greeted by the front desk staff. I needed a brochure for my project but they didn't have any of hand, so the receptionist was nice enough to print one out for me from their website. Jackie is one of the Hairstylist and she is Amazing! Where do I begin? The overly aggressive owner, the inconsistent services, or the less than professional staff? The space is lovely but unfortunately the services and staff do not match the space....not so shiny and bright. The owner is too aggressive and pushes invasive cosmetic product that is inappropriate given no inquiry of the same. The services were poor in that the manicures fell apart within days ( my manicurist left repeatedly to take calls)....nothing relaxing or spa oriented. Last, my daughter had a hair cut, just a trim and it turned out horribly.......no skilled stylists in this place. DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE!!! I tried out Luxe for a massage today and the place is gorgeous and owner are very friendly. Mike is the massage therapist and he was running late and 15 mins into the massage his phone rang which was a music tone. Not only did that happen but he texted messaged the person and then few mins later asks me if I'm still with him, I say yeah, are you? Massage was ok I felt like I got mostly oil rubbed all over me. I also counted, 9 warm and dry towels were used during my 50 min massage. A little excessive and unnecessary. I wouldn't recommend a massage here but for the Salon services I would check it out. Prices are high but Amy the owner was kind enough to give me 20% off my Massage after I told her what happened. Read Less

Bethany Amos is an amazing hair stylist!! I never thought my thin unhealthy hair with tons of breakage would have ever been repairable. Bethany worked her magic and now my hair is healthier than ever!!! She did the Brazilian blowout and opalex treatment which I am still in aww over it and it's been a week! My morning routine is so much easier .. It's like a dream come true to not have to blow dry and flat iron my hair everyday. The owner and an employee got in a fight about 5 feet from me as I was getting my nails done. They were (sort of) trying to avoid yelling, but I'm talking an intense, catty argument that went on for several minutes. I later found out they're sisters, which makes sense given the way they were arguing, but doesn't make it any less unprofessional. Bethany was an amazing stylist, and the other stylists seemed friendly and talented too, but the management of this place is a disaster. Luckily Bethany has since moved to Twisted Elegance. I was a bit disappointed, I bought a Mani pedi Groupon that indicated at time of service I could upgrade to a shellac for $10. more.   Since it was my birthday I decided I would treat myself.  Well I was immediately told no, she didn't have time. ( why would it state at time of service you may upgrade if its a time issue,).  First was the pedi, they had you sit on a raised bench with pillows, the water to put my feet in was in a big bowl and she had to heat more water. (You would think for the money they charge, they would have nicer more comfortable, relaxing set up). The girl that provided the service was awesome, very professional.  The nice part was that polish on my fingernails lasted over two weeks, and I work on a computer typing all day! Read Less

Bought a Groupon for a mani pedi. It also gave me an option to upgrade to shellac when I got there so that was the plan. The place is so beautiful but I wish they put more effort into their actual services than decorating the place. The pedi was done in a big bowl, not really what I expected from a spa that claims to be upscale. During my pedi, the owner came and sat by me to try to sell me a treatment where I'd have to inject my face with some chemicals to give me perfect skin. I take great care of my skin and I don't need all that. I kept asking her what exactly was in the solution that she'd be injecting and she couldn't even answer the question. Also her face legit looked like plastic. Definitely not the look I'm going for so I declined. Pedicure was done and it looked like I painted it myself. Sigh. We went over to the manicure station for the shellac. It was awful. I don't think the lady had ever done one before, let alone a regular manicure. It looked like a child painted my nails. Edges not covered and the paint wasn't smooth at all. She claimed that the polish was too thick. It wasn't. Then I explained to her about the jagged edges. She offered to fix them but as soon as she tried to make one better, it looked much worse. At this point I was there for almost THREE HOURS. Told her to stop and left. 10/10 would NEVER go back to this place. It's a shame... The place is beautiful. Read Less

Maura was amazing. I went in for a microdermabrasion and spray tan on Saturday. It has almost been a week now and my spray tan is still here and i look amazing! Facial was decent at best. Overall, the place is too sales-y. They have all these ads all over the place for stuff they want you to have done. And, after the facial they have about $300 worth if products they "suggest" / i.e. - want you to buy and when you decline look at you funny. I want to go to a spa to relax - and not feel pressured into buying stuff. Not to mention, the place isn't even that nice. I'll make the trek into Boston next time. Worth the drive! Read Less

I came here for eyelash extensions after going to a place in Newburyport.  I'd had some really bad experiences in the past so I was a little nervous at first.  When I walked in I was greeted by the owner and staff.  The spa is gorgeous and very well kept. I spoke to the lash artist about what I wanted.  As a lash artist myself I knew they were using the most high-end products, which set my mind at ease.I've already booked my next lash appointment and cannot wait to go back!  I'm not sure what the other reviews were about, but this place is definitely great for lash extensions! First off, let me just say that I have no other affiliation with Luxebeautique, I'm just a customer, so yelp - if you feel the need to contact me to verify, please do so. I purchased a Groupon back in May (2011) for a full set of eyelash extensions and immediately booked my appointment. The staff was friendly and they worked around my crazy schedule to book the appointment. When I tell you that I had the worst, fine and truly unworkable lashes to place extensions on, I'm NOT over reacting! After years of putting fake lashes on myself, I had destroyed them and Amy (the owner)STILL took the challenge of placing a full set on my lashes. A little over an hour later, I opened my eyes to see a gorgeous set of lash extensions. Amy recommended the lash curler for my lashes because (despite what the user below states) it IS recommended - the curler actually helps the new lash growth form to the rest of the lashes. She also recommended the "Revita-lash" which has substancially doubled the amount of my own lashes! The staff and owner here are incredibly friendly, work hard to get your appointment placed around your schedule and have an amazing amount of services provided  all in one spa. It's been seven months since I've had my first visit to Luxe for my lashes and I look forward to my monthly appointments for lash fills with Amy! Read Less

I admit I can't remember the esthetician's name, but I was at Luxe for a full leg wax w/ bikini and must say I was a bit underwhelmed by what I got for the $95. The room was hot, apparently not airconditioned like the rest of the salon, and really stuffy. The girl wasn't into idle chatter at all, which made me feel kind of unwelcome and awkward. And for $95, she wasn't very thorough. Much of my thighs were left unwaxed and the bikini wax didn't clean up as much as I would have liked. I definitely couldn't wear a bathing suit afterwards with any degree of confidence.Eh. I won't be back. Read Less
