I can't speak more highly about Luxury Nail Bar! I have been going to the owner of this salon for a total of about 8 years. First, where she previously worked and now here at her own salon! The salon atmosphere is relaxing and always clean. The receptionist is always very welcoming and all the workers are very friendly. I'm really picky about my manicure and pedicure, I use to get only regular manicures due to my nail beds the polish usually lasts me two weeks, I'm also particular with my pedicure which is mostly important to me since I'm on my feet a lot. I just moved to Boston a little over a year I went to one nail salon in East Boston and moved to Chelsea I shop in the mall all the time and when I was looking for another nail salon I found this one which surprised me that it was near by. I was getting gel because I wanted my nail polish to last long but I've always hated them because I knew they were damaging my nails I never got gel religiously until I moved here I've been coming to this nail salon for about a year now and I met Phoung a few months after coming in, and she introduced me to Dip Powder and I will never go back to anything else. My manicure lasts me weeks! Literally over a month, and the way my pedicure is done is exactly how I feel pedicures should be. I've never had such an amazing experience and in LA I went to one nail salon for years for a simple mani and pedi and occasionally would try other places my friends loved to go but never liked them. Shop is really nice and clean with a very friendly staff. I went in once for a nail repair and decided to come back again since I was in town for a full nail service. I'm a flight attendant so having a good nail spa on the go is a plus. I came in for gel polish removal and SNS dip powder application. I am very particular when it comes to taking off previous work... I felt like the lady doing my nails was really nice but was a little rough and impatient taking off the gel I felt like it could have soaked longer. Was very excited to get a pedicure here for the first time. The staff was very friendly and the place is nice. That night my toe started swelling up and come to realize that it is infected. I went for an acrylic fill/polish change and pedicure a little over a week ago. After the 20% off for it being my first time there, I spent $75 total ($40 for the pedicure with gel polish and $35 for the acrylic fill with gel polish). Total time there was approx 2 hours and I had an appointment. I waited about 10min after arriving and I was a little early. The polish selection is large and I think they predominantly carry OPI gel. I didn't pay attention to the non-gel selection because I don't get regular polish. The pedicure was decent but nothing special. The foot massage especially could have been much better.  The tech doing my pedicure looked like wanted to be anywhere but there though she was polite to me. I would probably return for a pedicure. The acrylic fill/manicure was a mixed experience. The nail surface was smooth and the nail shaping was even but she argued with me when I showed her a picture of the nail shaping I liked (basically a short and slightly rounded "stilleto" shape. Round but still pointy.) She said, "that's what it looks like to me." Okay then. 3 days after my manicure, the polish began to peel. A friend of mine says the peeling was due to the edges not being "sealed" correctly. I was out of town so unfortunately I was stuck with a janky manicure. Also, on 3 nails the acrylic and my real nail were separated and today the acrylic actually snapped off of one of my fingers. I MAYBE would go back for an acrylic manicure here but only if it was with a different tech. I could have called to see if they would fix it but I just peeled the gel off myself (which was surprisingly easy-- another red flag IMO) and repainted it at home. Read Less

My daughter and I visited 9 days ago for gel nails and eyebrowax and tint. Both treatments are still looking outstanding without one single chip or stray hair!. Have been here a handful of times for pedicures and gel manicures. They take their time, pay attention to detail, the salon is clean, and the staff is friendly. The BEST in the area, hands down! My only suggestion is to make an appointment when you can, they get booked up, which makes sense considering they do such a great job! They are also a bit more expensive but WORTH the money. I stumbled upon this place due to Yelp when searching for a salon that offers SNS closer to home. I read some of the reviews and became interested. I was able to schedule a same day appointment and was promptly attended to upon arrival. Tee was the person to work on my nails and she did such an amazing job, did not rush (which I loved because that means she cared about doing it right), and even did a massage at the end free of charge! She also made sure my daughter was watched while her nails dried (as hers were done sooner than mine) and gave her a treat towards the end. This is my first time here since they changed ownership when it was Duong's Nail Salon. The decor has stayed the same and it looks like the nail techs are still the same as well.I really do love this place. The place itself is luxurious and the prices are to match; it's more expensive than some of the other nail salons I've been to for example a regular manicure is $18. I came here because I wanted to try SNS nails. I had no idea what is was but after seeing the pictures on yelp and looking at Youtube, I knew I wanted to try it. It seems to be longer lasting and better for you than Gel/Shellac.I came in and didn't have to wait at all, it wasn't empty though there were already a good amount of people getting services done. I wanted to do SNS manicure and a regular pedicure. I also wanted something that would match and luckily they had a brand that had powder colors and matching regular nail polishes. My nail tech, I believe her name was Linda, was really great. She did my pedicure and took her time, gave me a nice scrub, and it came out looking nice. For my SNS manicure, I had no idea how time intensive it is, so if you're getting it done, expect to be there for some time. It involves a lot of steps but at the end, I am in love with my nails! They are attentive, never rushing you and they thoroughly execute their services. You get what you pay for. By that, the prices are definitely more than other area salons, but the service is also better than at other area salons. I walked in on a Sunday around 1pm and was taken right away for a pedicure, gel soak off and gel manicure. Their pedicure chairs are very comfortable and the overall service was very relaxing and detailed. The girl who gave my pedicure paid very close attention to what she was doing and the scrub/massage were VERY thorough. Unfortunately, she passed me to someone else for my manicure because someone came in requesting her, but my substitute did an awesome job (sorry, I should have gotten names!). She did a great job with my messy cuticles and the shape of my nails are perfect. She was also patient with me while I flip-flopped on color choices and helped me make a decision! This place used to be Duong Nails, but ownership changed recently, so although it looks exactly the same, the service seems a lot better. The prices do feel high ($56 for pedi, mani, soak-off, including a new customer discount), but I don't mind paying that much when the staff are friendly, attentive and detail-oriented.
