OVERPRICED! This place tried to charge me $100 for Full Set.  I made an appoint to get my nails done for a wedding, and left without getting the manicure I wanted. When I sat down for the pedicure they gave me a list of pedicure options to pick from ranging in price from $50-$80. I had to  ask for just a regular pedicure that only cost $30. Visited this nail salon to have my sns powder manicure removed. They did a great job on the removal without damaging my nails or soaking them in acetone. I then had a regular polish manicure. It was ok but is chipping and looks a mess already and it's not even 24 hours later. Another plus is the massage given by Paul- awesome chair massage! I will go back and try them again despite being disappointed with my manicure. The 3 stars are for the gel nail removal and massage. Read Less

I just left there about an hour ago and was sadly disappointed. I had such high hopes because my sister in law really likes this place and I bought her a gift card here for her birthday as well. I figured I would deviate from my usual place in Cambridge which I love and try this one out. I didn't have an appointment so I appreciated them accommodating me. The girl I had did a very good job with the pedicure and manicure itself. I was disappointed that she never soaked my hands in water and went straight to cutting the cuticles without soaking or using cuticle softener. I thought that was maybe the practice there but both people on either side of me had their hands soaking.The main reason I am giving them 3 stars is the customer service. I felt like the staff was unfriendly, which would have been okay, I would have given them 4 stars still if it wasn't for what happened. They charged me an extra $10 to use their Essie Gel Couture polish which is not actually a gel polish. It's a regular polish that comes right off with nail polish remover, and no UV light required. The funniest part is I picked the color because I also own it, and bought it on sale at CVS. They charged me extra to use this, and the extra was more than the entire value of the polish itself. I felt uncomfortable by the entire experience, like my business was unwanted. I won't be returning, but I do give them credit for being technically skilled. The shoulder massage is also a bonus. (BTW, I still gave a 20% tip because my manicurist doesn't deserve to be punished for ridiculous rules). I wish I could have liked this place :(One last thing...I paid $75 for a French gel manicure and a regular pedi. I pay $48 for an amazing job at Gorgeous Nails in Cambridge. Read Less

love this place! great color options, customer service and amenities! the people who run this nail spa obviously invest and take care of the salon its customers. i also like that they take credit card (not AMEX) and you can tip on the receipt! this is by far my favorite place in the newton/waltham area! tip #1: the spa is located in a small strip mall near a tanning salon.tip #2: make a reservation! they usually can accommodate walk-ins but if you want to cut down on your wait time, reservations are the way to go. i've never been in there without other people there. I highly recommend this place. The gel manicure comes with a paraffin wax dip and a massage while you wait for it to set in. My favorite part is that everyone who works there is so nice. If you have an issue they go out of their way to fix it. I'll definitely be going there from now on. Read Less
