Earlier this year I moved away from my go to favorite nail salon in Brighton. In my search for a replacement I had gone to a few nail salons that just didn't work out. Until Saturday! Came here today for the first time after hearing such wonderful things and seeing photos of Quin's nail art. Couldn't be more satisfied!!! She corrected my wonky nail shape precisely and took her time doing the cutest Halloween designs to make my nails unique. The employees are slow. I wasn't told how long the wait would be when I came in and it didn't seem very busy.  Waited over a half hour.  The Gel manicure was painted over my cuticle, which started peeling after a few days. Read Less

I have been going to this Nail Salon since 2002. I have seen it change ownership so many times. Quinn the new owner is amazing for the designs and shapes of the nail. Dawn does the best pedicures! She takes her time, gives the best massages. Quinn always has nice music playing and it is just very relaxing! If you want a mediocre manicure that takes 2 hours, then this is the place for you. I got a dip powder manicure and the woman who did my nails was very clumsy and kept dropping and spilling things on me and herself. She did 3 layers of top coat for me to try to ease the appearance of the bumps she didn't file out completely even after I asked and the tip cost was messy and uneven. This is my relaxation and oasis. Everyone is amazing at what they do. From acrylics to nail art. Quinn is the best at nail art and design. I LOVE the atmosphere it is modern and sheik. I've been to this salon a couple of times now, the first was to get an acrylic fill, and I was happy with my nails. The service during this first visit should have deterred me from visiting again. Half way through my fill, the nail tech got up and starts yelling at the male receptionist, then stormed out leaving my nails unfinished. The receptionist painted my nails and took care of the rest of my appointment. Because the quality of the nail was so great, I thought I would give them another try. I had read about the dip-gel powder online and had seen a great set on one of my close friends so I thought I would try it. I saw that Beauty Nails offered the service and called and booked an appointment. From what I had read online, this process should be quicker than that of acrylic, but it took over TWO HOURS to complete. A full acrylic set has never taken over an hour to complete. The nail tech seemed unsure of what she was doing, and kept losing control of the file. She would ruin the nails with the file, then add more product, which created terribly thick nails that had to be filed more. The end result was a clear, plastic looking nail that was rough, uneven, and cheap looking. I paid and left, but I was so upset I returned the next morning at opening and asked to have them removed. The woman at the desk argued with me telling me this is how they're meant to look, and that removing them would be damaging. So instead of taking them off and replacing with a regular gel manicure, they told me they would file and smooth them, then paint over them. The end result of this fix looks pretty decent, but I will never be returning, and I won't recommend this place to anyone. It's OK to make mistakes, I would have returned regardless of the bad set of nails, but to argue with me afterwards about the mess up is just poor customer service. I'm a forgiving consumer and I would normally never write a bad review, but This place really earned the write up. Go to LA Nails across the street for better pricing and amazing service. Read Less

The only reason I gave it one star is because it wouldn't allow zero. It took over 2.5 hours to get a full set that wasn't even finished. I kept reminding them I needed to leave to get home to my kids. Slowest salon ever and I've tried it out 3 times. It wouldn't have even been that big of a deal, but the salon kept arguing with me that it's a reasonable amount of time for a full set - then charged me full price and my nails are half done and course/not filed. I will have to go somewhere else and pay again to have this fixed. I'm beyond livid. Read Less

This is the second time I visited the salon and I am so happy I found this gem. I recently moved to the area and I'm super picky about my nails...as most women are...I get the gel covered nails. There was no chipping, lifting, and it was just about 3 weeks. They remained shiny and elagent. Ann is fabulous!! Read Less

I was very disappointed with my gel manicure that I got after it started peeling the very next day!! Everything I've read has said that gel is supposed to last at least a week if not longer so you can imagine my disappointment that after a few days almost half of my nails had chipped! I was not happy about the fact that I had spent $30 for that. I was excited about finding a regular place to go and thought this would be it. I got a gel manicure with a very simple design (a stipe down the middle).  The polish stayed on really well and the lady was nice enough but it wasn't a great experience.  Only the girl at the front desk actually spoke English.  When I grabbed a color but it looked wrong on the first nail, I tried to ask if they had any lighter blue and the lady looked at me without any understanding and just shook her head.  Also, she did 3 coats on some nails but only 2 coats on some others so you can tell that some are less opaque.  When I tried to tell her this she also didn't understand.  Finally, the environment was mediocre.  There was a lady in there giving herself a pedicure, which doesn't look very professional...  And they were all loudly talking to each other in their native language the entire time, which takes away from the relaxing experience. I made an appointment for a pedi & a fill and they fit me right in. As I sat down, Quinn explained to me why my nails kept breaking over & over ( I was getting fills at a different salon) and suggested I get them taken off and a full set. I am SO happy with the outcome. My nails feel & look amazing. I went with a matte black & the shape is perfect. My technician took the time to file them down so they're smooth, and thin and beautiful! I went with the spa pedicure with the hot stones. Every lady working had a smile on their face & knew their clients by first name. Great atmosphere. This salon just gained a new regular! Read Less

4 stars for service from Ann... I want to give her 5 because the shape of my nails is PERFECT but I felt rushed at the end when another client sat down, they were out of warm towels, and the lotion she used smelled like it had extra perfume in it.I just moved here from the Midwest and I get a gel manicure every 2-3 weeks and I was so sad to leave my manicurist back home. But Ann did a fantastic job! I like my nails very square and wow, they are perfect. I usually bring my own gel polish but I came straight from work so I picked a LeChat Perfect Match color... even my manicurist back home had problems with this brand and Ann did too. She painted my pinky and ring finger and the gel started shrinking so we had to do one finger at a time so it go under the light immediately!Ann even struck up a conversation with me, asking if I was from the area, why I moved, etc. She was really nice. She asked if I wanted a 3rd coat of polish and I did because I hate seeing the nail line. I really hope they last 3 weeks! I will definitely be back but with my own color and lotion. Read Less
