I used to go here often but my favorite nail person is gone. I decided to give it a shot for a pedi at the last minute. It was awful! I know that's a first world problem but I expected the person to know what they are doing. She didn't speak a lick of English which didn't help and she went from soaking my feet to painting them with no in between. Had to stop her and show her again what I wanted. I was a "walk in" and got taken in right away for my pedicure. Very clean and professional place. Loved my pedicure and I thought the woman did an excellent job. I asked to change my color while getting the pedicure and the woman was helpful and picked me out the color I was looking to get. Would definitely go back! Read Less

This place is so convenient, I really want to love it, but I've recently had a change of heart. There has to be some place better. I started going to this salon for gel, years ago.  They have an awesome selection of colors.  At the time, they were promoting gel manicures for $22.  The next time I went in, the price jumped to $26.  The next time, $28 and now $30 -- which is acceptable, since its the going rate.  A couple of months ago, I was "sold" on trying the SNS Mani that they're promoting.  "How much?", I asked.  It was a competitive $35 -- BUT, if you want your cuticles done, she says, it's $40.  Hmmm, okay.  Two months later, prices have jumped to $40 for SNS, BUT it's still an extra $5 if you want them to clean your cuticles.  Really? Umm, isn't that why I'm here? Get ready to dish out $45 for an SNS Mani if you want your cuticles cut and cleaned up.  I wouldn't be surprised if they increase the price for SNS again in a month.  On your way out, they'll hand you an "incentive" card.  Come back WITHIN 3 weeks and we'll only charge you $35 (without cuticle clean up) for your SNS. Done with this game.  They're not over the top, it's similar to any other place and the staff are less than happy or friendly.  Lastly, they're pedicures aren't for me.  I like a good scrub, a real good heel clean up -- this isn't the place for a deep pumice scrubbing and clean up.  The pedicures are quick. We took the bride to fancy nails and salon to get her nails done for her wedding the following day. We were extremely impressed with the service and care that the employees put into not only the bride but the entire party. We all decided to get the SNS polish done which proved to be a good choice. They spent a lot of time making sure that the polish came out smooth and even and that it was not extra thick. I have never had the SNS before and it was a really good experience. I got an all white polish and it looks just like the gel nail polish that I normally get at other salons. Very happy with my nails and will most likely be getting SNS in the future instead of gel. I've been here a few times for basic pedicures and basic gel manicures. I've had fair experiences/outcomes, nothing remarkably good or bad until this last time. I'd decided to finally give the SNS system a try- I was psyched! When I got there I asked the price difference between SNS and gel, without saying a word, the woman simply walks away. Eventually the guy came over- apparently the only one who does the SNS or even knows how much it costs. He couldn't find the book of colors and then seems to notice that he has an appointment coming up and asks me to come back tomorrow. No. At this point I just decide to switch to a plain gel manicure and am given back to the woman who had initially walked away. Again she says nothing and is instead sitting in front of me on her iPhone. With her phone on her shoulder she starts filing my nails without asking what shape. I asked if someone else could possibly do my manicure. While pleasant, the woman who did my manicure filed my nails super short and got polish all everywhere. I've been going to Fancys for 6 years on and off, and use to LOVE it! However within the past year and a half they must of changed owners. ( although the new owner use to work at the old one!) This last time I went will be my last sadly, they asked to wait thirty minutes and I did even thought there where only 2 other customers in the spa.  I decided while I was there I would have them do my eyebrows while I waited.  The women took off 1/3 of my eyebrow on the left side and right side the same length! I was furious, when I asked her what happened she said they where like that!! When I went in at 11:40 and they told me to wait 30 minutes I had no worries however at 12:25 they still had me waiting. I then paid for my butchered eyebrows and left. The time before this I was  very disappointed with my fill, the nails were to long and way to thick! When I ask her to trim them she said they looked better like this, and kept going. That's not her place to decide. They lost a customer of six years, I ended up going to BOSTON NAILS on marrott st in Lexington and loved it! Read Less

I decided to give this place a try, because most of the yelp reviews were positive.  Mistake.  I concur with the negative reviews on this place on every detail possible.  The guy another review mentioned... HORRIBLE.  Not everyone likes his/her job.  I get it.  But if that's the case and you still want to show how disgruntled you are (although you're in a wrong industry to begin with - hello, this is a SERVICE industry), at least be cordial.  Is that too much to ask for?  It showed on all his performances - the cutting, the filing, attitude both inside out.  Just plain old nasty.  When he was filing my toes, he would stab the top of my foot with the end of the filer then file my skin on my toes.  Unbelievable.  It actually HURT.  Doesn't even say hello, and instead would tap (yes, TAP) me.  Rude.  You don't make to speak good English - but at the very least why don't you try being nice?  If you're having a bad day, then just let it not affect your performance on work each time.I can't tell if the place is very clean either.  Sure, the chairs are new; but I saw oily residue floating on some of the pedicure spa tubs... This place is the WORST! I walked in on a Wed evening around 5:40 and waited at the front desk for someone to assist me (mind you, there were 2 ppl at the reception desk totally ignoring me). Finally after 5 mins, someone asks how they can help me, they tell me to pick a color & have a seat in the pedi chair. I take a seat and look around. There are 5 employees & 7 clients. It is NOW 6:20 and I'm STILL WAITING and the pedi water is now FREEZING COLD!   2 girls walk in after me at separate times and BOTH of them get helped before me...now I'm just livid! I speak up & am told "these girls had appts" WTF! So I cont to sit here...6:23 & finally someone starts my pedi! The place closes at 7 & I still have to get my nails done! By the time I get outta here, it'll be freakin 9pm!  I WILL NOT be coming back!!! Read Less

Ummm I don't understand all the 4 and 5 star ratings. I went to this place because of all the high ratings it got and was really disappointed. Maybe more confused than anything. I was expecting to be pampered and have a nice clean luxurious experience... instead the guy who did my nails did not say a word to me the whole time... and as I sat there in my seat while he did my nails I looked around the place and the wall behind the manicure tables were strewn with their jackets and personal belongings and random cereal boxes... the sink where they had me wash my hands was surrounded by used towels... my nails were dried with regular dinky little fans that blew cold air at me, which in the summer time was fine but if it were winter I would not have been happy. I just don't get it... I've only gotten my nails done maybe four times before in my life and it's not like I usually got to fancy expensive places. There's no way this place deserves the high ratings it got. Maybe other people have gotten their nails done even less times than I have? Read Less

I had an excellent experience here (walked in on a Saturday).  The woman who took care of me was My, and she did a wonderful job on my very short, messy nails.  I only went in for a pedi, but decided to stay for a mani because I was enjoying the conversation with My so much. I couldn't make up my mind for a color, and My ended up choosing one for me that I adore.  She was not only attentive, but smart and funny and a great conversationalist.The place was very clean, and they stayed open a half hour late to finish up on me and one other customer.There are well over a dozen other nail salons much closer to me, but I'm definitely going to drive the 30+ minutes for one of My's mani/pedi's again Read Less

Stopped in for a pedicure today and will definitely go back.  The salon is clean, comfortable and pleasant.  The technician was attentive, gave a great massage and did an outstanding job all around.  I am very pleased to have discovered Fancy Nails via the recommending reviews here.  It's a keeper. If you want a good mani/pedi, Fancy is great. It is very clean, well sterilized, and nicely scrubbed. Technician are very nice and like to chat. The polish job sticks and lasts for a month. They also do a great job pumicing my super dry heals, and my skin stays soft for weeks. My only caveat is that it is a bit expensive... $36 for mani/pedi. And the massage is decent, but nothing special. Sure the final product is great, but I would like a little longer massage for that price! Read Less

This was the worst salon and service I have ever received. Every 2 minutes the girl that was doing my pedicure was answering phone-calls and  excepting payments from other customers... I would be fine with all the an-professionalism and interactions every 2 min if the job was done properly. I did my pedicure yesterday and it did not feel that I have pedicure done at all. She was so much in rush that she finished my pedicure in 20 minutes. Today I made another appointment with another salon at Lexington. I never imagined that it may be possible to do 2 pedicures 2 day in a raw. This his how bed they work at this salon.I WOULD STRONGLY  RECOMMEND NOT TO WEST YOUR TIME AND MONEY IN THIS SALON. The service is terrific and the quality of the manicures and pedicures  excellent. I have had my toes & nails done by 3 of the staff members there, even a young man! and have been very happy with the outcome of every visit.  I always try to get my appointments with Kay, as she was super tolerant and willing to go the extra mile to do a shellac, french manicure on my very very short finger nails. This place deserves rave reviews.  Each time I get my polish done, it lasts for over a week. And last time I got a pedicure, they asked if I wanted to keep the cute purple pumice bar, which I use in the shower and my feet have never been so soft. Also, this place is open on Sundays, not to mention that I don't have to look for parking, since there are always spaces available in the center. Great place to get a manicure and pedicure! I usually don't write a review but I think that this nail salon deserves an A+ for its outstanding service and sanitary environment. The girls were so patient and nice. Even my mother in law loved her mani and pedi. She is not easy at all, I cannot tell you how many time she asked the technician to adjust her massage system every 5 min... I had a pedicure and a gel manicure. My feet and hands look gorgeous now. I won't tell you how they were before :-) My daughter is admiring a little design on her nails too.
