No doubt Mini Luxe is a bit pricey, but the pampering, clean and natural products, and professional staff far outweigh the price tag. I enjoy shopping at the Derby Street Shops, and once in a while when I'm able to escape the stresses of life, I find some relaxation at MiniLuxe. I must say that every time I've been there, I've been very happy with the service.
I don't usually make an appointment which can be problematic for me because they are quite popular and it's challenging to find an appointment within half an hour of walking -in, but nevertheless, I try my luck.
I have had both regular manicures, gel manicures, and most recently they have added the dazzle dry nail polish which is a little less expensive than their gel manicures, but only lasts between three to five days. I have also had several pedicures there which were quite relaxing and enjoyable. An important factor for me, besides the natural products and the very sanitary nail instruments they use, is the fact that the aestheticians don't speak to each other in a language that one cannot understand. That is an absolute faux pas for me as it causes an ambiance of discomfort. In the outside world, it doesn't bother me when others speak languages I can't comprehend. But, when I'm paying for a service, I believe it's the utmost in rudeness to carry on a conversation with someone else and not be attentive to the client.
I love that the dazzle dry nail polishes don't contain formaldehyde, phthalates and other toxic ingredients. I also love the beautiful kaleidoscope of colors. My experiences thus far at MiniLuxe have been positive, and so I will continue to patronize them. Read Less
