I love that they do the dip gel nails. Its hard to find a nail salon that knows what they are doing. My only suggestion would be if someone makes an appointment and they are very busy to let the customer know ahead of time. I have been here a few times. Today I decided to try dip on my nails for the first time. I usually get gel. My pedicure was good however my manicure was disastrous. First didn't pushed my cuticles back or give me any type of massage. Then my nails were cut down too short. My nails look horrible. Went when it wasn't busy but told it can be busy so always try for an appointment. Three people do many pedi brow so good to know that they can just stay with me instead of being passed around. Been here on three separate occasions and was impressed every time. Staff is very nice and manicure was beautiful every time. Decor is simple and modern. They have a TON of colors for the dip manicure. On holiday weekends they have a food and drink lay out. Expect this place to get busier once the business around it open. Read Less

This place was nice inside but the girl that did my nails didn't do a great job because my nails started peeling the same day after I showered. It's also expensive cus I went to get my nails done and feet they charged me $50 dollars and the job was bad. As a guy, I've visited many Solons to get my nails done and I always pay $30 dollars and tip the nails lady. I am only giving two stars because the place was clean but the service was terrible! I got my legs waxed there yesterday and was impressed with how gentle the process was considering someone is ripping hair off. I followed up with a really nice pedicure. There is a real emphasis on hygiene, (disposable plastic liners for the foot bath) a nice foot massage with the basic pedicure. I brought my own polish (Smith & Cult), but I noticed that they had OPI,  China Gaze, and I think Essie? ( I don't do gel)... They are interested in having a really large selection of colors and products for you to choose from. Prices are suburbia not city, so I chose the polish change rather than manicure for my hands as I can't have the cuticles done, so no massage there. They were really nice about staying after they were 'closed' to finish up and for appointments. I will go back! Read Less

Not a good experience here. My daughter and I went for pedicures. We walked in and chose colors and then 2 people walked in after us and were served first. Then I had the shortest massage ever....literally 20 seconds on each leg, while the women who were served before us had 10 minute massages. The nail tech kept getting up and leaving, like every 5 minutes! This was not only annoying but my pedicure took twice as long. I will never return here. So awful. Read Less

Beautiful place. The pedicure area is in the back of the salon with very comfortable seats and two large tv's to watch at either angle. I loved the fact that they use plastic liners in the foot tub that they replace after each customer. The technician really took her time and did a great job. Probably one of the best pedicures yet. After the pedicure I went to the front of the salon for my manicure. Again the nail tech took her time to make sure my nails looked great. I also love that they have the nail polish colors by number so you just tell them the number of the color you choose and they get the polish set in gel for your nails and the matching non gel for your toes. Which is great as many salons only have the color in gel and then you have to try and match the same color in non gel. I would highly recommend!! Read Less

I visited Lux Nails yesterday because I was overdue for a mani pedi and it was down the street from my house-super convenient! The place just opened about 2 weeks ago in the newly constructed Northborough Shopping center, excellent location so everything was newly built with all new equipments and design. First impression, really nicely designed, clean, simple yet elegant. I made an appt so I was quickly greeted and shown to the pedicure room. The staff helped me picked out my color and suggested trying the powder dip manicure for it's longer lasting and less likely to chip, which I needed. The pedicure was excellent, my lady Mya did a great job, making sure I was comfortable and satisfied. My manicure took some time because she wanted to be sure it came out perfectly! Care and attention were top notched! I ended up staying a little later than closing but the owners Eric and Anna were very accommodating and made sure my nails were dried before letting me leave! I decided to get my nails done for the first time in 2 years today and tried out Lux nails. First off, the salon is gorgeous inside and really clean. I was talking to one of the gentleman (I think he was the owner) about getting a pedicure and acrylics and he told me they do the dip powder nails. Because I work in a restaurant he thought they would be good for me since the color wouldn't chip or fade and they would add strength to my nails. His daughter (?) was with him and she helped me pick out my color for those. She was adorable and you could tell she was excited to be helping out😊 I got my pedicure first and it was awesome. They offered me a glass of sangria or a mimosa to enjoy and they really took the time to make sure I was relaxed. I was a little nervous about getting my pedicure, since the last one I had somewhere else was so awful, but my feet and toes look amazing! After my pedicure, I got my dip power nails. Lily was the technician and she was incredible! Seriously... when you go ask for Lily. I had so much fun chatting with her. It was also pretty neat to get the powder nails. They look and feel amazing!! They are so much lighter than acrylic... almost natural feeling, but just as strong as acrylics would be. They were a lot quicker to do too!! What a great experience I had today at Lux Nails of Northborough after a long commute. Light jazz music playing in the background while you soak in the design of this salon with high ceilings, spacious, fireplace while catching something on the tele.  There were soft, velvet like monogrammed towels to dry your hands with.  The finishing touches were tastefully done.While I was trying to decide on a color, the owner, Eric, mentioned a new process with gel nails where you do not use a UV light.  I was sold.  For those who have had radiation, may understand that it hurts to have your hands in the UV  for gel manicures.  I could not decide on a color for my nail and Eric brought out Mya to assist me.  She picked a great color that works with my skin tone.  Mya also took the time to explained the process  to me.  She has a calming voice  and is engaging.  My nails came out great!  What a great way to end a hectic day with a long commute.  I am looking forward to the next experience with them. The owners go above and beyond to make sure each customer is satisfied with their service and only purchase high quality products. They also offer waxing and eyelash extensions.
