I love it here!! I stumbled upon this nail salon when I was in the area and needed to get my nails done. I saw it had good reviews so I decided I would try it and am SO glad I did! It's by far the best gel manicure I've ever gotten. At 3 weeks it honestly still looks great! They even give you a complimentary shoulder massage after your manicure too!! How many places have you gone to that do that? I know none for me! The pedicures are great too! They take their time and do a very good job to clean up your feet not just paint them. The staff is extremely friendly as well, which makes all the difference. I just got my first pedicure and gel manicure at this place based on what other reviews had said.  I was on the lookout for a great new nail salon that wasn't an overpriced chain of nail salons.  This place was incredible.  The nail artists were meticulous and all of the equipment was super clean.  Upon entering this nail salon I was asked if I was like coffee or tea. I was not rushed in regards to which nail color to pick. After picking my nail color I experienced an AMAZING pedicure which included paraffin treatment and hot stone treatment all for the same price as a well known chain nail salon. I also booked a gel manicure and let me just say it was very detailed and it also included a paraffin wax treatment in the basic price. Also the nail artist did a design on my nails in which she carefully placed tiny nail decor dots one by one on each nail. All together an amazing experience. Both nail technicians were super sweet. I am pretty particular when it comes to my nails. I discovered this place a few months back and will never go anywhere else! I frequent this salon every 2-3 weeks to change my shellac. Everyone is so friendly and amazing at what they do!! I normally never write reviews but I felt so inclined after such a bad experience. I thought I would give this place a try after reading some positive reviews. The gel manicure started off fine but quickly went south. I hadn't had a manicure in quite a long time so my cuticles were in need of some real TLC. The girl who did my manicure pushed them so far back that when it came time to clip them there was nothing to cut. Also I found it strange that u don't soak your nails while she is working on the other hand. But maybe not every place does it the same. When it came time to paint them it was so rushed and I now have gel polish both clear and color all over my nails. After she was finished painting she took a nail file to get the excess paint off the sides and corners  which did not bode well. The only reason for my 2 Stars is because they do a paraffin wax and quick massage at the end of the manure. I for sure will not be returning even though by signing up for there rewards program I now have $5 off my next service. Read Less

Super clean, super friendly people- beautiful large space.I originally heard about my yelp. but didn't decide to visit until I received an in-person recommendation from a new friend I met while at a networking event. She told me nothing but the best, I decided to check it out. Pedicure experience has been fantastic with sue. The salon is beautifully decorated, the color selection is superb and wonderfully organized, and they really make the entire process seamless. Everything at impress nail and spa is sanitary and top quality, so you never have to worry about dipping your toes in a sub-par pedicure tub or anything less than the best. They will offer you water, the nail dryers have both warm and cool air (your choice) and the massage chairs are heavenly. I'm so glad to have found Impress Nail & Spa, after having tried just about every other nail place in Needham.  I've been coming here regularly for about a year and have told everyone I know to come here.  The manicurists always do a great job -- manicures with regular polish last for nearly two weeks most of the time, and pedicures last until my nails get too long.  The manicurists are very nice and respectful.  They do paraffin wax and a quick neck/shoulder massage for free every time.  The place is big, bright, clean, and welcoming.  Manicure prices are very reasonable ($15) and pedicures are slightly above average ($35) but worth it. I came to Impress to get a last-minute mani/pedi before a wedding, and I was very impressed with their service. The spa was very clean and well lit, and thankfully didn't have an overwhelming nail polish smell. All of the employees were kind, attentive, and professional. The hot stone massage was a really nice touch, and I've never been to another salon that uses paraffin wax in regular mani/pedi service. I wish I could give them negative stars.  DO NOT BUY a Living Social deal for this place! They do not honor them and made me pay $35 for a mani pedi that didn't last 1 day.  I was made to feel very uncomfortable after I asked when they wanted to take my voucher code.  They said that they didn't know what LS was.  We went back and forth and they said they tried taking their promo off Groupon and no one answers the phones.  I has to request another coat of polish be put on to my toes as it was very streaky.  While one person did that another started hastily removing my fingernail polish.  Their paraffin wax was left all over my hands and my watch because they rushed so quickly through it they made a mess.  They then asked me to pay before they started painting my nails which I did.  She then asks if I want to pay my tip in cash!  I told them I would figure the tip situation out later as my experience was less than pleasant thus far. She then offered me a one time courtesy of applying the tip to my credit card. Went I declined she went into a rant asking why I wasn't tipping her.  I explained her 1st concern should be on customer service and the fact that this has been a nightmare and not my tipping her for horrible service/experience.  People TIP when HAPPY not for a horrible 1st time customer experience.  Needless to say I would not wish this experience upon anyone.  LS refunded the price I paid but my out of pocket costs still remain.  I will NEVER return to this establishment. This place is great! I came here for a pedicure this week and used the $7 off M-W Yelp offer. The salon is large, clean and very peaceful. They have a great selection of polish and a lot of new shades. Everyone here is so friendly and the atmosphere is great. Disappointing gel manicure... chipped after 3 days !! and when I came to get it soaked off the receptionist didn't even bother helping just kept saying I need to book an appointment. Tip: the entrance in around back on the side of the building.Very nice people with a clean salon. A bit pricier for the pedicure than I'm used to ($35 vs. $25.) However, I enjoyed the nail polish selection and appreciated the cleanliness.The only thing is, I wish they'd visibly clean the tools and the pedicure tub a bit more because I couldn't verify that. As well, I didn't notice anything "natural" about the place, so if you're used to like a MiniLuxe or something of that sort -- you may want to go elsewhere.Also they didn't give much of a foot massage! I have been here 3-4 times. Each time I have left so impressed. Yesterday I went in for a mani-pedi and the ladies knew I was rushed, they assured me that they would finish my nails so I could leave on time. They then offered to give me a manicure and pedicure at the same time. I was able to leave in half the time! They are really about customer service. Woohoo! This really is as good as it gets. Beautiful salon with big windows and plenty of light; freshly painted with new tiles; all clean everything. This is my new salon and I doubt I'll go anywhere else. The highlight for me was a perfectly organized nail polish wall, with Essie's new collection highlighted with stickers so you know what's what. I did wait a bit for my appointment, but I was content with waiting in the lounge on the beautiful white couches with a charger provided for my phone. My manicurist is a violinist at the conservatory, so she chatted about that. Very interesting! Not only was she friendly and interesting, but she did an amazing job on my manicure, which is unchipped after 5 days (regular man). The paraffin treatment and massage really put it over the edge! $15 well spent: this is where I suggest anyone in the Newton/Needham area goes for their next manicure. Read Less
