My experience with this salon was horrible. I have been to the Bliss Nails at Assembly Row and I had a great experience. This salon was closer to me and so I figured I would be getting the same experience. I went for a dip powder manicure and it came out to be horrible. Some of the issues i had was that the thickness was not even in some of my nails. Also, some of my nails had a thick top coat excess that dried so its slightly bumpy. The other issue I had was that there were some powder underneath my nails and I told the tech, she tried to clean. At one point, she used her own nail to push back, I believe to separate or to push my skin back so she can use her took to scrape the excess powder underneath the nail. As a result,  caused my finger to start bleeding. Instead of apologizing she just said that powder does not usually get stuck underneath the nail. Lastly, the service was overprice. I returned to the salon to get my nails redone for which there seemed to be no problem to do so. As the tech was removing the first manicure she did not let the gel soak for near long enough (probably 2 minutes) and proceeded to attempt to scrape it off with a cuticle pusher with extreme pressure. At first it did just feel like pressure until I washed my hands and noticed blood everywhere. I'm not talking a nicked cuticle - several of my fingers were profusely bleeding. Upon inspection I realized three of my fingers had deep lacerations to the skin next to the nails. The tech apologized and let someone else take over to whom I mentioned I wasn't completely comfortable having my nails painted with the cuts. Instead of risking the loss of business right then and there she put cotton and "bleeding stopper" (what? This is a nail salon, not a doctors office) to attempt to stop the bleeding and proceeded with the manicure. When everything was complete I was asked if I had paid already, which I had after the first attempt at the manicure. I took this as the manager would go ahead and refund me for the whole experience. Instead she said I was all set to go - indicating if I had not paid already she was still expecting a payment! The store manager came over and did reimburse me for the manicure but only after I had to ask twice. I shouldn't have had to ask at all in my opinion. Pictures are attached to my yelp review which I took upon my arrival home and my fingers were still bleeding. I then had to wash the cuts to scrub out the cotton lodged inside the cuts as well as the "bleeding stopper" for fear of infection. Went here with my bridesmaids before my wedding and they did exactly as we described and the nails looked beautiful!! The gel lasted a long time too. A bit on the pricier side but it's a nice facility with great service. Read Less

Today i had a horrible experience at Bliss Nails.I've been to Bliss Nails a dozen times before and had nothing but positive experiences and fantastic service.  I am also the type of person that goes to the nail salons and goes to relax.  I'm a very laid back person and usually go with the flow and trust the esthetician to make my nails look nice without any guidance from me.Today i went for a pedicure and a gel manicure.  It was a young man who was going to do my nails.  He took me to a chair to do a pedicure... first the water was freezing and when he asked "how the water was?" I told him it was a little cold... no big deal and easy fix. So in his attempt to warm it up he put the hose on scalding hot water and held it against my feet.Then the filter and bubbler wasn't working on the foot bath thing... so he tried to fix it while my feet were in the water.  Again, No big deal except he was repeatedly banging the filter and fan causing all this nasty stuff to float in the water next to my feet and when i removes my feet and said the filter/fan looks pretty gross, he tried to get me to put my feet back in but i told him no.  So he took me to another chair, but after a minute of him fumbling with how to cut my nails i said i would skip a pedicure today.  I went on to do the gel manicure.  I have long/ thick nails.  First thing, He asked if i wanted to cut/trim my nails.  I said yes.  He then proceeded to cut my nails so short it hurt and i could see the soft pink tissue hanging out under my pinky and ring finger..  I didn't even let him touch my other hand.  I felt so rude but honestly this place is sort of pricy and before i pay $70 for a mani and pedi i want to make sure it is a relaxing and positive experience, and not a chop shop.  I asked for another person to do my nails and she was very nice but tried to cut my other nails so short to match the other ones and i was just too upset to deal with it. So i left with one hand that had my long nails and the other one looking like a 5 year old tried to cut my nails. I've now called another nail salon to see if they can try to fix my nails before the holidays.  As i said before, I've been to Bliss many times before and had great experiences and i don't know what the heck happened but i have that guy touch my nails again. It was my first time getting a manicure and a pedicure. I was greeted and helped right away. I got time to choose my colors and didn't feel rushed. I was worked on by Rosa; she didn't speak English fluently, so it was kind of hard to understand, but I didn't mind. The pedicure was really relaxing and calming. I wished my toes were shaped better though, but the process was worth it. I was then brought over to do my nails. I got a gel mani, and she did a thorough job of making sure my nail beds were coated well. Overall, my experience was good, and I'll likely come again! Read Less

If you are looking to do your nails while relaxing and being taken care of the right way, don't go to bliss nails. Terrible service, one of the workers completely disrespected me. I got there with 2 other ppl they took them in and never called me when it was my turn. They literally kicked me out of the chair and called me a liar that I hadn't been waiting at all. Came here a few times for SNS/dip manicure and was very disappointed. I've been getting this type of manicure for over a year and it's never chipped until I came here. My long, natural nails were destroyed by chipped and I have to come to this salon 5 times in 4 weeks for appointments and repairs.The salon itself looks clean and the people are friendly, but I'm devastated by my experiences and how much my nails have been damaged. I went in 2 weekends ago for a pedicure before my baby shower. Once I got home I realized my feet were still really rough. The nail polish looks good, but it's like I never even received a treatment based on how my feet looked within a hour of leaving the place. Other places I've been to my feet will stay baby soft for at least a few weeks! Read Less

I've been here a few times for gel manicure (Ricky) he's awesome and goes a great job! I'm very picky, went in once for a full set and got a "novice" nail tech, very nice but needed way more training, ended up shaping my own nails...several had to be repaired even before they were completed, shape and contour was rough. Probably should have stopped the process long before it got too far but I was hopeful. Good news is that they try to professional and offered me a refund and another appointment to have them fixed. Nicest salon I've been to, it was hardly busy for a walk in on a Wednesday morning at open. Many made reservations which is likely smart if trying to go on Friday-Sunday. Everyone was nice and welcoming, lovely place to be. The regular manicure was reasonably priced at $20 which included hand/arm massage and sugar scrub. Brochures at the counter offer a price list of all other services. I was also intrigued by the closed off quarters for pedicures, each area seating 2 people with shut curtains for privacy and relaxation. Will definitely be going back!Read Less

I have to say the people there are really nice. But, I feel that the quality of the service is slipping. The manicure and pedicure I recently received has uneven lines or the polish doesn't go all the way down to the nail bed. It's either sloppy or lazy. I get pedicures and manicures because my eyesight isn't that great to do it myself. When I got home and put my glasses on I was very disappointed in the quality of the work. Read Less

Spa like feel without the price. The pedicures are done in semi-private rooms which is nice if you go with someone, you can actually have a conversation. Its not loud and bustling like most nail salons. Its relaxing and they turn the lights down while giving you a foot and leg massage. The only down fall is some of the nail technicians are exceptional and others don't seem very experienced. But the price for the quality of the pedicure and massage is great. Read Less

Was staying at the hotel around the corner and needed a gel manicure. Want to give props to Mia for the excellent job she did (especially since she knew I was from out of town and likely wouldn't be back). Two things I really appreciated: she didn't make the polish too thick, and she checked the front edges of my nails when she finished to make sure there were no rough spots. There was a certain amount of tension in the salon with a customer who was loudly complaining about something (not really clear what) but wanted to say I had a really pleasant experience with Mia and would definitely book her again. I have been here a few times before and the first two times I was there was good and the staff was friendly and did a great job!The place is clean and has a spa felt to it.But do not let that fool you.. the very last time was recent.the lady burned me so terribly with hot water when I put my feet into it that my skin got shocked!There was a terrible draft coming from the back door as i was getting a pedicure and she cut me multiple times!she also took what she was removing from my toes and wiped it on my feet and I am really not sure why!?I got upset and told her not to do that anymore and she laughed at me.She made me feel uncomfortable and did not try to help ease my discomfort at all.After the Pedicure it was time for me to do my manicure.she cleaned my cuticles and then asked me to pay her now I kindly declined and said "if you don't mind I would like to pay after I am done "she very rudely persisted and almost yelling said "NO YOU PAY NOW YOU HAVE TO PAY ME NOW"I said you know what I am going to speak to the manager and i spoke to the gentleman upfront at the desk and he was also very inconsiderate as to how my experience was already and also laughed at me and persisted that the type of experience I am having is nothing to be upset about but that it is normal and there is nothing he can do for me.So i said "okay I am just not gonna come here anymore" and he replied "okay" And they demanded i pay the full amount regardless of the experience I have had.They since then they have not tried to reach out to me to apologize or do anything for me for the inconvenience. Absolutely love this place! The only nail salon I will go to. Very clean, wonderful staff and a relaxing atmosphere. Prices are a little high, but you get what you pay for. My gel manicures always last more than 2 weeks and have a wide selection of colors to pick from! Read Less

The guy at the front desk was very friendly. Salon seemed neat and clean (hence the 2 stars). As far as the manicure itself: not satisfied. Could have just been the woman I had, but she was rude, rushed, and did a sloppy job on my gel manicure. One of them has a visible blob in the corner which she did not offer to fix. I was visiting my brother in Boston and my sister in law suggested we go to this place for my much overdue mani/pedi. I'm a bit hesitant to try new nail places since I have been going to the same one for a very long time. But I was pleasantly surprised by this salon. It's very clean, inviting, relaxing, and friendly people. Tina gave me an amazing and revitalizing pedicure, and I don't recall the name of the girl who did my manicure, but she did a very efficient and similar job as my regular manicurist does in Chicago. Bliss Nails is a wonderful salon. I have had several gel manicures and pedicures here, and have never been disappointed. They have a great color selection and the environment is really comfortable. Just got my nails done today and I already felt so satisfying! My nails was really bad for almost like a month because of my stripped cuticle and they suggested me to do a new set of gel fill. What can I say? It was wonderful! It was Patricia who did a new set of gel powder on my nail. Seeing that my fingers are so small and sensitive, she ran the nail drill very soft and smooth. I also wanted a gel color on top so that it could last longer and Bee did a fantastic job. I usually get more than one colors on my nails so I picked a combination of sheer red, sparkle yellow and a nude color; surprisingly it turned out very well. I have to post the picture up here to show you guys how awesome they are. Although it took forever to finish but since I requested a design with rhinestones, it's worth it! I have been going to Nails & Co in Peabody for about a year & LOVING the service I get there (25 min massage with the lights off), WHO does that?! Then I heard that Bliss was somehow related to Nails & Co so off I went for my lunch break last week as I was sold that now I dont have to drive all the way to Peabody... So I get in & had Tony (WHO I LOVE!!) and had the BEST pedi in a long time AND got the same 25 min massage... Will ONLY be going to Bliss moving forward, I mean really... Around the corner from my home & really close to work - I cant complain...  Loved the service, loved the people... My only complaint - for someone like me who religiously gets a pedi every other week & likes to bounce from Light to Dark & vice versa the color selection was a LITTLE lacking... There were TONS of Red Shades & Darker Purples but NO TEAL... and not many other bright summer colors (In OPI that is - there were several Esse colors) but Im an OPI whore...  I will just have to bring my own moving forward, but this is where Im going from now on!  Ask for Tony - Hes the greatest!
