My elderly mother went for a manicure, and the nail technician was so incredibly rude and impatient. She made no effort to be pleasant. She did not in any way assist my mother (or me) in getting her seated in the rolling chair. The nail technician was unpleasant during the manicure, and she did a crappy job on my mom's nails - no base coat, no top coat (my mom told me later; I would have complained had I known). I've been going to this nail salon every 3-4 weeks for close to 5 years & I have never once had a negative experience. They are extremely friendly, knowledgeable & experienced. My nails always turn out beautifully. I've had acrylics, gel, mani & pedi & have always left happy. Their prices are actually better than most in the area & they have a huge selection of products. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! I know a lot of people visiting need to go to a salon that has walk-in service but I say look else where. I live here year round and have experienced many nail salons. I went today with a friend (she got acrylics and I had my natural nails-- which are very very long-- done) and I have never had such a horrible experience. My long nails are now so brittle that I have to completely cut them off and start again, the man didn't do anything I asked for, and he didn't even cut my nails to even them out (as some had broken). My friend's acrylics came out crooked, uneven/misshapen, and didn't even dry by the time he basically told us to get out. I will NEVER be going back there again. I'd give them zero stars if I could. YUCK!!! Do not EVER go to this place. Rip-off by a mile. First..way overpriced. Second- quality sucks, and seems to be acceptable here, at least according to the "girl" who did my nails. Was on a trip, broke a couple of gel nails - went here because they accepted walk-ins and it was near me. Well... let's not get into the "language" issue and violations concerning the non-labeled product bottles. In any case, agreed to a full set (big mistake: $45, something not even charged in California). Then the sloppy application (stuff was dripping literally off my nails), there was no "base coat" applied before putting on polish. My nails look like a little kid did them, and I honestly know I can do a better job myself (because I have). When I pointed out that the polish had streaks and ridges visible due to no basecoat, the "girl" became indignant, informing me that "no one" ever applies a base coat to "gel". I informed her that I have had my nails done since the 1970s, and have always had a base coat - she then said she has been doing nails for years (apparently in some other time warp), and so I asked her if the nails were acceptable to her. She said they were. I told her only by HER standards. I didn't tip them a thing - and wouldn't - and vowed to bash them on YP and will add to Google review too.
