I went here last Thursday so not even a week ago and one of my nails came off, without banging it or anything, it just lifted up. I thought it was a great shop as they were done reqlly quick and didnt take to long at all was really happy. Now because of that one nail ive had to take them all off with no trouble. Disappointed. Ok, so I'm not sure why this place has such bad reviews.  I got a spa pedicure here today, it's a Sunday and the place only had two other customers beside myself so I got pretty good solo attention.  She took her time, I got a wonderful hot towel treatment and overall it was a very positive experience.  It was a little pricy, for the area, but not terrible, $40.  The color selection is good and I love that they have Esse polishes.  This place is not, in my experience, what the other reviews are making it out to be. It is a small salon with a small staff, but they took their time and gave me a lovely, relaxing pedicure.  I would go back. Read Less

The experience I had there was the worst... the lady didn't pay attention at all, only thing she did was talk to they other ladies, in Chinese or something... I think her name is Rose... She was so harsh on my nails that they started bleeding and my nails were very awfully shaped... The nail polish I choose started to chip the day I got them done... Possibly the worst manicure I've ever had in my life. Didn't shape the way I asked (rounded short oval) repeatedly, I finally had to take the emery board and file off the sharp corners myself. No soaking before a half-hearted attempt to push back cuticles, almost no nipping of hangnails, polish quickly slapped on, thin coat on some nails and thickly glopped on others. 1 star is being generous. Here again after a week because all the polish peeled off. Have been sitting TWO hours. They have tripled booked themselves. Lady getting hers done now has been here since 9. It is now 1. And they keep telling walk ins.." come back in 15 mins." Everyone here is irate! No respect for their customers. AVOID THIS PLACE!!! I had my nails done yesterday for the first time. When, I rang last week, they told me the price of what I want to have done was £25 but when I was there it's gone up to £35.. They should give discounts to new customers . I ended up paying £39 in the end for having extra diamonds on 2 nails. It's quite pricey.. Read Less

I used to go here every month to get my nails done and was never dissapointed.Stopped going for a while because I never really went Into town so tried other nail bars and everyone I tried i was dissapointed with so I've come back to new york nails as it's the only one were I'm happy with my nails every time Read Less

Waited 45 minutes even with a reservation, she missed parts of my toes, my nails were bubbly and chipped within minutes of getting hope....worst mani/pedi I have ever revived and I would not go back.  Not to me to mention it was the least sanitary pedicure ever and the color selection was lacking. Eh. As far as I can tell it is my only option in North Adams for a pedicure - I can go to Williamstown or the Berkshire Mall, but if I want to stay local, this is what I've got. It's not the worst nail salon I've ever been to, but they certainly don't distinguish themselves in any positive way. The salon's decor is outdated and it feels dirty, although I don't think they are unsanitary. They don't have a great selection of colors and I don't think they are using great brands (they only have a few OPI and Essie colors, everything else is no-name brands I don't recognize.) They're friendly and my pedicures have been fine, although not outstanding. If I had other options they wouldn't be my first choice, but since they're the only game in town I appreciate their existence. Read Less
