My normal nail place is getting expensive so I decided to try Gel Nail Bar. I will admit that I should've asked them to redo my nails but I didn't have time and also my technician dropped me as soon as another customer came in. The place was not that busy and several of the staff were eating at the stations. The place is cutely decorated but it was not that clean and I didn't see them cleaning out the foot baths between customers. I decided on a spa pedicure and a regular manicure. There were limited color options but I finally found cute colors. I was asked repeatedly if I wanted to do gel manicure that it was better but I kept saying no. I am glad I opted for the cheaper option because my nails came out atrocious. She did a good job on filing and shaping my nails but then just applied cream no massage and didn't wipe off the cream before starting the polish. Not sure if they thin out the nail polish or she just didn't blend in the sides but you can tell where the brush ended and looks like a double layer. For the pedicure the shaping, filing and painting looks good in the toes but there wasn't really a massage and my feet don't feel smooth like they typically do after I get a pedicure. While I was drying the woman didn't check in on me except for when she asked me to pay. Didn't double check her work or to check to see if my nails were dry before I left. I went to the Gel bar this past Saturday.  The place was congested, loud, unorganized and the owner was not very friendly. The place is run like a meat market. People in and out in a short period of time, which would be great, if they were thorough.  I got the gel manicure. The technician was friendly and personably but I noticed a chip the next day and something under the gel of another nail.  Cuticles were barely cleaned. Overall, it was an ok job.As I sat and received my manicure, I noticed that place was dirty, messy and not very appealing. It was not a relaxing atmosphere. It was more like a revolving door. If you've never been, don't waste your time. If your a regular, your royalty. I decided to give the Gel Bar a try for a few reasons, convenience being the main reason. When I walked in I was confused and began to regret my decision. I wasn't greeted until I saw the technician to my left and asked if they were accepting walk ins. He said 'Yes, what would you like?' To which I responded a Gel manicure. He then told me to sign in (to the clip board immediately in front of my on a piece of equipment) and then to pick my color. The colors are on the left wall and there is limited space to walk when chairs are being used. I picked out my color and stood by the polish for a few more minutes. Another woman had walked in and immediately got smiles and attention. Which made me feel like I didn't matter at that point. I decided to sit at the counter, waited and watched the jumbo tv in front of me. As I began to think that I was wasting my time and began to stand the tech to my right said 'no, you sit there I'll be with you in a moment.'I sat down and patiently waited. A decision I now regret. Tech #1 began to set up and have a friendly conversation with me while removing the gel already on my nails. I was beginning to forget my awkward intro and relax only for her to point to the man behind me and say 'he'll help you now.' So, I stood and sat at the bar behind where I was already sitting. With foil and remover on only 1 hand mind you. Tech #2 began to set up and remove polish from left hand. No real friendly conversation. He did tell me that they were short staffed. I tried to have a conversation but he wasn't interested. He was more concerned about what everyone else was doing. After he began removing the polish from my right hand he then put the foil back on telling me I needed more time. He then told another tech to send a young lady waiting for service to him. He began filing and polishing her nails. Paying no attention to me, he continued with putting her new nails on and trimming them to her desired length. After what seemed like an eternity I was yet again told I'd be moving. As I made my way to Tech #3 I joked that this was like musical chairs. Which apparently didn't sit well with Tech #1 who told me it was exercise. Which in turn made me (a not so small woman) respond with 'Right because I clearly need exercise!!!' At this point, I was kicking myself for not leaving the first opportunity I had. The manicure was fine, yes. Just fine. I had a nail break two days later. Probably because my nails soaked in acetone for about 45 minutes. I have no intentions of returning or recommending this establishment. They lack customer service and organizational skills. My girlfriend just came back from there. She has been getting her nails done since she was a teenager. We just moved to hanover, so she wanted to try somewhere close to home. She said that getting her nails done there was the worst experience ever. She made an appointment then had to wait a half hour even though she was on time and people who came after her without an appointment were taken care before her, while she stood there. The person doing her nails was rude an very aggressive with her hands. The quality of the pedicure was horrible and not worth the money. Im surprised there people are still in business Read Less

I personally bring my little sister here all the time! The staff is like no other, even though I am not getting my nails done the workers have great hospitality and offer me drinks! My sister raves about this place. Highly recommend you stop in. Read Less
