I had my nails done yesterday and they didn't really come out as I would've liked. The ombré I had came out horribly, my gems fell off within two hours and we were overcharged. My mother had her nails filed during a fill, they asked how much she wanted filed and she said she wanted a little shorter - she was charged $10 for that when filing is part of a fill. I was charged $10 for ombré on 4 nails when ombré is only $10 for both hands (should've been $4 for 4 nails if it's $10 for 10 nails) I was also charged $10 for just 4 holographic nails and another $10 for a couple gems. I also had to argue with the tech because my ombré was to be purple fading into WHITE, she used PINK for some reason and when I questioned her she said it was "OFF WHITE" and just kept going when I reminded her I only wanted purple and white. So moms gel fill came to $43 simply because they were filed down a bit, and my nails were $40 for a regular acrylic fill with a few gems, on 2 nails, galaxy holographic effect on 4 nails and $10 for ombré on 4 nails. For $43 my mother could've had a whole new full set! And so could I! I would be giving 1 star ⭐️ , HOWEVER.....I did go back today to show them how badly the ombré came out and how my gems came off within hours of leaving. The manager offered to fix them for free, which she did. BUT my nails ended up plain just the purple where my ombré was, i decided to have it plain because clearly the techs just don't know how to do ombré. I asked to have a design in place of the $10 I payed for ombré and I was told No. So, sadly, all I can give is 3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️. I was happy that the salon was willing to fix the nails but very dissatisfied that I wasn't offered credit or refund for the ombré nails since they were done horrible the first time and made to be just a plain color the second time. Basically I was made to pay for something I didn't get. Normally I would recommend this place, Tina is a very good tech and I recommend her to anybody - but this last visit changed my mind for the worst, sadly.Read Less

Got my nails done told pick a Polish they don't put the oil stuff on the nails wen done putting them on and filing them nails are sorta rough posh sucks the nail quality too I'm just numerous stuff plus DNT pay attention when using the thin metal file with machine busy looking at other stuff while trying to file Read Less

Absolutely horrible. Went for a full set and my nails were extremely short (after I specifically said I did not want them too short) and crooked. On top of it, when I went to go get them fixed the guy was very rude about it. He called my mother rude and charged me extra to fix it, on top of making me bleed meanwhile. AWFUL!! The employees there are rude and rip off their customers blind! I wanted gel false nails and they gave me acrylic nails with a gel top coat and charged me a premium price for gel nails, when I questioned them on how they gave me acrylic with gel polish they told me that this gel comes as a powder! Never leave reviews but went there today to get a fill and my nails look like absolute shit, on top of that I was charged 50$ for a FILL! Absolutely insane. I wouldn't mind if they looked good but every nail is crooked, not to mention different shapes. Looks like a 3 year old could have done a better job. Highly disappointed, I'll never go back. They rushed both the French pedicure & the shellac French manicure. When it came to the pedicure, he kept clipping the skin and it would hurt. I'd pull my foot and he looked at me like I had a problem. When it came to scrubbing my feet, he said it would be an extra $5 for the scrub. A couple days later and my feet look worse than they were. The shellac manicure looked fine from a far but the filing and cuticle job was terrible. The total some how came to $58.. I would never recommend this place or go back. Read Less

Went for a soothing mani pedi to celebrate the end of the school year. This place is NOT relaxing! Techs argued and yelled at each other the whole time. Intensity of scrubbing and filing increased to match rising tempers regardless of customer comfort.Edited to add:To make a bad experience worse, four days later I now have a fungal infection on my feet and an infected finger nail. I went for a pedicure was told it was going to cost $20.00. The man that works there said you want a message with pedicure for $5.00 more dollars said that would be o.k. Then he talked me into getting a french manicure after I have all ready pick a color out but I agree. Will never return to this salon and may pursue this further. My daughter and 2 friends went in to have nails and toes painted french manicure but each ended up with a full set and pedi. What should have cost $30-40 tops per kid was now $55 each and when the kids tried to say that wasn't what they wanted they were told it was okay and they would get a discount. These kids did not hv $ to pay that. One even had gems on her ring fingers that she doesn't like or want but he said... no worry i wont charge for it. This visit cost almost double what we were told on the phone. These people need to learn to understand the customers wants and do what they are asked not what THEY want and assume you have it to pay extra. Platinum Nails is usually a hit or miss when it comes to satisfaction. It can be inconsistent depending on who is doing your nails/eyebrows. I do have a favorite staff member (can't remember her name - I know awful) she's younger and she always does an excellent job. I've gotten a few pedicures over the years and I go about once a month to get my fingernails painted with acrylic polish. It's only $23 and lasts up to 21 days, definitely worth it over regular polish. They have a wide variety of colors to choose from and they are open until 7:30 everyday besides Sunday, last appointments start at 7. I would recommend this place to others but would warn them that not all the staff does great work. Read Less

They told me they could do designs and they ended up coming out horrible. I could tell the woman was not experienced with designs, but if that was the case she should of just said so. Okay - not horrible, not great. My experience with other salons is somewhat limited, but I definitely don't rave about this place. I've patronized several times in the past, mostly for pedicures before special occasions. One time, I visited for a manicure and was talked into a shellac. I'm not a girly-girl by any means, but I was getting married and wanted something to last through the wedding (the following day) and honeymoon (the next week). I'm guessing that I shouldn't have been able to peel off the shellac, a fingernail at a time, over the course of ny honeymoon.During my most recent visit, I went with some friends for pedicures. We were taken at the same time and had the same service - partway through the pedicure, a few women came in for artificial nails. Okay, whatever. I ended up waiting about 15 minutes for the others to be finished while the individual who had done my pedicure went to help the artificial-nails crowd. Not sure if this is common practice, but it was definitely remarked upon after leaving. For first-timers, just be aware that if you're looking for a salon where you'll be able to chat with the stylist the way you might at a hair salon while s/he cuts your hair? This is not the place to do that. I do feel badly saying that, but they chat amongst themselves, and the clients either chat with friends or remain quiet.I'd probably return when I'm in the area, but only because I'm not aware of a better salon that isn't a pricey spa! As others have said, inconsistent. The first time I went for a shellac manicure they did a very nice job and it lasted me close to three weeks! They have options between getting a "shellac manicure" and a "polish change" the polish change is just 15$ And it's quick, so it's nice when you don't need a full manicure and just want a quick shellac change. When I went to do this it was just "okay", wasn't as good as the first time and didn't last as long, but for 15 bucks I felt it was worth it. Then I went to a new place by my work that was 20$ for a shellac manicure instead of 22$ and they took over an hour to do my nails and the manicure came out great, so I went there a few times but found myself again at platinum when I didn't want to spend almost 2 hours at the salon and just wanted a quick polish change. I had to wait for a really long time, it was busy but I was okay with that. They assume to just file square down or "lazy" so I made sure to tell the gentleman not to file my nails square and he huffed and puffed and did a half hearted job at keeping the shape I had. Then he absolutely rushed my shellac. Figure at least 30 seconds to dry per coat per hand, both hands. He kept trying to take my hand out before it was dry but I know that leaves bubbles so I told him I wanted to let them stay they full time, to which he responded by making comments in a different language which makes you think he's complaining about me. So I leave, the next day a nail breaks and another chips so I go back. I told them the number of color I got the previous day. And the woman asked me what color bottle. How am I supposed to remember? So I find the color on the sample wheel to show her and she can't seem to find it. She finds what's "supposed" to be the color and opens it and it doesn't look right she puts a little on my nail and let's it dry and sees it doesn't match. She then filed my broken nail totally slanted and just left it. She looked at me and said "well what do you want me to do" So I asked her to file my nail straight and put a top coat. So I left with a filed down nail, and the chipped nail from before still has a chip.I guess you get what you pay for but everyone there was rude. All of my other nails have those "popped bubbles" from not letting them dry.  So I payed 15$ to walk around with chipped bubbly nails for two weeks until I go to my other salon. I'm disappointed. This place is very inconsistent.  First time I went it was fine.. last night... ya no.  The technician filed my nails lopsided and then huffed and puffed when I pointed it out and asked her to file them straight.  And when she was taking off my OPI gel she was so rough!  It was painful. And then the Shellac application was lopsided too!  I have lumpy nails.  Who wants to pay $25 for lumpy nails?  I go here only in an emergency. Read Less

At first, I loved this place. I went twice and had a great experience with one technician. The third time he was not available, so I just had my nails/brows done by someone else. After about 5 appointments, I realized this place lacks consistency (and even my original tech would have an "off" day) For one, each time I went my nails varied in thickness, neatness, and general durability. One technician removed my old acrylics with no regard to my personal comfort and I actually started bleeding under my natural nail. I have also had my eyebrows waxed at Platinum Nails and once again the experience varies. Don't get me wrong, no one at that place is a pro at waxing, but I have left feeling satisfied with the job. Until one of them burned me and I had blisters under my eyebrow, not to mention one of my eyebrows was higher than the other. I couldn't even get them fixed because I was too burned to get waxed somewhere else. Lastly, I do enjoy the 2 TVs, who does want to get entertained while they sit there? However, they show some movies that boarder inappropriate. One day there was a kid around age 6 with his mother and they picked an R rated horror movie with explicit sexual content. I enjoy a good R rated movie as much as the next person, but I find it ridiculous that a PAYING customer had to ask them to turn it off. When you work with the public you have to have an editing eye.
