I would give Purele more stars if possible! By far the best waxing place I've ever been to. The staff is extremely friendly, the ambiance is comfortable and relaxing, and it's cheap! I absolutely LOVE this place. I actually had been a customer from when this salon had first opened in Amherst and I was a student at one of the nearby colleges. I recently was in the area visiting my friend last week and I decided to give Purele salon another visit for old times’ sake. When I tell you, I’ve NEVER had a bad experience at this salon, believe me. From the time they’ve first opened until now, they have not changed their remarkable customer service, their accommodating waxing technician, and just an overall stress free experience. I got a Brazilian done with Rocio and she was WONDERFUL! She talked me down the whole way through and helped me to relax and I LOVED IT! From this experience, I see that every technician has experience with waxing women of color which is important to me because that obviously would make or break a waxing experience given the vastly different curl pattern of our hairs than for example white counterparts. My one request is that Purele should expand to NYC!!! You guys would have ALL my money. Read Less

I just had my eyebrows threaded by Amanda and she was fantastic. I had my eyebrows waxed for over ten years and 5 years ago I started threading instead.  I have lived in Chicago and Boston and tried several places. This was the best experience I've had! The salon is very welcoming and relaxing. Amanda asked me how I like my eyebrows to look, which often people don't do, and then she did them exactly how I wanted! I like how they do my eyebrow threading & have gotten Brazilians here by the lovely Amanda. In the past few months or so all of the prices have gone up, they've gotten rid of the stamp card for threading to get one free after a few, and I'm constantly getting a phone call saying my appointment is canceled because so and so is out on medical leave - especially when it happens to be a service that was specially discounted. When I first started coming here (maybe a year ago) the brazilian was $35 then went up to $38 now it's $41, threading $10 now $12, etc. I was okay paying a little extra to begin with because I was happy with their work compared to other nearby places, but when prices all go up even more and they seem to always be canceling appointments I've been coming here less and less. Highly recommended! Ambiance: I was surprised. It was clean, smelled nice, and looked professional. Definately looked like what i would think of when i imagine a womans experience. Relaxing.I got a microdermabrasion. Lets say, i dont know what would have made my skin better, the care or the procedure itself. I was pampered with a facial, a complimentary paraffin wax for my hands. Then i got the microdermabrasion and the finishing touches of skin pampering. I got a relaxing arm massage too. I've been to Purele almost monthly for the past year and a half or so to get my eyebrows threaded and have always been very pleased with the results. Elena listens to what you're looking for in a shape, is quick and does a very nice job. I've also had my nails done by Jessica a few times and have been thrilled with the results. Her application of the shellac lasts for 3+ weeks without a single chip. She also does fun designs and her input is always spot on. The salon is clean, the appointments are always running on time and are very easy to book (love being able to do it online), and the prices are super reasonable and competitive. You're not going to get anywhere near the quality of services for the same prices elsewhere. I recommend Purele to anyone I can! Read Less

Oh my god. Best Brazilian waxing experience I've ever had. I can't believe they only charge $38! Quick, to the point, and the least pain I've experienced. I also had my eyebrows done and they look perfect. My waxer, Liza, was awesome and everyone there was so nice. The spa smells amazing and is so cute too!! I constantly have to wear boots for my jobs. After a long winter of ignoring my feet, Amanda at Purele restored my soul. 90 minutes of soaking, scrubbing, lotion, paraffin, more lotion, massaging and hot rock massage she topped it off with pretty pink polish. If I could give them more than 5 stars i easily would. Their waxing jobs there are the most phenomenal I've ever had in my life! I first started going to Purele for threading jobs when they were still located in Amherst center. Purima and Elena do an amazing job. When they moved out to Hadley I started getting everything else waxed with them and found it to be super cheap- they do such a good job! I had a nice pedicure there.  They don't have a ton of options for polish, so you may want to consider bringing your own.  Would've been nice if they had offered water or something to drink, as is customary in most places, but I went there for the pedicure with paraffin add-on and was very pleased.  Looking forward to going back. Second time coming to wax my legs. After my first experience I decided that I was never going to shave my legs again (so much damage to your skin). Purele makes the waxing experience extremely pleasant and they really care for your needs. It is best if you pay in cash. They have an ATM inside their local and the fee is only 0.50 cents (not bad at all).Today was my second time here and I tried the eyebrow threading. It was really good although I still need to grow my eyebrows and tame them. Elena (eyebrow threader) was very nice and cared about making my eyebrows look on point. All in all, Purele is hands down the best salon in the area for waxing and threading! A must visit. Read Less

Brazilians are not pleasant. It's just a reality. They can be painful, uncomfortable, and frankly a bit more personal than you ever want them to be. But, they are fantastic when finished, so we ladies make do. I make do in CA just fine, but in this area, there are limited options. Purnima and Elizabeth have changed that. My family lives *somewhat* nearby and I make it a point to align my trip and my Brazilian needs every time I am in town. I added a leg wax this trip, because, why not. Best. Decision. Ever. I want just enough of you to go so that they stay comfortably in business, but not so many that it is difficult to get an appointment. Can we make it work, people of Yelp? Read Less

After reading the reviews on Yelp I decided to give this place a try. Especially since I was looking for a new nail salon. You are able to book online or through an app which is what I did, very convenient. I will say I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in, as from the outside this salon doesn't look like much but once you get inside it's very neat and chic. Carolynn was my nail tech and she was great. I will be going back for sure and asking for her.I wanted to try something different from your usual salon that, has no character and you are just a number. It is safe to say I have had my fair share of bad waxing experiences. Elena is worth the 40 minute drive and I will follow her to the ends of the earth. She is simply the most professional and most thorough waxer I have ever seen. My results last longer than before and the pain of the process is cut at least in half. She is QUICK and helps you through with the all important breathing techniques. I'm tellin ya girls, BREATHE!!! The fenapil she recommends is awesome and cools and soothes freshly waxed skin. The prices are the lowest around and the place is immaculate and adorable. I think a pretty hefty star goes to their easy as pie online appointment booking. I'm a lifer. Read Less

I am so happy I found this place! Best Brazilian I've ever had for a number of reasons. The salon is impeccably maintained and welcoming. They provide privacy for changing which, I suppose doesn't matter ALL that much when you're getting a Brazilian wax but it's still nice.  But best of all is Elena, the waxing professional.  I've gotten waxes before and have been somewhat traumatized by the painful experience.  She coaches you with breathing and it's amazing how much that really helps.  She's also very quick.  This salon uses a combination of two waxes, strip and hard wax.  I was previously of the mindset that hard wax is the best but the results from this wax prove otherwise! When the whole shebang was over, some finapil cream was applied. It has anti microbial properties and gives a cooling sensation to the skin. Loved that!  Will definitely be back in 3 or 4 weeks!
