My daughter and I went to this nail shop (won't really characterize it as a salon). My daughter had a pedicure and it was fine (hence the one star), but I went for pink and white acrylic fill. First of all, the technician (who may be the owner) was really abrupt wth me, kind of arguing about how to do my nails. I was very clear I wanted pink and white with clear gel polish. At one point in the back-and-forth, I was like "Ummm maybe we shouldn't do this today." She was like "no, no, no, it's fine." So she was really rough with my hands and nails. She wanted to use a nail clip to shorten them, and I was like... no just file them. In fact, she while she was using the drill, she hit my skin on multiple fingers and I have burns on the side of one thumb and under the nail on my middle finger, which still hurt and I've had to use Neosporin on. She then did the white first (never have I ever had any technician do that), the result being uneven and blurry white lines. She also used a very old light system, which got super hot. The condition of the shop was deplorable, very dirty, with a young child running around and another male technician sleeping in one of the chairs. To top it off, she said "Cash only." I really wish she would have told me that ahead of time, it is just unprofessional not to (nor were there any signs requiring that). I really know that is to not report all business income for tax purposes - which is super shady. I have never gone to a nail salon that was so dirty and horrendous. I cannot say this enough: AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS. I am hoping that I am not getting an infection on my thumb.

Do a really mediocre job on pedicures--barely push back the cuticles, not a lot of the "usual" that you outsource for a pedicure. Also, they only take cash but that is not posted anywhere I could plainly see nor was on the website. Would not go back.

I love going there. I go there at least 1 or 2 times when I am home for a college break. Mandy is so nice and it is a really nice relaxing place to go. I go with my mom and we always have a nice time.

I'm sorry to say, but this was one of the worst places I've been to in a long time. I'm amazed my nails aren't more damaged by the method they use to remove gel (quick soak and then prying up gel with cutters). The kid on the video game was right there and I found it just barely tolerable as staff are not friendly and welcoming at all. It's too bad since I live close by, I would have loved to have a place like this for its location. I'll just keep driving to Exit 9 and go to California Nails where they do awesome stuff.

Keep your money! Not very friendly, very fast and not a good experience at all. Owner had a child that played loud video games the entire time. Woman working on me massaged one leg, took a phone call, then returned to me and never touched my other leg. Not a great polish job. Was worried that the the equipment was not cleaned properly.

I have no idea why there are so many bad reviews for this place. I was a bit overcast today so I thought getting a pedicure would be a nice thing to do instead of the beach. But I called around 4 others nail salons which were either booked for the rest of the day or closed. When I called Elegant Nails, they got me in right away, even when we walked in 10 minutes early. The color selection was decent and my nails look great. My only complaint was that it seemed like a family business and there were a bunch of people just kind of sitting around in the chairs next to us while we were getting our pedicures. Overall though it was a pretty good experience. Not the best nail salon I've ever been to but it did the job.

Despite taking my daughter mom and me without an appointment on a rainy Tuesday, our experience was less than desirable. It was expensive ($20 for polish for my 3 year old), dirty (they quickly brushed the tools with solvent and used them on the next customer), and rude (Yelling at a 3 year old to stay still - after telling her the polish didn't have to be perfect was unacceptable). They rushed and were so impolite. I will not be returning.

I have been to this nail salon many times.Lately I notice it is dirty and the wait time is longer. The people are ruder and I am guessing they have new management. I was actively disappointed by the was they treated my daughter yesterday-a pretty young woman came in and the guy doing my daughter's nails left her and started working on the other person-I was mystified, and asked if he was going to finish-he said no, someone else would get to her soon.I will get my pedi somewhere else next time.

The "salon" was dirty and I looked high and low for any kind of sanitizing machine for their equipment. All they had was a cup filled with the blue liquid. They charged me $37 for a manicure and pedicure and my 11 year old daughter was $35. Highway robbery for the quality of their service, The man poured nail polish remover into the bottle of nail polish he was using for my pedicure right in front of me. He also picked up a used washcloth and poured nail polish remover onto it for my nails. The icing on the cake was when I went to dispose of the foam flip flops and toe separators he stopped me and told me to put them in the basket next to the nail dryers. Gross. I went home and showered.I live in Westchester County NY and I have never paid this much for a mani pedi and any facility I have gone to is 100x nicer, cleaner and overall better.

Found this place last minute when 3 of us needed manicures. It was 6pm on a Wednesday and most salons were closed. We called and they immediately agreed to take us and 2 people worked very efficiently...
Found this place last minute when 3 of us needed manicures. It was 6pm on a Wednesday and most salons were closed. We called and they immediately agreed to take us and 2 people worked very efficiently! It worked out well since we needed to get home for dinner. I was surprised by the detail and good job they did with my shellac too. $5 to remove the old gel and $25 for new application. $14 for the manicures!

This is the worst nail salon I have ever been to in my life! Went to get mani/pedi prior to my wedding. The water was ice cold in the pedi bath and they would not add more hot water. Then the lady cut my cuticle toe and made it bled. Then everyone's polish started bubbling (I have heard this is because the salon waters down the polish with acetone). We all had to get our nails redone multiple times and the people were not accomidating at all! They were actually very rude. Took no money off of our totaly- 4 cost $160! I think these people rely on a lot of tourists who come in once and they don't feel the need to impress. I have heard that the other place in Orleans is much better!

My daughter and I went to this nail shop (won't really characterize it as a salon). My daughter had a pedicure and it was fine (hence the one star), but I went for pink and white acrylic fill. I'm sorry to say, but this was one of the worst places I've been to in a long time. I'm amazed my nails aren't more damaged by the method they use to remove gel (quick soak and then prying up gel with cutters). The kid on the video game was right there and I found it just barely tolerable as staff are not friendly and welcoming at all. I have no idea why there are so many bad reviews for this place. I was a bit overcast today so I thought getting a pedicure would be a nice thing to do instead of the beach. But I called around 4 others nail salons which were either booked for the rest of the day or closed. When I called Elegant Nails, they got me in right away, even when we walked in 10 minutes early. The color selection was decent and my nails look great. My only complaint was that it seemed like a family business and there were a bunch of people just kind of sitting around in the chairs next to us while we were getting our pedicures. Overall though it was a pretty good experience. Not the best nail salon I've ever been to but it did the job.

Despite taking my daughter mom and me without an appointment on a rainy Tuesday, our experience was less than desirable. It was expensive ($20 for polish for my 3 year old), dirty (they quickly brushed the tools with solvent and used them on the next customer), and rude (Yelling at a 3 year old to stay still - after telling her the polish didn't have to be perfect was unacceptable). The "salon" was dirty and I looked high and low for any kind of sanitizing machine for their equipment. All they had was a cup filled with the blue liquid. They charged me $37 for a manicure and pedicure and my 11 year old daughter was $35. Highway robbery for the quality of their service, The man poured nail polish remover into the bottle of nail polish he was using for my pedicure right in front of me. Found this place last minute when 3 of us needed manicures. It was 6pm on a Wednesday and most salons were closed. We called and they immediately agreed to take us and 2 people worked very efficiently! It worked out well since we needed to get home for dinner. Then the lady cut my cuticle toe and made it bled. Then everyone's polish started bubbling (I have heard this is because the salon waters down the polish with acetone).
