Terrible service. Mom and I showed up on time for our appts. All nail esthetician were busy and left us sitting at the pedi stations with no water to soak our feet. Had to ask the receptionist for water. Waited 30min before we were seen! No apologies whatsoever! My cuticle was nicked and she didn't even acknowledge it let alone apologize. Dabbed on acetone two separate times to try to stop the bleeding. I left with blood stains around my cuticle. Informed the receptionist and the owner overheard but did nothing about it. The only good thing about this place is the price. Fastest pedicure I've ever had, received a 60 second massage on one leg, 10 second on the other. Heels still have dry skin. Nails are not evenly painted. Chair was shaking and barely worked. Just bad! Read Less

The woman doing my pedicure tore my skin twice and then insisted on digging on my toe saying there was an ingrown nail, which there really wasn't. I had to say several times to stop and move for my foot away. Terrible place to go and I recommend Nice One Nails on Merivale road! Read Less

This is the best nail salon in town, hands down! My girlfriend and I went there during the first opening week, the salon was full of clients but the staff still gave us a warm welcome and treated us with great respect and always making sure you are getting what you want. I made an appointment, then when I showed up for it 3 different people asked me what time I was supposed to be there at and finally after half an hour of sitting around I was told I got double booked. Asked who the owner was, got told one person, than got told a different person. Not happy at all especially since I have multiple friends who have gone there before. Read Less

A fairly quiet place in the winter time. I come here pretty often with my girlfriends and occasionally my mother. The interior is appealing, and the staffing is great. Summers are really busy, but the visits are worth it because prices are pretty cheap while the work is so good. i was a walk in for a fill in on my acrylics after being shut out by lux nails bar because over the phone they told me they were too busy to squeeze me in, so i tried fantasy nails, upon walking in i was warmly greeted, i decided to get my eyebrows waxed and was very pleased with the process and end result. the atmosphere is clean, light and bright. with a bowl full of lindt chocolates to help yourself to, to fun 80's music playing. it did seem a little short staffed and my fill in did not include any sort of massage. good place to go when you need something done on the fly. I have been a loyal customer for awhile now; the workers are really amiable, zesty, and fun to talk to. The news, Family Feud, or sports games are usually on the TV, but if you're not a fan, there is always the magazines. They do great jobs, especially with my gel nails and acrylics. The salon is kid friendly and there's also a discount, which comes in handy when there's a group of them you have to bring (ugh). May I suggest booking an appointment a day/week beforehand during the summer? If you are lucky, they will (sometimes) manage to take you in. They are usually packed during that season, and i always try to squeeze in a visit when stopping by the beach with my girlfriends. Love this place and all the staff. I do not recommend going here. The place is definitely not "fancy", and the staff aren't very welcoming or very talented. I've been here a few times for just manicures and they are never well done. The cost is average, but spend your money elsewhere for a more professional manicurist. Read Less

Went here on my birthday for a long-overdue pedicure and wanted a full set of gel/acrylic nails.  My mother booked the appointment for the 2 of us and she wasn't aware she needed to say "full set" so the male owner went through this rushed work on my hands thinking it's just a manicure and was about to start polishing them when I asked about the tips.  He was very rude after that even though it was just a small mistake.  Needless to say, the nails starting separating within days and a week later they were popping off and had fungus on 4 of my nails.  Never ever again would I ever go here! Fantasy nails is nothing fancy, but  all & all, i consider myself a loyal customer in the summer (i'd go year-round but they're near my beach house). they have the massaging chairs & lots of gossip mags (i'd NEVER buy them, but hell, i'll read that trash if its just sitting there).
