One word: SLOPPY. I’m baffled by the good reviews, this place is a dump. It’s dirty inside, and no surprise, that should have been my first clue that this salon simply does NOT have an eye for detail. The owner, Yvonne I believe was her name, did my nails, and honestly they looked better when I came in than when I came out. The acrylic is lumpy and the polish is uneven, half of it is on my cuticles. Sadly I chose red gel polish, so the mistakes are even more apparent. When I asked for her to fix each detail I noticed looked off along the way, she tried to oblige, but she literally couldn’t see what I was talking about. Sorry, but it’s never a good sign when your nail technician wears reading glasses and moves your hand around to try and focus...She also cut me to the point where I’m bleeding in several places. I can’t really distinguish what is blood or nail polish at this point.
Furthermore, I had called the day prior to make an appointment the next morning. Yvonne insisted that they were busy the next day but she could fit me in if I came at 9:45 before they opened at 10:00. She double checked that I would definitely make that time, and I promised I would. As it turned out, no one showed up to even open the shop until 9:55, on a freezing cold January day when it is FIVE DEGREES outside. When I got in, we got down to business and I had to keep my coat and scarf on the whole time because the heat wasn’t on!
At the end, I told her I can’t in good conscience pay the full price for this experience. She proceeded to grab my hand, pull me over to another customer in the middle of a manicure, and put that customer on the spot by asking what that customer thought of her work. I told her it’s not fair to put other customers in this position, and that I also do not think it’s fair to charge me full price, and cited all the reasons about why this has been a terrible experience. She insisted I owed her $38, so I paid her with American Express, who I know will get my money back and is intolerant of bad business experiences like these.
Needless to say, that is my first and last time at this place. Good luck and good rittance. Read Less
