I went in for a wax as normal and they ended up taking off half of my eyebrow from the arch to the tail. My best friend also experienced her brows being very skinny and unfitting for her face. I give this salon no stars. I went in for a manicure and pedicure. Pedicure chairs were nice but that was it. Salon was empty. I felt we were very rushed even though we came in way before closing. In addition, although I was notified if pedicure pricing(28 for basic package) I was not notified of shellac manicure pricing. I have Never ever paid 40 dollars for a gel or shellac. One would think with that ridiculous price at least the quality would be there. Unfortunately , not. The woman who helped me mumbled horribly and rushed. She tried to upsell me on the pedicure which was definitely unneeded. 3 days later my nails are chipping and She cut my nails far too short.I will never return and will warn anyone I can that you can get better service at better pricing at many other salons. Mediocre at best. Positive:I called 15 minutes prior to my arrival and the woman I spoke with on the phone politely took my name and said I could come right in. I arrived and was seated immediately for my pedicure. I sat for a solid 5 minutes before anyone else came to tell me they'd be with me shortly, but the water was warm and the massage chair worked nicely, so I was perfectly comfortable. Unfortunately, there are more Negatives than positives. My technician was friendly enough. Asked what type of pedicure I wanted and I simply responded that it had been a while and that I was just pleased to be here to finally get a pedicure and that anything basic is fine. More specifically, asking to just "clean them up." She made some more small talk and eventually tried to upsell me on a "green tea" pedicure. I politely smiled and said something to the effect of "oh no I'm all set with that, thank you." I don't remember m exact words, but "No" was 100% in my response. Next thing I know, she's giggling and chatting with coworkers. I never mind this happening when I am getting a pedicure, and quite honestly, I go there to relax and not talk. I enjoy keeping to myself and enjoying some quiet time. She walks away and comes back and begins the "green tea" pedicure!!! The powder was in the water before I realized what was going on. She looked at me and said something like "it means longer massage" as she was nodding, smiling, and giggling to coworkers. I truly never feel uncomfortable during a pedicure if the staff is speaking to one another, even when it is in another language. For some reason, their conversation and constant giggling made me very uncomfortable. I let her finish the pedicure. It was fine. I was very upset that I got something I didn't ask for. It's not about the money, because I'm happy to pay for a quality pedicure, it's about being heard and being taken advantage of. The pedicure was fine, not outstanding, fine. Side note: during my treatment another staff member came out from the back of the salon eating food that had a particular unpleasant smell on its own, let alone accompanying nails polish fumes. She finished whatever she was eating and sat right down to begin a pedicure. I happened to be in the area, so it was convenient for me to try this place out, but I will not be back. I will make the drive to Ashland and keep my business at Polished. Go check them out instead. Read Less

The last 3 times I was there, I saw multiple people during my nail session for a shellac manicure. One person would file, another person would start to paint one hand, then someone else would finish. Personally, I did not find that to be the best experience. I also started to noticed that my shellac manicure was only lasting a few days. I continued to go back with hopes that it was just an off day for them, but my experience with them only worsen. After getting my nails done, two days later one of my shellac nails peeled off. I went back to get the one nailed fixed and they told me that I would have to wait 30 minutes to get my one nail fixed. Since then, I have refused to go back. Read Less

I came here awhile ago with a friend and it was great at the time. The people were nice and it was a nice location. I got a pedicure and it looked great. When it came time to take the polish off once it started to chip, I noticed some toe nail fungus. (Mostly on my big toe) now looking back, I remember that they took the tools and scrubbers from a drawer and put it back in as soon as I was done. This place was nice, but I don't recommend going. Elegant Spa offers a great experience and service, however the gel manicure I have received on separate occasions has lasted only 4-5 days, which is significantly less time than other nail salons I have visited. This place is amazing! You are immediately at ease when you walk in to a therapeutic water fountain. The boss is so soft-spoken and sweet. Calming, genuine instrumentals play in the background as you rest your feet while getting a chair massage. Tony is truly an artist and perfectionist! He had the softest hands and was so sweet. I've never heard someone say please, thank you, and when he spritzed some water on my nails a bit got on his coworker and he immediately and genuinely apologized. The atmosphere in there was refreshingly relaxing and Tony's suggestions, although I wanted to get a subtle French Manicure, were to try a sparkling pink base coat and stick with the clean white tip, were such an amazing improvement over what I had in mind. The foot and hand massage, though brief, was fantastic! He really targeted tense areas and I think I even fell asleep at one point while getting my feet done. Tip was cash-only, which I should have been prepared for, but I will just have to make up the difference to him next time I go back since I only had a $10 on me. This experience was like a vacation. I go to Elegant nails every two weeks to have my nails done.  I usually get Christine who is fantastic.  My nails always look amazing after she does them. I get many compliments.  I have been to a number of other nail salons in Milford and Elegant Nails is the only one I have repeatedly returned to. Read Less

I've been looking for a nail salon in the area as I just moved from Chicago. This place was good. The woman did a good job on my mani/pedi. She gave a nice massage. I was so excited to see a new nail salon open up in the plaza. I live in a town next to milford and do all of my errands in the area. I am new to this area and really don't know the "good" places yet. I tried The salon on a Saturday morning. It was fairly busy. The high points are as follows. The salon is brand new and very clean. The pedicure chairs are very comfortable and the nail polish selection was huge! I was greeted kindly by the owner I'm assuming. I asked for a pedicure and manicure and was seated immediately. The women I had said hello and that was it, not very friendly. The pedicure was basic and the massage was like I asked my 5 year old to give me one. Moved on to the manicure where there was also no talking and she seemed annoyed.  The customer service defiantly should improve because it seems to be the nicest place in the area. Read Less
