This was the worst nail experience i have ever had. To start off when we arrived there was only one person there and they were sitting on the couch sprawled out with their laptop on. My friend went first and i had to wait for 20 minutes for the owner Susan to arrive and do my nails. During both our manicures they both answered phones calls, which i see as very rude. The worst part of the experience for me though was probably the fact that she filed off my entire nail. I had very long nails and when she asked me about the length i said a bit shorter. She cut them to the perfect length but when she started filing she didn't stop until she got down to my skin, by the time i noticed it was too late and she was already on the the second nail. Finally i would like to say that i have no idea where all of these amazing reviews are coming from and i am quite convinced that they have been bought or written by workers them selves because this is ridiculous. i am NEVER returning. I have been going to Susan since before she had her own shop. Why? Because not only does she give a fine manicure (and pedicure, etc.) but the ambience is just right--low key, fun, friendly--in short an enjoyable experience. I would say this is really a 4.5 rating. Read Less

I was very disappointed in the service I received here. My nails have done nothing but peel and split since my one and only manicure at this salonThe young manicurist repaired two nails which broke completely the very next day and, when I returned to my regular salon, I was told that the treatment I received at Susan's had completely dried out my nailsand resulted in the current problems. My mom and I called ahead for 2 manicures on a Tuesday. They said they could accommodate us at 3:30. When we arrived, there was one manicurist working, and she was giving an elderly man a pedicure. This would have been OK, but what happened next was just disgusting.We picked our colors and the woman told us to take a seat at the two manicure tables. We did so and both of us noticed that the tables were very dirty. There were clipped nails and filthy towels.Next, the manicurist came over to start taking off my gel polish. She began ripping pieces of cotton and foil for me and I immediately noticed she hadn't taken her gloves off that she had been using for the man's pedicure! I asked her to please wash her hands, and she apologized and went to go do so, but left all of the cotton and foil on the table. By that time I was sufficiently disgusted and my mom and I decided to leave.I would seriously recommend against going to this nail salon. We ended up at Tip Tech Nail Studio and were very happy.Susan's practices are clearly in violation of sanitary standards, and probably also the law. Read Less

I booked a group appointment at Susan's for myself and my family to have mani-pedis a few days before my wedding. The salon was AWESOME and my pedicure (and half of my manicure) is still in tact, 2 weeks and a beach honeymoon later!Here are some highlights:-Susan called in extra help and stayed open late to accomodate us. We also got the thumbs up to bring in our own 'celebratory beverages'  in honor of wedding week! We definitely got the royal treatment : )-The salon is extremely clean-There are comfy couches, and coffee/tea/water while you wait for your nails to dry!-the massage chairs are to die for. not kidding.-as I mentioned, my manicure and pedicure lasted through a beach honeymoon, which is quite a feat. Susan added a few layers of clear polish and sealer to preserve it!-I even ended up requesting my married name written on my toenails- it started as a joke, then my pedicurist said she could and would do it- and it came out great! If you need a mani-pedi in the Sudbury area, get to Susan's! Read Less
