My 14 yr old has the THICKEST, CURLIEST hair and Eliana gave her top notch treatment. Eliana was literally teaching and giving tips to Grace all along the way. We scheduled a wash, cut, and deep conditioning treatment and Eliana dried Grace's hair with a diffuser to show her best technique for drying curly hair, at no cost. She did my hair exactly as I had asked and it came out exactly as I had expected. She was Very friendly and professional and simply knew what she was doing. I would not recommend this salon. I made an appointment for a haircut, and was seen quickly by a stylist. I understood that the cut was going to be expensive. The haircut was a pleasant experience and the stylist was lovely, but the haircut was not quite right. During the haircut she let me know that she had not had any official Aveda training beyond representative salon visits. The reason I’m comfortable spending big bucks at Aveda salons is because of the Aveda training. I let her know my concerns about the cut (the layers were not short enough for my liking) during it. She understood and offered to fix it that day or have me come back. I elected to come back So I could see what the cut looked like styled as I normally styled it. Needless to say it did not look the way I wanted it to look, especially for a haircut that high priced. I went back the next day and I asked to see another stylist hoping that they might have Aveda training. This was when things got ugly. I understand that I might have offended them by asking to see another stylist, but I don’t think that justifies the treatment I received by the next stylist. She washed my hair aggressively. Using her nails aggressively. It hurt. During the cut, when I let her know my concerns about shortening my layers she basically grabbed a chunk of hair and cut it bluntly. Half of my head looks like a mullet now. Ironically she did a fine job on the other side, but the first side is so bad that I can only assume that she cut it poorly on purpose. The touch up cut took all of 15 minutes after keeping me waiting for almost an hour and a half. I always go to Aveda salons first, but I will steer clear of this one from now on. Read Less

I'm not one to write reviews, but felt I must. I purchased a CC Daily Deal coupon for Beyond Beauty. I'm shopping for a new salon and recovering from a recent accident, and a relaxing afternoon was anticipated. Nothing could be further from the truth. I had also scheduled a wash and blow out the morning of the appt and was assured I would be out the door before 3, as I had an event to attend. I arrived on time, to be met with confusion right off the bat...then got to what an only be described as a waiting room chair to sit in for my pedicure, along side another in a very cramped room. The nice girl who did the pedi, was snail paced slow, skipped steps (no exfoliation) and took 1 hr 45 minutes to complete. Still had to have my manicure & wash and dry. There seemed to be an issue that I decided to select gel for manicure, and many side bar discussions (btw, selection of colors was poor). I mentioned that I had a time issue, and I was blamed for selecting gel which was never asked when making appointment, plus they had to remove my current gel, which was again took forever. Nails took forever as well (only one OPI light) plus technician started to shape nails in square shape when clearly had round shape...too late. My nails looked better when I came in. Pinky nails are two complete different lengths and shape, another nail was so rough I had to file when I returned home. So much was put on the ends I now have divets when the "extra" polish is. After starting to get anxious, I was told that the tech was new (no problem, everyone is new at some point) but she got no assistance or help, and I was told she never would have done my nails if they knew I'd do gel, but that was the CC Daily Deal...no add ons, which should have been told to me right off the bat. After nails were done, I was told stylist was ready for me. Was taken to a chair and no one showed up. Already over 1/2 hour late...finally, Casey (the only redeeming face in the salon) grabbed me and did my hair quickly. She is a true professional and the stars on this review are for her. If she were to be in another salon, I would go to her. Given the CC Daily Deal is to show ones best to encourage new clients, Beyond Beauty failed on just about every level. Read Less
